Thanks for your good explanation really help a lot, may I ask if the specimen I used is not a standard cylindrical shape, will it affect the accuracy of the result much

I'm glad it helped you. It won't affect the results much... But if you're sending it for any journal (as a research paper) then you need to use standard size/shape.
