I wish people would dispel the myth of "it was his (Bradman's) last test innings" ... that's how it turned out, but that wasn't known at the time he went into bat. It was known it was going to be his last test as he had already said he wouldn't be playing the following home summer of 1948-49, and nobody was coming for tests in any case. However, it was the first innings of the match, and although Australia ended up winning by an innings this was by no means a forgone conclusion when Bradman went in at 1 wicket down in the first innings. As a legendary event, it is something of a twisted myth.
Only good teams in the 80s. Apart from the 1983 victory for India nothing particularly memorable was going on at that time with other teams. The real breaking of this hegemony came in 1992 when Pakistan won.
My left ear enjoyed this
What an era

Hadn’t realised that. Good point. At least he went out on a big Australia win!
Daren Gough was a greatly underrated bowler
He was englands main strike bowler for about 8 years
Strange this umpire did not find anything about India that was worth mentioning.
India were second rate when Dickie was umpiring. Even Pakistan we’re better.
Great work. Can we have a little less of Australia losing please.
He is an Englishman. What do you expect?
Dickie Bird's memorable moments were only england playing against Australia and West Indies?
