Hey Ryan,always great to see you pop up on my notifications! I completely understand where your coming from the drivers trying to win in first lap. I have been to and watched many races over the years and do not enjoy watching wrecks and tore up race cars. That's one reason I am glad so many drivers like yourself are doing these videos,as it shows the cost of wrecked race cars to the drivers. The dedication,out of pocket money & long hours of repairing these race cars is enormous at times. So these in shop videos gives the fans a greater knowledge of what it takes to show up every weekend at our favorite tracks to put on a great race for us. I really enjoy watching you doing your thing in the machine shop also. Thanks for another great video and good luck this weekend.
Good idea with the socket. My dad and I do alot of the same little tricks. Always liked those Keiser wheels you run. Look sharp, and can replace just a half.
I'm guessing you're talking about Oakshade Ohio. That track wasn't good 40 years ago when I use to deliver there. Hopefully someone different runs it now. When I delivered there, they had a stinky billy goat and an iltempered dog that followed you around. That was the only dog that to this day, has ever bit me. Good luck with your racing. Be sure to check your rear alignment (squareness) and pinion angles. A shot like that can move them, making you way loose! I know I’m preaching to the choir, but better safe than sorry!
In my opinion this video just shows what type of Person you are.. "Top Notch" when you are smart enough just to stop and take a bit of time to reflect nothing is said that you regret, cause as we all know cooler "Heads Prevail" and you will retain your self respect and you can live with your actions.. Another Awesome video , looking forward to the next video.....
I think you said it Ryan guys trying to win the race on the first lap I can't count how many times it happened to us here when a lot of guys would come in from out of town for a big race. I totally get it being upset. Been there done that. Just glad the car wasn't hurt worse than it was for you. Nice trick on the socket looks like it worked well. Stay Positive you have had some great runs so far we all have a little bad luck every once in a while. Stay Safe. Stay Healthy!

I'm 37 now I grew up at the Track with that being said When I was 14 or 15 I was at my Local track that's about 30 mins from my house it's asphault Carway speedway But anyway the LateModels run their Feature first it was a big money Race 150 or 200 lapper and Dale JR. Was starting like 2 or 3rd Row and own the First Lap He took out half the field of around 25 or 30 cars because JR was trying to win the Race on The First LaP
Question I didn’t think to ask. Here in all divisions were given flat tire laps, between 2 & 3 from the time you get to your pits. Do they do the same for you guys? Fixing busted race cars isn’t fun, especially like you said when everyone tries to win on lap 1
Yeah I don't blame you Ryan it is frustrating and costly, sure didn't make for a good night. It is ridiculous that people would drive like that and then go home and have to fix it for the next race week in and week out.
Sounds like Oakshade has become a track of destruction due to all the unsportsmanlike driving. It’s one thing to be racing for a finish but having your car beat up in the beginning of the race will cost the track spectators and car entries. Gotta believe the flagmen and track officials are failing to enforce unsportsmanlike driving.
Well, I do understand being upset about having to work overtime on the race cars is the worst. After working all-day then putting overtime in on the car is hard on the family. I did feel like the 35 car could have let off the gas after the first hit. You can see in the video that after he hit you he just drove you back into the wall, the rear of your car was hoping pretty high just trying to stop him and you. I couldn't hear his engine but it sure looked like he just stayed in it till it wouldn't go any further.
Really love this guy's videos he's a very holsome down to earth guy who knows winning isn't everything it's just the opportunity to compete that matters I used to watch hunt the front but they became less about family and grassroots racing and more about the money especially after they wouldn't let their dad post videos about racing because it would take their TH-cam income Jonathan joiner has really became hard to watch

Hey Ryan tell your wife when she feeds you fattening foods or deserts it messes with the weight distribution in the race car and creates extra work to scale it back right . That ice cream does look good though.
When you're at the track IR to see if there's anybody that's willing to volunteer to help you would you car like changing tires That way if you ever have another flat E go into the pits if they allow that You change out a tire
There are drivers and then there are drivers. Some just need some maturity and more practice at driving in close company. All in all it could have been a lot worse, Well done on the straightening job and the best of luck on the weekend.

When they grind the tire or syphon it they wrap it like that to keeps it fresh the oils and stuff comes to top
