I do agree with mook about the idea that the popular rap music might get so played out that the public rediscovers and falls in love with real rap again, there’s obviously a huge amount of people who already know rap never went anywhere it’s just in the right places. I’ve hoped this ever since I started rapping around a decade ago, I remember telling my friends that I wanted to do the stuff people weren’t doing right now when they wanted to make pop sounding stuff to get noticed, because people are always looking for the NEXT thing to discover, you never want to make music trying to play catch up to the modern sound, you should grow and add the parts you like to your style so it still has a modern edge but represents the golden age as well
