People remember movies that people put love and effort into. It might be unnoticeable on first watch. But that’s what makes a movie great. Watching it again

This is especially rewarding with long running franchises like X-MEN or the MCU OR when you have a great ad-libbed like Downey or Robin Williams

Fincher has a commitment to detail that makes me consider he'd be an ideal control subject for any number of stress-illness studies- anxiety meds, ulcer meds, etc...

Ulcers are not caused from stress. It's bacteria related. We were lied to.

@@MrDeanWeen stress causes debilitation of physical coping mechanisms. it exacerbates health issues.

My favorite practical effect, and the best one ever imo, is the werewolf transformation in "an american werewolf in London".

2:40 How ironic that in a video about details, you goof and put "45,000" in your title card while saying "450,000"

And then later mentioning Star Wars over a clip from Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back

This is a pretty good list but not mentioning all of the handwritten and handmade notebooks in 'Seven' seems like a big miss.

That was a pretty dark notebook though. I heard Fincher even used a real suicide note for that

Anyone else notice that Nolan and Fincher are on this list multiple times.

Das Boot... the U Boat set was mounted on hoists to film the depth charge scenes.
Galaxy Quest... bridge set mounted on gimbals to allow the set to shake when the ship was 'hit.'

T2. Using Linda Hamilton's twin sister in the confrontation between her and the T-1000 disguised as her. Not the only time Cameron used that trick in the movie, and it's just a wonderful way to use that gag.

9:08 Sigourney Weaver is nearly 6’ tall + ripped in that movie - the actor doing takes over and over and over doesn’t have the same adrenaline the character needs to carry that weight around nor to go on despite eventual injury, which Weaver herself would have been subject to from remaining limp while swung around all day

Could we PLEASE stop replacing the word "unexpected" with "insane"? Sure, the items on this list are unexpected, but they have nothing to do with losing one's mind.

I nominate Terminator where they had Linda Hamilton's twin sister act as her in the mirror spring the scene where they take the chip out of Arnold's head to reset him. Can you believe They actually made Arnold become a cybernetic organism and travel back in time all for that one scene?

10:37 all the effort and you can see where the real floor ends.
