I finally googled it, and found out that pumpkin spice has nothing to do with pumpkin, other than that it is used in pumpkin pie. It is just a blend of wintery spices. I always assumed it adds pumpkin flavor to coffee, which made me wonder why anyone would enjoy that. 😂
