  • Hi! I knew I had to get this die as soon as I saw it. It's got a child like appearance with lots of realistic details. With Tim Holtz's Colorize series, you can make appear to have such depth. I found it a bit intimidating at first, but show you how I started grouping up his dies to make color selection and construction easy. Also, I discuss my intent of storing these for easy use in the future.

Thanks for sharing. I had watched the Sizzix video of how this die set is put together but, they are always a bit robotic. So much better to see all of the different colour options explained. Your tips are very down-to-earth and practical. You are an excellent teacher.

Thank you so much. I bought this last year (too late for Christmas) but I am enjoying it so much, thanks to your detailed instructions. I don't think I would have figured it out without your video. You have made this so easy. Once you explained it, it made so much sense.

I watched Tim's live on Saturday and he considers what I think looks like a mouth, to be the nose of Harvey. I ordered this die and am so looking forward to making many of them. Thanks for the informative video!

The one mouth he using as a nose. That is why the mustache is below. I love your trays. I use Styrofoam meat trays for the same purpose. You did a great job of explaining the uses of the dies. Sizzix has a video on their web site fo all Colorize dies and how to use them. Just saying.

I used Harvey this year but only one per card since I sent out 42 cards. I used double sided adhesive on cardstock before cutting so each were stickers. Cut all pieces except eyes n mouth since they tend to stick in the die. I chose to use adhesive backed felt for hat so had to cut black chin pieces separately. For many of the eyes I decided to use black Nuvo drops (took less time) so they had a sparkle. I also use Nuvo drops for animal eyes (learned from Jennifer McQuire years ago. Like your colors you chose. I did blue this yr. Will do greens next and red the last yr.

I've got to give you a big thank you for this video. I've made 3 soldiers so far, and the experience has been so easy because you did all the hard parts. I'm using the same color scheme as you because I have all the same solid papers. The soldiers are soooo cute. I haven't done the cheeks yet but other than that, I have 3 stunning soldiers.

Great video. Very helpful. I do have a question though, do you think the color and #’s on the back are the different shades? Like the shoes the grays being lighter and darker shades of gray. In the end, it doesn’t matter as we can cut it in any color we want.

It’s a great die. I’m having so much fun with it. So very appropriate for the Queens passing. 🇬🇧 My Christmas cards are having Queens guards on them. The nose looks too much like a mouth as it is. So I just use the little piece that drops out and I think it looks a lot better. Noses should stick out not indent. 😂
