French House NEVER DIES
As much as i dont want to face it, i think french house died a while ago, and sadly the efforts to bring it back have been weak. It is definitly not as strong as it was in the 90s and very early 2000's. French house should just be incorporated into normal house that is still made and played at clubs to this day. No clubs or bars iv been to have played proper french house tunes (with execptions to Stardust MSBWY and Modjos Lady and the odd daft punk one more time). Crydamoure and roule records are just not played anymore, from my experience, and i may be wrong though.
French house will live on, in our hearts and heads. I just dont think it will gain the traction as it did in the big boom of it in the 90s. Which is incredibly sad, as i think there should be entire clubs dedicated to 90s chicago and french house. It would burn the dance floor up and create vibes so strong, strong enough to heal any pain. Thats just my opinion as this music makes me so happy.

I remember listening to those tracks in parties and clubs in my hometown in the 90's. I used to live 2 hours away from Paris, and all the DJ's were bringing back the good tracks to play on the weekend. we knew something special was happening with this sound. It was a positive vibe all along. Good times indeed.
This might be the best hour of music I’ve collectively listened to for a while.

@@ashboy1976 He did a couple of tracks with Bangalter. But they struggle to keep it simple with their names.
You've got a track called "Together" that you already know since it was integrated into Alive. But Together is also the name of the group their formed, and they released a relatively famous song called So Much Love To Give.
Aside from that he worked on countless tracks, but behind the scene and is often not credited. He heavily worked on random access memories for example, but is nonly credited for the last song : Contact.

In 90's, I had the chance to learn mixing with Technics turntables and this kind of wonderful vynils. Living close to Paris, it was so amazing to discover that we will call years after the french touch.

This was a great mix introducing Thomas and Guy-Man's side projects and collaborators. Romanthony's Hold On was a great way to end the video.

@Michael Dog He is one of the rare dj that makes a consensus from the mainstream guy to the hard core electro, techno, acid connoiseur, an artist who stay true to himself which is pretty rare nowadays, much love to him !
@@Bartsonny The only track that got me hooked to his discography was "Down" from GTA IV . Watched his earlier boiler room sets and man its good. May not be like Daft Punk's earlier rare sets from late 90s. Though, he knows how to fuse classic house + current house
This is fucking beautiful, I actually found boys noize slightly before daft punk, but hearing him describe this mix and how they influenced him is like hearing my grandfathers voice again, it brings me back to a time when everything was ok, and helps me think everything will still be ok, because he always said it would, and this mix has happened. Thank you for this, it really means a lot

Roule dissolved as a corporate entity around two years ago I know.
Thomas is gonna focus on Film directing apparently and Guy-man is gonna focus on production for other artist,i read in a new articel from a French magazine.

I love every element of Daft Punk, and to hear and see someone make a such a well done mix of the Roulé and Crydamoure releases, as well as add tid bits of info about them, was just really... I don't know.... Invigorating and special to me. And the clips from Soul Train are a great addition, really encapsulates the charm and feeling of the songs. This made my day, thank you.

I was DJing these tracks 20 years ago and people would come and ask me 'what IS this music?' because it was like nothing they'd heard. They still rock and sound fresh today. Thanks for the insights in the VO. Also the soul Train clips are a perfect fit.
