R.I.P. Jerry Stiller. I first saw him on TV, in the 60's when he would perform comedy routines with his wife (Anne Meara), as Stiller and Meara. A real master of comedic timing.
Jerry Stiller and Estelle Harris in Seinfeld--some of the best casting ever. Not only based on their physical appearance were they believable as George's parents, but their characters' personalities made you understand why George was the way he was!
You have to watch the bloopers for that last scene between Frank and Elaine. It takes probably at least 10 takes where she cannot stop laughing at how funny he is and it's amazing they ever got a take they could use
Oh yeah, that show and cast was perfection. That last scene with Frank and Elaine is part of the bloopers (which you also must see) because Julia couldn’t get through multiple takes without laughing. It was great when any of them lost it, but especially Julia.
I was just going to recommend that. Also funny when Jerry keeps breaking up when Kramer's teeth are stained from turning his apt into a smoking parlor 😂
They should check out the bloopers from each season. The clip from the last scene with Elaine is really good. She starts laughing every time he says, you want a piece of me?
Jerry Stiller sometimes had trouble remembering his lines, causing some pauses as he searched his mind for the next word, and it turned out brilliantly. He also had a hard time saying Del Boca Vista, many outtakes of him flubbing it.
Here in the U.S., it just endlessly plays on reruns. They must have made a billion dollars in syndication. And every time I think I couldn't possibly watch an episode again; I find myself watching it. It's like comic relief comfort food. Best sitcom ever made.
I love the fact that the original idea was for estelle to be loud and frank to be the complete opposite, just a soft-spoken mild-mannered man, until one take where estelle yelled at him and jerry stiller responded by yelling even louder and suddenly frank costanza was born. As someone who's been writing comedy series for years hoping to get one done someday this is still my favorite example of letting the actors do their thing and shape their own characters, which as a writer, your ego sometimes fights very hard against, so I don't take this man's lesson lightly.
While making a "Festivus" toast at the dinner table, Frank informed the assembled guests that it was, first & foremost, & among other things, a tradition for the "airing of grievances". What a festive occasion !
Hey Office Bloke Daz Channel, introduce Office Bloke Aiden to "The Seinfelds" by showing Office Bloke AIden "Seinfeld"!! LOL Has he seen it with Gaynor and Office Bloke Daz?
Seinfeld was just hilarious all the way around! It is obvious they had so much fun doing that in front of a studio audience. The series ran while I was going thru my second childhood and working my dream job - we all talked about it the next day (and beyond). Jason Alexander actually had a semi-recurring role on Young Sheldon as the High School drama teacher in East Texas, and is rather convincing.
Really enjoyed this. Another way to get into the old Seinfeld program would be to watch some of the blooper reels that are posted online. Really funny stuff, and it's always fun to watch the actors crack up.
One of those odd shows which I think the lead character (Jerry) is more replaceable then the co-stars. I could never see anybody replace Kramer, George, Frank et al. Cheers & Seinfeld gave me 16 great years of true sitcom genius growing up. I think I've seen my favorite episode "The Contest" at least 5 times. Great show.
I was watching an off-Broadway play and at the intermission Jerry Stiller was walking around in the audience and I got to talk with him. in real life, actually a calm guy.
I wonder how much Jerry Stiller improvised. He looks like he's trying to get the people he's working with in the scene to crack up. For me, it's still the best written TV comedy ever from the US.
Have you guys done any of Larry David's show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm"? He was the mastermind behind Seinfeld. He was the head writer and executive producer for the first seven years. I like Curb better. It is a semi-fictionalized version of his own life after "semi-retirement". very similar humor but a bit more expanded since it was on HBO and not regular tv.
I love the blooper for the scene where Frank falls over the couch while arguing with Kramer over the name of their bra meant for men and "Fuscili Jerry" goes up his butt.
Seinfeld is the greatest sitcom ever made. MASH, if you haven’t seen that, is great also. We go around quoting Seinfeld lines at work all the time-Serenity Now is a popular one.
You need to watch the bloopers... if you google the last scene of this vid bloopers, itll make you cry of laughter on how many takes it took them to do this... actually in this one you can see George trying his hardest to hold back his laughter.
See Jerry Stiller, his wife Anne Meara, and Ben on Conan in 1996. Ben had recently directed the Cable Guy movie, and was playing sick backstage, and Jerry dragged him onstage.
2:37 some context is needed for this joke. George Steinbrenner(then owner of the Yankees) was played by Larry David. He thought George, Frank's son had passed away and was delivering the tragic news to his parents. While Mrs. Costanza was wheeping, Frank was more upset about an ill advised trade that Yankees made a few years ago. The joke being that Frank cared more about the Yankees than his own son.
There’s nothing quite like the writing in this show. I feel like you’d never have dialogue written now where someone just stops half way through a rant and says they lost their train of thought. Although, there are enough bloopers of stuff like from this that maybe Stiller actually just forgot, played it in character and it was better than if he’d gotten the line out. 😂
Stiller and Meara might go back as far as radio or vaudeville. That’s the reason his humor has live on. Serenity now is just about my favorite because it came of a flaming tape that you can imagine it said in a whispery voice, but when he comes out with it
Funny thing is that Jerry Stiller wasn't the original Frank Costanza. The original actor was much more reserved and the character was recast after Season 4.
That last scene had to be redone a few times, because the Elaine charactor kept laughing during the scene. Find the blooper of it because You will not stop laughing.
For a show to have two all time characters like Frank and George Costanza at once was amazing.
It's like the Yankees murderers row
R.I.P. Jerry Stiller. I first saw him on TV, in the 60's when he would perform comedy routines with his wife (Anne Meara), as Stiller and Meara. A real master of comedic timing.
The “That’s it, you’re grounded” was perfect comedic timing and delivery
Absolutely correct. I remember seeing them on the Ed Sullivan Show many, many times.
Jerry Stiller and Estelle Harris in Seinfeld--some of the best casting ever. Not only based on their physical appearance were they believable as George's parents, but their characters' personalities made you understand why George was the way he was!
The casting director for this show nailed every main character and every supporting actors, actresses and even the
extras
Just a British Husband and Wife that have a great relationship, watching some good old Sienfeld. So wholesome. 🙂 Love it ❤
Love how much daz appreciates seinfeld. I try like twice a month to put my friend on lol. Everyone’s casted so perfectly even George’s mom estelle
My personal favorite line --
Jerry: " Hey Kramer, you want to drive to Queens ? "
Kramer: " Sure. I love the country ! "
There are bloopers of Jerry Stiller in Seinfeld trying to say Del Boca Vista and he has the hardest time.
So funny!
I was just going to recommend that. Also funny when Jerry keeps breaking up when Kramer's teeth are stained from turning his apt into a smoking parlor 😂
The best sitcom of all time, incredible casting, incredible writing.
You guys NEED to watch Third Rock from the Sun. It's an overlooked 90s classic. So is Spin City with Michael J Fox.
Stiller was a master of the "slow burn". Or, more accurately, constant eruptions lol
I grew up on Seinfeld and to this day, I can't articulate why it's so funny. It just is.
Here in the U.S., it just endlessly plays on reruns. They must have made a billion dollars in syndication. And every time I think I couldn't possibly watch an episode again; I find myself watching it. It's like comic relief comfort food. Best sitcom ever made.
So many legendary characters in one show, with all the actors at the peak of their powers
Once you meet George's parents, everything makes sense about George.
Best sitcom ever!
Festivus! For the rest of us! December 23! The Feats of Strength! The Airing of the Grievances!
Jerry Stiller, who plays Frank Costanza, was Ben Stiller's dad. Jerry Stiller passed away in May of 2020 at the age of 92.
While making a "Festivus" toast at the dinner table, Frank informed the assembled guests that it was, first & foremost, & among other things, a tradition for the "airing of grievances". What a festive occasion !
Love the reaction ...... i get the feeling by both your reactions to George's mum that you know someone like her 😂😂
The bloopers from the police station scene are ultimate gold!!!
Agreed. The casting was perfect. But the writing was too. I never fail to get a laugh even now. Great show...
Please do the best of George Costanza
Hey Office Bloke Daz Channel, introduce Office Bloke Aiden to "The Seinfelds" by showing Office Bloke AIden "Seinfeld"!! LOL Has he seen it with Gaynor and Office Bloke Daz?
My all time favorite show. This made my day!
My favorite show, I still watch it every night.
Please watch the bloopers to this show - they're the absolute best ;)
He was hilarious in The King Of Queens sitcom also. And had a much more visible role in it. R.I.P.
I actually though he was even funnier on King of Queens.
Just discovered your channel and think you guys are just great!
"GEORGE LIKES THE BANANAS! 😂😂😂
😂 5:10 one of my fav Frank and Estelle scenes.
SO LET HIM HAVE BANANAS ON THE SIDE! RIP Jerry Stiller and Estelle Harris
I dont know if you guys take recommendations but I'd love to see your guys reactions to some funny golden girls clips! Classic sitcom!
Really enjoyed this. Another way to get into the old Seinfeld program would be to watch some of the blooper reels that are posted online. Really funny stuff, and it's always fun to watch the actors crack up.
hes so good!
Greatest sitcom of all time!
You'd love the Seinfeld Bloopers too.
The Office is every bit as good as Seinfeld
Both good in their own way to me
Seinfeld is still today one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. It never gets old.
Lol when he paused the way he would on some lines or dragged out a word he was legitimately trying to remember the line lol.
Jerry Stiller was brilliant in anything he was in.
The cast of Friends was that way too, meshed together very well.
New sub. You two are the best! Couldn't stop laughing with you. :)
I’m so thrilled to see Brits enjoying classic New York Jewish humor. All written by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld.
The "man bra". Kramer invented it. He also came up with a coffee-table book about coffee tables lol
Best show ever
My favorite Seinfeld episodes feature Frank Costanza.
I loved when Elaine worked for Peterman making the catalogs.
Absolute classic
One of those odd shows which I think the lead character (Jerry) is more replaceable then the co-stars. I could never see anybody replace Kramer, George, Frank et al. Cheers & Seinfeld gave me 16 great years of true sitcom genius growing up. I think I've seen my favorite episode "The Contest" at least 5 times. Great show.
Well Jerry is the hub for the other characters. And he’s a great character too of course.
I was watching an off-Broadway play and at the intermission Jerry Stiller was walking around in the audience and I got to talk with him. in real life, actually a calm guy.
Frank and the feats of strength, but first we air our grievances.😆😆
I wonder how much Jerry Stiller improvised. He looks like he's trying to get the people he's working with in the scene to crack up. For me, it's still the best written TV comedy ever from the US.
Y’all need to force Aiden to watch some Sanfield😂
Have you guys done any of Larry David's show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm"? He was the mastermind behind Seinfeld. He was the head writer and executive producer for the first seven years. I like Curb better. It is a semi-fictionalized version of his own life after "semi-retirement". very similar humor but a bit more expanded since it was on HBO and not regular tv.
I agree. He’s so much of a schmuck and soooo cringy yet you can’t look away 😂
I love the blooper for the scene where Frank falls over the couch while arguing with Kramer over the name of their bra meant for men and "Fuscili Jerry" goes up his butt.
Jerry Stiller was epic ❤❤❤
I miss shows like this
Frank is hilarious! Him and Newman are the best supporting characters on the show.
No wonder his son Ben Stiller grew up to be so funny, he had to compete with the best all his life lol.
festivus!
For the rest of us!
Seinfeld is the greatest sitcom ever made. MASH, if you haven’t seen that, is great also. We go around quoting Seinfeld lines at work all the time-Serenity Now is a popular one.
Kramer was in the weird Al movie UHF before Seinfeld.
“MY MOP!!!!!”
Jerry Stiller was also great on King of Queens as Carrie's dad.
Two of my favorite shows are Seinfeld and King of Queens. Jerry Stiller is a big part of the reasons why.
George worked for George Steinbrenner's Yankees (sporadically).
Somehow I’m visualizing Adens future with head slaps by both parents after this video reaction…
perfect casting.
Hey Daz. Yall should think about reacting to full episodes of Seinfeld. I'd certainly watch.
George lived with his parents, because he kept getting fired. He had a problem with telling the truth lol
Have you seen curb your enthusiasm?
😂😂😂😂
Jerry was the goat
Do you plan to do reactions to Philomena Cunk?
2:37 some context is needed for this joke. George Steinbrenner(then owner of the Yankees) was played by Larry David. Pls do George next
Cantstandya
@@F28aj 😂😂
Since Curb Your Enthusiasm you can really see Larry David all over Seinfeld.
The Costanza's are the GOATs
You have to give Curb Your Enthusiasm a try.
There’s nothing quite like the writing in this show. I feel like you’d never have dialogue written now where someone just stops half way through a rant and says they lost their train of thought.

Manzier or The Bro! One of the best episodes ever written!!
4:26 He's in the movie, Problem Child. He's a escaped prisoner. It's a comedy.
I ‘stop short’ with my groceries a lot…🤷♀️. Keeps them from falling on the floor of the car.
“This guy….this is not my kinda guy”
You have to see Seinfeld bloopers!
SERENITY NOW!!! What in the hell did you trade Jay Buehner for?
😂😂😂
Jerry’s parents lived in Florida. George’s lived in Queens.
I think you should introduce Aiden to Seinfeld by showing him 2 episodes. The Virgin and The Contest. My 2 favorite episodes.
“Serenity now!”
Any time Larry David wrote George's parents it was brilliant
The actor that plays Frank is Ben Stiller's dad in real life.
