I used to have a shadow person, he wasnt evil, he just watched me from around open doors and door frames, the closest he got to me was a few feet away while hiding behind a door, he never felt evil, and he never got close. He was actually quite helpful, as while I had him, whenever i was at school and I accidentally dropped or lost a hairband from one of my wrists, it would appear on my other wrist a while later, the last time I saw him, He ran past my door wearing a neon blue mohawk that looked to be glowing. That was the first time I saw him move and I was so suprised that I laughed, I think that was his goal, To make me laugh because I wouldn't see him again
When I was a little girl I was laying on the sofa just waking up thinking I saw my grandma outside the door i looked again and she was gone i looked next to me my grandma was on the sofa next to me i felt weird one i realised that it was not her that i saw outside the door
I saw a shadow person once. I don't even care about them, I'm not afraid because I know that they can't do anything. Even if I ever hear voices, or see dark figures, I've got God or the universe or something good on my side.
I've had many experiences of the paranormal kind and while I may not have encountered a shadow person I know people who have and they describe it as the same feeling you get when you encounter something that's demonic in nature whether human or creature and a witch for instance where they are incredibly open about the evil deeds. It filled them with this complete dread because they picked up on the evil intent despite them having no facial features to show it apart from body language. Given that I have encountered an evil spirit before as a young child in some woods I know the dread that they mean
@Polyhexgaming my best guess is the universe is the "higher power" or, in the spiritual sense, maybe a guardian of some kind like passed loved ones or another spiritual guide of sorts. Normally, they will protect you from the sort of negativity that shadow people or general evil figures will project into the environment they're present in

I have lived most of my life in haunted houses and we did have at least one house that did have shadow figures they upset my son who was very sensitive to the paranormal but they never attacked anyone and my son had moved in with a school friend and never had thar happen again so far anyway
