    Bolinger for the win in my opinion. Not 1, not 2, but 3 moving parts in one vehicle. Outstanding utilitarian look. The biggest fail to me was the Lexus LX SUV. The rear liftgate looks way to bulky, doesn't fit well, and barley opens at all.

      101%, u can even stick a toothpick through it, staying true to the original design.

    The Lexus LFA is a disappointment from moving parts it looks so simple and it looks just like a tomica. No spoiler no graphics the wheels are mismatched . I was totally disappointed from the beginning when I saw the prototype samples I was thinking they would modify it at least.

      They should have put that as a Mainline instead

      The Tomica one is also double the price

      I think the Lexus should have had a chrome bumper similar to how they had the new Cadillac Escalade casting.

      Only nürburgring edition has a fixed spoiler. Normal model spoiler only raises at high speed. Spoiler wise matchbox model is accurate.

      💯 percent agree. What a wasted opportunity for what could’ve been a truly iconic casting.

    Lexus LFA is my most disappointing, It was really lame to what matchbox can do with a model, Maybe if it was a $1 car but really like to with a complete upgrade and also see the five spokes on it. Matchbox Really needs a new basic wheel for 2024. And I really Liked the Bentley this year, I love the golden age cars of matchbox Modernized. 🔥

    Triumph gets the win for me. Nice, well proportioned factory spec with all the details you'd like to see. Definition of a MBX. Was looking forward to the LFA, just like everybody else, because it's one of the greatest cars of our generation. Had high hopes for a Matchbox, but they completely botched it. No mirrors is already a negative, but the wonky doors and odd proportions just ruin it. The wheel choice couldn't have been worse, needs a lower profile tire. Not a fan of the graphics either, especially the odd inclusion of "Lexus" spelled out across the back. Don't know why they did that.

    The Riviera for me.

    The thing I most dislike about opening parts is that it seems to be what Matchbox is concentrating on nowadays. I've found all sorts of opening parts at stores, but finding and keeping track of regular mainlines has been quite difficult. I eventually decided I wasn't going to buy any more opening parts unless they are amazing!

    The Bollinger is the best one here imo, with three moving parts, followed by the Triumph TR6. I also like the Chevy Tahoe, Mercedes Sprinter, and Buick Riviera. Most dissapointing? The Lexus LFA, it looks a bit too chunky compared to the actual car. In general, it's been a good year for Moving Parts and 2024 seems to be even better. Hopefully, they are going to be more easily available in the near future, as distribution still feels lacking here in Europe.

    LFA is the most disappointing, where the Hell is the C pillar window.....☹

  • @littlescalecars
    @littlescalecars ปีที่แล้ว +4

    LFA is easily the most disappointing, the hype was crazy for that one and the execution just wasn’t as good as it should have been.

    I thought the 69 boss mustang was going to be great but it doesn't look right when I took it out of the package, very disappointing
    On the other hand I really like the Chevrolet Tahoe, black & proportioned correctly, perfect bowtie illustration 👍🏻

    • @VladimirBlarp
      @VladimirBlarp ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A chrome base on that Mustang would have made a huge difference

    Recently reviewed the Chevy Tahoe design which Matchbox should look over because the opening part engine hood hinge causes marks on the windscreen at the bottom where teh wipers are. Bought 4 models and the opening part does the same thing on all of them.

    Unimog was most disappointing for me. No interior. Why not MB??? Like the Unimog, but that was a major let down. Bollinger was amazing!!

    The Mustang Boss 302 was my favorite.

    Ford Country Squire wagon is my #1 choice, the Bollinger & F-100 truck are my other favorites. Disappointed in the Lexus LSA, nice casting but the door gap all around with the white paint looks bad, maybe a dark color would hide the door gaps better. All other ‘23 Moving Parts castings are fine

  • @hunteratkins3717
    @hunteratkins3717 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I was really excited for the Land Rover LR4 however, when the casting came out, I was really disappointed with how messy it looked like all of the tempos were kind of wonky, and the door gaps were really big. It was just really disappointing because I really have a soft spot for the LR4 and when it came out it just didn’t live up to expectations. I just think it doesn’t look as clean as it probably should have.

    Best: Bolinger with not one but two opening parts Worst: Lexus LFA. Matchbox could have done with better wheels, better paint (gloss instead of matte or satin) and insert headlights like Hotwheels did for their basic Honda Prelude since it is a very popular car not only as a diecast but even in real life. Honestly should have just put in the mainline without opening doors to make it look a diecast model car instead of as a 5 year old toy car with opening doors.

    The LFA is surprisingly poorly realized. Easy "winner" of Most Disappointing. Still have it on the shelf because LFA but it even rides so low in slightly scuffs the chassis when rolling. That in addition to the obvious styling compromises with the casting. Best are the 57 Ford, the Triumph, unique Bollinger, and under-rated Riviera.

  • @cleverusernamenexttime2779

    Most disapointing for me. 57 Ford and 63 F100. The hood doesn't open on the 57 and I haven't found the effie.😂😢

    Om just glad that the opening parts are metal hopefully when they release the i8 again the doors will actually be metal

  • @etuskoe
    @etuskoe ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The LFA is too big, the cut lines on the doors are way too thick, and the back end looks squashed in all dimensions. Total bummer so it gets my vote for most disappointing.
    Also matchbox NEEDS smaller wheels. Their current size is forcing their models out of scale, hence why i was disappointed by the Twizy.

  • @kleverich

    Folks, what's with all the votes for Tesla Model 3 for most disappointing? I see the car here on the roads here in the UK a lot and this model is so crisp and accurate - it's wonderful! What I don't like is a moving parts model where the moving part, like a tailgate/boot doesn't open properly. Matchbox, come on!

  • @thealifrs4_463
    @thealifrs4_463 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    why they can't make a better hood opening because some models won't let their hood stay up, this can be seen if you shake a bit when they still in the package you hear a ticking noise
