I know it can be annoying when people say "Only 90's kids remember...", but seriously, I'm not sure younger people realize how massive Boyz II Men was in the 90's. They were untouchable, and the undisputed kings of this style of music. I think almost 30 years later, they are still unmatched.
I just saw they perform recently near me.. I’m only 21, but growing up .. my mother always had them on the radio (ESPECIALLY THEIR CDSs).. and i know all of their songs word for word .. their music was so unmatched and still untouchable
My mom took me to their concert in las cruces New Mexico (where this was filmed) when I was just a young boy. Rest in peace mom. Thank you for giving me the love of music.
I'm 33, having coffee and waiting for my kids to get up. And for a precious 4 minutes and 5 seconds, I was 8 years old again, hanging out with friends at the public pool in the summer, and listening to this song for the first time, blaring from someone's car radio in the parking lot. Thank you for this.
Babyface is incredible. Now that I'm older I can hear the signature of his production in many of my favorite songs from childhood. Songs that took a place in my heart that I'd appreciate later only to discover it was him behind the magic.
BabyFace stole that song from me! I'm Bigga Don from the group RAS Posse. I was signed to LaFace Records in 93 when we recorded the original song "Well Run Dry" BabyFace heard it loved it and said that that would be our first release off our RAS Posse album. Time passed and he never put out our album but changed the lyrics stole our video idea and gave it to Boyz II Men. Notice that the name of their song makes no sense. The phrase is you never miss your water until your "Well Runs Dry" He did'nt want it to be so obvious so he came up with a liquid running dry. Now you know

It's just different and this is coming from someone who really likes the music of today as far as entertainment but when it comes to feeling something in your soul I'm always carried back to artists like Boyz ll Men, Jodeci, Whitney, Mariah, En Vogue, SWV, Xscape, Shai, Hi Five, Lisa Fischer, Caron Wheeler and so many others. It kind of makes me sad.... I miss this vibe so much. But thank God for TH-cam so we can travel back in time...

This is such a unique break up song. So many break up songs are about cheating, arguing, or fighting. This song is like, sometimes you just fall out of love. There’s no bad blood or anything, the passion just diminishes over time. You both became different people who are no longer compatible with each other.
And I quote "Why do we hurt each other? why do we push love away?" And I quote again "Some people will work things out, but some just don't know how to change."😍😍🥰🥰
when this song came out i was 10 years old and i used to cry without knowing the meaning, now am 38 i cry harder each time i listen to it. Boys 11 Men was something else. The best group of our generation
I’m not a soft person in the least, but the melody literally enters my soul. I still get goosebumps, my goodness ... everything about this song is the perfect combination
This album will always hold a special place in my heart. My mom and dad got divorced 1995. My mom & 2 sisters didn’t have any power or water, all we have was our boombox with DD batteries and we listened to this album over and over….😢
This was my dad's favourite Rnb group, used to tell us he was the fifth member. still can't believe your gone😢, bitter sweet memories, miss you dearly, rest peacefully dad♥️♥️🕊
I played violin in my middle school orchestra when this song was released ...I remember being so mesmerized by the video, sound and the lyrics of this song- something out of a dream!!! Down south where I’m from it is all about the marching band , but I remember this song making playing a stringed instrument kinda “cool” as we would say back in ‘95!!!! I fell in love with music because of these four gentleman. Thank you Boyz II Men for your inspiration then and as grown woman now fastly approaching 40, your lyrics still ring true and mean even more to me now! These guys are true gems and one of a kind!!!!!! 💕
I miss the 90's so much the shit hurts. Listening to the music is bitter sweet. Good memories from growing up, but shit is sad when you think how much things have changed and you dont have that feel anymore. This shit right here got played in my walkman till the tape popped. Real music.
2022 and I still listen to this amongst others... they really don't make heartfelt music like this anymore !! It touches your soul 🥺 EDIT: THANKS FOR ALL THE LIKES YALL!❤💙
I was in the car...it was evening and all the slow jams were playing. This song came on and I didn't know what to do with myself...I was instantly happy and got my vocal cords ready to sing along. Uhm...so yeah...I don't sing all that great but when you in the car with one of your jams...one sings beautifully. Thank you for all the good music B2M. 💞 From 215.

"Some people will work things out and some just don't know how to change"...
Factz!
Says volumes
Best boy band of all time don't argue with u ✔️💯
Not a boy band, r&b vocal group
Can't say Boyz II Men without mentioning New Edition
Jackson 5
Jagged Edge and they still making music.
If the love isn’t like 90’s R&B, I don’t want it.
Got married in the 90s and it still feels like a 90s love song.
Totally agree 👍💯
This is such a unique break up song. So many break up songs are about cheating, arguing, or fighting. This song is like, sometimes you just fall out of love. There’s no bad blood or anything, the passion just diminishes over time. You both became different people who are no longer compatible with each other.
And I quote "Why do we hurt each other? why do we push love away?" And I quote again "Some people will work things out, but some just don't know how to change."😍😍🥰🥰
😢

Amen love conquers all but the wicked never sleep
So sad how we take things for granted. This song is timeless because the message speak to all of us not to take the wrong turn in life..

Underrated?? How? They are one of the largest groups in music history and this is one of their biggest hits.
I’m not a soft person in the least, but the melody literally enters my soul. I still get goosebumps, my goodness ... everything about this song is the perfect combination
Hayden M. You’re handsome 😩

Power of music
🥲
This album will always hold a special place in my heart. My mom and dad got divorced 1995. My mom & 2 sisters didn’t have any power or water, all we have was our boombox with DD batteries and we listened to this album over and over….😢
Quality never gets old.
This was my dad's favourite Rnb group, used to tell us he was the fifth member. still can't believe your gone😢, bitter sweet memories, miss you dearly, rest peacefully dad♥️♥️🕊

He was right.....sorry 4 your lost
I played violin in my middle school orchestra when this song was released ...I remember being so mesmerized by the video, sound and the lyrics of this song- something out of a dream!!! Down south where I’m from it is all about the marching band , but I remember this song making playing a stringed instrument kinda “cool” as we would say back in ‘95!!!! I fell in love with music because of these four gentleman. Thank you Boyz II Men for your inspiration then and as grown woman now fastly approaching 40, your lyrics still ring true and mean even more to me now! These guys are true gems and one of a kind!!!!!! 💕
This song is 30 years old and I still love it as much today as I did when it was when it first came out. That’s the definition for of timeless!

Thank u!! I’m glad somebody mentioned it. His bass is phenomenal 🔥🔥🔥
His bass is truly unmatched🔥
The reason I'm a fan of theirs... especially when using headphones...the bass is everything
Yesssss🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I miss the 90's so much the shit hurts. Listening to the music is bitter sweet. Good memories from growing up, but shit is sad when you think how much things have changed and you dont have that feel anymore. This shit right here got played in my walkman till the tape popped. Real music.
2022 and I still listen to this amongst others... they really don't make heartfelt music like this anymore !! It touches your soul 🥺
EDIT: THANKS FOR ALL THE LIKES YALL!❤💙

@Bleach Blonde mermaid I thought she was forever my lady but I swear I'm down to my last cry(see what I did there) 🤣
I was in the car...it was evening and all the slow jams were playing. This song came on and I didn't know what to do with myself...I was instantly happy and got my vocal cords ready to sing along. Uhm...so yeah...I don't sing all that great but when you in the car with one of your jams...one sings beautifully. Thank you for all the good music B2M. 💞 From 215.
All you kids or young men in 20's you never understand the power and soul Boyz II Men shared with the whole world. They are the best R%B men group of all time. I am age 41.
You don't like jodeci
90s music was the best time for music. Pure talent and musicianship.
You can say that again
Sure was best decade ever for music
Well you can thank me for the inspiration for this song. This is my story that I wrote about breaking up with my girlfriend. Now you know
Yes
@@biggadonNYC yeah right Jeff bozos stole my idea for amazon
Only 43M views!! We need more music like this these days.
I listened to this song thousands of times after my high school crush broke up with me when we were 15 in 1995.
She avoided me in the halls for years but we got back together in 1998 and we've been married 20 years as of 2020 :).
Philo Judaeus of Alexandria beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good for you guys 👍
Philo Judaeus of Alexandria to jazz dkkl
Philo Judaeus of Alexandria 💍💎 that's nice.
I guess she realized the grass wasn't greener on the other side.
My Momma took my brother and I here as children. We ran and rolled down the hills. She passed away February 2024, she left a glass bottle of sand from this glorious place ❤️

This song hits different when you love someone but can't be with them 🥺🥺

Tell me about it 😔
That brush snare pattern propels this song from platinum to diamond. Brilliant producing.
BRILLIANT
Facts
That's the brilliance of Babyface. He also wrote this beautiful song.
Yes
Babyface is brilliant, he understood music. He put vocals first and complemented them with his production. Today they put production before vocals, just loud noise.
