Honestly one of Larry's best performances. There was feeling and emotion, great musicality (as usual), and new moves for days. Even without Laurent, this was hands down his best
frankly enough, this is probably the most biased battle i have ever witnessed in the history of dance. if the guy in the black pants on the right side (it's either djylo or yanka) pulled off 12:09, crowd would have gone "AAAAYYYYEEEOHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" like a bunch of overhyped ravers on steroids and LSD. the man rubs his leg - "AAAAYYYYEEEE!!!!" (4:37), the man bounces on the floor like kermit the frog - "AAAAAAYEEEEE!!!!" (4:43)... then 8:45-8:55 you can hear crickets. crowd's got the poor guy in the red jacket with an afro confused (8:56). if larry battled against a snail on that same dance floor, i guarantee this same crowd would go bonkers if the snail happened to sneeze - so don't even try to deny that this battle was biased from both the crowd and the judges, it's not even disputable, it's a fact

I really never get uncomfortable watching a silent crowd (Japan and America have silent crowds watching them too but their facial expressions are way different, especially the Japanese since I’m Japanese myself), but the European one just takes it a little too far imo. It’s more defending them as people rather than them as dancers, because this is more of a humane problem dealing with prejudice/psychological pre-bias than one that has to do with them being qualified battlers or not. I was watching this video and wondering why no one was cheering for the dude in the afro, he hit the beats on another level. Then I realized it was deliberate. I totally agree. I have been watching Larry for a long time and I notice how much he truly dances to every little moment in the song. Other dancers can't compare. Definitely stupid that he lost

As Ken Inao sad: “Les Twins might enjoy battling, but the crowd doesn’t enjoy watching them at all because of their fame. You could say I’m a fanboy, but if you look at the crowd whenever they dance (and not just here, Hiphop Forever - Summer Dance Forever 2016 battles is another good example) and are keen on human emotions (which I trust you are), then you can tell the switch goes off on them drastically compared to any other dancer. I really never get uncomfortable watching a silent crowd (Japan and America have silent crowds watching them too but their facial expressions are way different, especially the Japanese since I’m Japanese myself), but the European one just takes it a little too far imo.
It’s more defending them as people rather than them as dancers, because this is more of a humane problem dealing with prejudice/psychological pre-bias than one that has to do with them being qualified battlers or not. Ukay/Ben vs. Waydi/Rochka had plenty of silent moments for Ukay and Waydi, but just by looking at the crowd’s faces the difference can be seen easily.
From 2015 onward the hate towards them has become pretty irrationally based on their fame (they’re so big now that they hold their own tour and make rap songs, not something a normal dancer could do), and like I said if you’re not oblivious to human emotions you can tell the level of disapproval in the crowd when they battle in Europe just by watching their faces.
I just don’t really think it’s just me that gets an uncomfortable feeling watching the European crowd since many have commented by now, and some will naturally disagree but with this many people agreeing on this it’s hard to really deny that there’s no difference in atmosphere, otherwise nobody would be talking about it in the start lol“
