Slow cookers are great , use very little power and can produce some amazing food (with very little steam coming out) they're really handy if your going out for the day and want to come home to a tasty cooked meal 😋
Hi, thank you for watching and taking time to write a comment ❤Slow cookers sound perfect! We like slow cooked brisket, imagine that prepared with no fuss! I believe you can get away with cooking cheaper cuts that way. What is your go to slow cooker recipe? K
Thank you for your comment, Leslie. I'm glad you found the points about ventilating clothing and drying things outside helpful. Condensation can be a common problem in touring caravans, especially during colder months when there is a greater difference between the inside and outside temperatures. By taking steps to improve ventilation and reduce moisture levels, you can help minimize the risk of condensation and keep your caravan more comfortable.
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad to hear that you found the tips in the video helpful. Condensation can be a real problem in caravans and can lead to dampness and even mold if not properly addressed. By taking steps to reduce humidity levels and improve ventilation, you can help prevent these issues and keep your caravan dry and comfortable. I hope you have a great week too!
Me and my boyfriend live in a caravan park same as you ours is a 2 bed static caravan and the condensation issue is driving me insane 😭 I've bought a dehumidifier, I've put condensation strips on the windows, damp traps, I open our windows and doors every day and there's still fkn condensation on the window in the front room where our bed is and on the side door and the front door not sure what to do as I'm cleaning black spores off the glass door frames and stuff, we've got a cat and we can't leave windows open except for the kitchen window which leads into an outdoor catio we've made for him so I feel like there's no air circulation no matter what. I dry some of my boyfriend's tshirts on our oil radiator even though its not wise but leaving them outdoors to dry is just not doable cos they take ages to dry sometimes it could be where its cold indoors as well idk
Hi, if you have single glazed windows, I am afraid there is no escape from it. Window vacuum cleaner may be a solution to clear your windows in the morning. The beauty of it is that water collects in a container, which you can empty. Much better than wiping windows with cloths... which then need to be dried in the van... and guess what! Release all this water back into the air. Roll on spring! Good luck and dont let it break your spirit. Living in a caravan in winter is not easy and many people would not manage! You re doing great. Kat
I use a dessicant dehumidifier, it’s fantastic. Even puts out some heat, keeps everything dry, I can dry my clothes by putting them and it in the shower cubicle. Dry air is much easier to heat up, so I’m in my caravan in October, with no heat on, just the dehumidifier running on its lowest setting. Just 8p an hour to run on that setting, and I don’t need it on all the time. I would not want to stay in a caravan without it.
That's a great idea! And thank you for sharing! I think that more and more people start this lifestyle and this is a great tip. Winters are harsh... Kat
Hi, do you happen to know where to buy a damp free to start with caravan? If it needs to be a new one, a good place in the UK to purchase one? Thanks ☺️
