The slowed down version of "You Say Run" with the vocals when Deku was going after Eri.. always tugs on those heart strings.. But that look he gives Overhaul before that final punch!😳 This episode definitely broke the internet when it was released. I was speechless for a week🙌
What I love about this episode is Lemillion lost his quirk, lost his fight, his master was impaled and mortally wounded. But what inspired Eri wasn't his ability but his spirit. She chose Lemillion despite everything and they won because of it. Love Deku but I gotta say this arc kinda proved Nighteye right, Mirio is his own symbol of peace.
I don't know what it was when I first saw this episode but from the start of the music and Deku catching Eri, as a 30 year old man had me bawling through the whole episode. I mean that song still gets me but idk this episode broke me in a way none of the others up til now had. Easily one of the best episodes and a great cathartic end to Overhaul saga
All adaptations run the risk of failing. The animation seemed to nail it. Live action could do it justice with modern cgi but chances are it wont translate well.
Mentioning it now before it's too late, if you do watch the second MHA movie (Heroes Rising), do note it takes place in the middle of Season 5 (best watched after episode 12 or 13). Though it was released while Season 4 was airing, it was written to take place where the source material currently was. Many reactors don't know that and watch it early, getting spoiled on certain things that happen in Season 5 beforehand.
Hey Kal, Hey Em. Been warching you two since your AOT and i've been fan since. Quick question, how often do you upload on your patreon/plex. Do you have a schedule for you series? Or do you record certain series in bulks and upload them together
Thank you for your support. We typically upload to plex a week ahead of anything that goes live on TH-cam. The only exception to that is if a big drop happens like the last AOT episode. We like to get that out asap. I think i uploaded Ep 81 to plex last night which will go live on youtube next Thursday. I hope that makes sense.
This is a LEGENDARY episode. What can I possibly say that others haven’t about this episode? Well I’m going to try anyway. Eri’s quirk is among the strongest quirks in the show. And by among the best I don’t mean in the top 5, but in my opinion it’s tied for 1st RIGHT up there with AFO and OFA. The possibilities are near ENDLESS. For her biggest rewind to be in only a few years tops and erasing her father into NOTHING so that’s 30+ years on a relatively short charge. And one can only assume she is the true reason Nighteye saw a different set of events. She is also more or less the only reason Overhaul survived a 100% sky exploding punch to the face from Deku. Otherwise that’s a decapitation. And that can STRAIGHT UP develop into a full time swaying quirk. Because remember this is her most BASIC version of her quirk as a basically newborn quirk. And every quirk gets more complex and honed as they grow up with it in this show. (I do not believe we will see this because she is THAT broken. No contact, at SUCH a rapid speed, she could kinda break show consequences. Oh and her rewind didn’t erase Deku’s split hand from fighting Todoroki, the Dabi Burn Scar, or the Muscular ligament damage. But everything from the Overhaul Raid is healed.) Nice to see the girls have their moment. One of the situations with big team efforts is you don’t really get to develop many new quirk aspects. Unless the episode is dedicated to the team. But I will say this could be another moment Uraraka’s quirk did weird stuff. She kinda alters her direction in the air as she floats to the surface, so this might be either her gravity direction changing aspect, or her giving other objects a gravitational pull to pull herself or something else in that direction. And based on the speed, it doesn’t look like she’s falling so I’m going to say the latter. (Yes it does matter, her gravity rules are INSANE. It’s why I think her quirk is #3 in the whole show. And it’s STILL not done going crazy.) Sadly nothing particularly new for Tsu, Nejire, or Ryukyu. Also the leader of the Yakuza wanted her to be taken care of. He is her grandfather. He wanted to make sure she wasn’t traumatized further of accidentally killing her father. And Overhaul took “looking into her quirk” as quite literally dissecting her. And he used it to try and rule over society like AFO did. So yeah…a bit far. But he DOES care about the Yakuza leader whole heartedly. Even if it’s warped. That’s why I said he’s not a psychopath. He DOES feel empathy. And he wanted to bolster his feelings of the organization. Yknow. Can’t say that man wants to rule Japan, but he wanted to be relevant. Won’t say anything about Deku outside this is another stepping stone to my theory. He is currently using all 400% of his charged stockpile. (He’s 4x stronger than he was in season 1 at 100%.) And I don’t see the weather changing. He is IN the sky and All-Might FROM the ground can move MULTIPLE clouds to create full rainy weather. At 1/60 of his prime. Deku is still outmatched by his master BIG time. All-Might causes earthquakes, tornadoes, ignites the air, and every natural disaster under the sun as he moves. And Deku MAXED OUT can’t perform the same. This is not a diss. I’m just bringing this up because All-Might was injured PRIOR to passing OFA. So the chances of him passing the prime of OFA is EXTREMELY unlikely. Deku is building up to what we saw All-Might accomplish in season’s 1-3, but we are not at that juncture. (Though this is a BIG stepping stone.) And last, yeah Eri is capable of healing All-Might. That is something she can do. And I think she will. There is no reason to introduce such an absurdly strong quirk unless this was the goal narratively.
Eri's quirk isn't the reason for Nighteye's prediction to not come true. OFA is canonically able to twist fate, which is what happened here. It's even framed that way during the episode. Nighteye: Does that mean the future can change? Camera: *Zooms in on Deku's determined face* Izuku: Even if it's been decided, I will twist that fate!
@@SomeGuy-h4z I know why people say that. But in this situation as big as it is that he fights fate and overcomes Nighteye’s realistic pessimism with his optimism, it’s also not at all easy to say that the ONLY TIME QUIRKS don’t effect each other. To introduce a quirk that undoes while the other sets in stone. EVERYTHING about rewind screams Foresight’s perfect counter. To effect someone on a literal species level and honing in on every single facets of the body while not effecting others, and just SO much more AND Eri breaking her own spoken rules by effecting the non living too. (She undoes Overhaul and Nemoto fusion but restores their clothes to exactly how they were prior to their fusion.) But to rule out the time effect in an arc ALL ABOUT what to do with time seems really silly to block it off timeline effects.
@@Kaempfdog No, while I'm not denying it also makes sense, it is simply not true and just your headcanon. You're free to create all the headcanons you want, but it's simply the case that the one who overturned the prediction isn't Eri, but OFA/Deku. Did her healing his injuries let him tap into that power? Sure, but it's not because her rewind with counters Nighteye's.
Wow. This is my first time seeing the dub of this particular episode and a *lot* was lost in translation, especially Eri's character. Eri's reasoning for going back to the heroes isn't because she _wants_ to, but because they won't give up and will get themselves killed eventually. This ties to her character. The dub made her the typical helpless child in these types of series rather than the snowball we've come to love. 😑

It was so great. Also, beyond the excitement of Deku using 100%, using it on someone who has been harming a child makes it so much sweeter.
Hypest episode so far. Talk about using a cheat code to utilize 100% with no repercussions.
I think you could tell how excited we were by that. The pitch of my voic we went so high lol
I'm loving y'all reactions to my hero. I can't definitely for y'all to see the second movie after this season
We will watch it once S4 is over. We are looking forward to it.

Loved seeing overhaul get hos ass kicked
Thanks to the air pressure One For All creates, Midoriya at 100% was able to use that to essentially "fly" by kicking the air over and over again.
The combination of Midoriya and Eri could probably destroy any powerful villains. The only problems are the ethical ones. 😅
My friend: This would be cool in live action
Me: *watching Overhaul turn himself into a meat tornado* No, no, animation is fine. 😅
All adaptations run the risk of failing. The animation seemed to nail it. Live action could do it justice with modern cgi but chances are it wont translate well.
@Kal El Can Fly Oh yeah. I just don't think I could handle cgi meat tornado Overhaul lol. The animation really went off this episode, they nailed it.
"meat tornado" is just too accurate 😂🤣
It wasn't just his meat he tornadoed ewwwwww
The second movie is called: My Hero Academia: Hero Rising
Infinity Deku.🤩

It really was. We hope you enjoyed the reaction
