Hi! I'm the designer of the Defense Against Dark Arts magnets! I am so glad you liked the magnets so much! My goal was precisely to create something beautiful to look at but also with a creepy vibe: I tried to channel into the drawings the feelings I had about the use of these dark spells in the harry potter books and in the movies (especially when Professor Moody explained them in the class!). I'm really really happy with the result and litjoy has turned one of my dreams into reality. I totally agree with you on the salt and pepper shakers - my labels are completely crooked. It was a good idea that could have been executed a bit better. I’m in love with the potions key and the teacup. Going to get fake plant leaves for my mandrake (I would have failed Herbology - I kill everything green no matter how hard I try). My kids love the bag lol!!! I can’t get it back from them! 😂 I’m sure we will be taking it on our next Wizarding World trip.
on my box, my shaker labels were really crooked. I tried to gently peel them off to straighten them, but they immediately ripped and tore. You're right, they're very cheap and not well done. The base of my mandrake planter didn't arrive. I was told that a large portion of their shipment arrived broken, and they are being replaced. Overall, not my favorite litjoy box.
I'm obsessed with pretty much every item in this box, but the sleeper hit was definitely those Unforgivable Curses magnets. They could not have had a more gorgeous design.
That was such a fun box. The candle mobile was my favorite. The Dark Arts pins were great, but I really loved the keys. They were fantastic. Another great video from our favorite Potter Collector.
I was not super impressed with this one personally. I think Litjoy has done so much better with past boxes. I love the candle carousel and if they stock it, might buy one depending on the price. I have found beautiful inexpensive carousels on eBay! I now have unicorn, owl and stag/doe patronus carousels. Love them. The litjoy keys are always outstanding, but I had to stop collecting them at 3 because they are a bit out of my price range. The magnets are beautiful. Great video as always!
I agree, really didn't like this box personally! I didn't love anything in the actual crate other than the magnets & maybe the mandrake planter - the rest I wouldn't use or display 🤔 the salt and shakers looked so cheap you could make them yourself!
The bag is honestly really clever and well-executed! Down to the blackboard illustrations and ears. I think its only weakness is that the thin nylon material feels/looks more modern, and therefore a bit less magical. I still think the thought behind it deserves recognition
I was so excited to finally get this box, and I wasn't disappointed! I agree that the cat bag is my least favorite, but it's clever. I really like the salt and pepper shakers because I love collecting different ones, but I agree that the stickers were lower quality. Still really cute though, and I'm excited to display those for Halloween! The magnets are gorgeous, and I was glad that they are magnets and not pins. The monster book is sooo soft. And of course the tea cup is amazing. And the mandrake planter is adorable!! So many great items in this box.
I literally teared up with joy when I saw the keys in the add-ons box! If I will ever afford to have a Harry Potter collection the Alohomora keys is the first collection I will own.
I got my box today and the magnets and Quidditch key add-on were, by far, my favorites. I wish they had done something a little different with potions though
My favorite items are the schedule and potions key. One complaint I wish they had added items from the less well known classes like Ancient Runes and History of magic
The mandrake planter and the teacup are my favorite! I wish the salt and pepper shaker wasn't just a label but cute idea. The magnets are beautifully designed almost too eerily "realistic" to use!

This box felt weak for me. I feel like they could of done better with everything. The tea cup from divination I have seen from other subscription boxes and already in stores. The cat bag was cute but it did not scream transfiguration for me. Care of magical creatures again was cute but could of been better besides the book, hipogrif or thestral (those are everywhere). The mandrake planter was cute and not something I have seen before so I give props for the planter. DADA ravenclaw common room snapshots was funny with Lockhart was funny and imaginative and the pin was cool. Charms needed more representation and so did potions. It was just weak for me.
Just got my box, love the details on the tea cup, the keys are amazing; agree that the shakers didn't seem as high of quality. My only real issue was that my mandrake planter was broken in multiple places. Litjoy is being fantastic and sending me a new one! Love the box, love the company, can't wait for the next one!
The magnets were also my favorite. I didn't like the teacup - despite it being more accurate - since I already have a larger simpler one from Cauldron Crate that I like the design of more. It's probably an uncommon personal preference. The mandrake was also really cute but the bottom pot was missing due to the shortage/shipping issues they were having. They included a really cute mandrake sticker and a letter with a magical art print on it saying they'd mail it as soon as they can and give us points for the delay. While it is just good customer service, it's still very sweet of them, and between this and all the updates they've given us, you can tell how much love and passion they put into these boxes and it really shows.
Loved this box!! The only item i will get no use of and didn't like was the bag but seriously everything else i love and the keys collection are incredible I'm so glad i decided to collect them

This was a neat box. my least favorite would be the cat bag, and my favorite would have to be the magnets. I liked the monster book of monsters box but it is missing one little detail, it is missing the teeth or fangs that hang out on the side of it.
The cat bag would've been my least favorite, but it's now my kitten's new favorite toy. Absolutely agree on the teeth though I love how soft and fluffy it is.
Hey Potter Collector. I looked it up: The Chizpurfle was a type of very small magical parasite. Crab-like in appearance, this beast can grow up to a twentieth of an inch including its fangs. They were attracted to sources of magic and were commonly found in the fur and feathers of Crups and Augureys, respectively.
I was really disappointed in this box, and because of the delay I wasn’t able to see the contents of this one before being charged for the next so I’m stuck paying for another one when I wanted to cancel which feels like poor customer service. I felt like most of the items were cheap and of low quality (monster book falling apart, crooked stickers on salt and pepper shakers, and tiny cat bag). But what really annoyed me is the spelling mistake on the cup because when I contacted them they said it’s not a mistake because it’s spelled on other websites as “grimm”. But this is a HP item and it’s spelled as “grim” in the books so it’s clear they’re just covering their mistake.

The creature "the Grim" has only one "m". I don't know which websites they looked at because every single Harry Potter fandom websites I found on the first page of Google, all spelled it correctly (Grim)
I’ve been waiting for a Potions key!!! I have every key from the Alohomora Collection so definitely need these but especially the potions key bc Severus Snape is my favorite character from HP. But the Qudditch key is absolutely beautiful
Since I am going to the Harry Potter store today , I am using the transfiguration bag today. So excited. I was hoping this item would be a plush but the bag is a useable and practical item that you don’t see a lot in this design.
Thank you for your review of this box. This was my first box and unfortunately I did not love it. I decided to go with Litjoy specifically for their potion bottles so I was extremely disappointed with the salt and pepper shakers🤯. They were a complete miss for me. The teacup looks good from the outside but they spelled "Grim" like the fairy tale writers' last name: "Grimm". I hadn't noticed the first time I watched the video, but now I see it. Another youtuber pointed out that "Grim" is spelled correctly on the spoiler card, but not on the item, which is really weird. I hope for all of the Litjoy's subscribers' sake that they take the time to, I don't know, add people whose job is to double-check items more or communicate better between each other. The fact that the person who made the spoiler sheet spelled it correctly tells me that person wasn't in close contact with the person who misspelled the word on the teacup.
I got this box too! I loved it sm! It sucks there was a shipping delay however they were so good with emailing and everything it was worth it. I loved all of the stuff so much! So so so well made and curated.
What an amazing box! I loved everything in it, especially those creepy but gorgeous Unforgivable Curses magnets! The add-ons were fantastic too, though I wish the Wiseacres candle holder’s moons were different moon phases (like crescent, half moon, three-quarter, full), as that would have been even more magical. While I love the mandrake, I wish there was a ceramic plant that goes in top to match. Hate that I am saying this because the ceramic shortage was a huge pain for litjoy and the subscribers. Not only that, the company had to experience the pots breaking when they came to the warehouse. I love this item and have been waiting to get my own mandrake. The monster book of monsters box is perfect for the coins. Not sure how many can fit yet, but I think it fits all of them so far. Best item of the box: the item everyone wants in their collection: the divination cup and saucer. This has been on my list forever. For people who have other subscription boxes and received similar cups in them may be disappointed, but for those who only have Litjoy, are screaming internally and maybe out loud. Waiting to lay out the salt and pepper shakers at a reasonable time before my mom gets mad or does not notice. There is not a least favorite here.

My fav are the magnets too, really well done like you said. Less favorite is the box for me, just because I would have like a little more details in the design than just the eyes and the name.

Ok add ins. Really want the quidditch key but could not afford it. I got the pin which acts a great before shot for the matching Luna one. I bought the potion key and do not regret it. I could not resist the book sleeve. It is perfect and am glad Ravenclaws are getting some representation: coming from a Hufflepuff: sorry it is not an eagle on there. While I love the carousels, I have no use for them.
My favorite item gotta be those keys they looks so gorgeous i would love to own one of those !! and i know it has nothing to do with Harry Potter but ever since I've seen Lock and key on Netflix I'm never gonna look at key chain the same way i use to.
you won't find them. Lit joy doesn't even have enough to fill their current boxes, most people's boxes arrived without them. Litjoy's shipment of them arrived broken, so they're all backordered now.
I opened my Box yesterday and LOVE the teacup and mandrake pot. The coin is really beautiful and heavy. I am super jealous about the Quiddich key since it's not available on the site to buy now. I am new to getting crates from LitJoy (this is my first) and a new Lunicorn member (amazing perks with that club BTW) so if it was an item that was available months ago I missed the opportunity to get it. I hear that most will not be available again due to the long process it takes to make the keys so I'm thinking they won't sell it again. It's a very cool key, I'm bummed.
The salt and pepper shakers were a definite miss for me. The labels were crooked on mine. Could have been a lot better. But I loved the rest of the box. I actually gasped when I opened the Monster Book box! It is just so darn clever!

I found out (only last year as I hand't noticed it myself) that the reason so much of the merchandise for Ravenclaw use a Raven emblem instead of an Eagle is because they base it off the movies not the actual books... They changed it in the movies to a Raven! =O
I wonder if they ever change the design of the products they have if you have a particular opinion on them, like with the labels on the salt and pepper shakers, because you so often buy their products

No plant could live in that tiny pot. Plants need alot of drainage and airflow

I worked in a factory one summer, and was supposed to take off boxes that had torn or crooked labels. I was fired for taking too many off!!

While I love the mandrake, I wish there was a ceramic plant that goes in top to match. Hate that I am saying this because the ceramic shortage was a huge pain for litjoy and the subscribers. Not only that, the company had to experience the pots breaking when they came to the warehouse. I love this item and have been waiting to get my own mandrake.
The monster book of monsters box is perfect for the coins. Not sure how many can fit yet, but I think it fits all of them so far.
Best item of the box: the item everyone wants in their collection: the divination cup and saucer. This has been on my list forever. For people who have other subscription boxes and received similar cups in them may be disappointed, but for those who only have Litjoy, are screaming internally and maybe out loud.
Waiting to lay out the salt and pepper shakers at a reasonable time before my mom gets mad or does not notice.
There is not a least favorite here.

Though the tea cup and saucer are beautiful it’s an item we had seen many times in subscription boxes, si would have like something else for divination. My fav are the magnets too, really well done like you said. Less favorite is the box for me, just because I would have like a little more details in the design than just the eyes and the name.

This box was a bit meh for me. I think they've done a lot better, I really wouldn't have used or displayed the majority of these items. The magnets were amazing though 😍

Really want the quidditch key but could not afford it. I got the pin which acts a great before shot for the matching Luna one. I bought the potion key and do not regret it.
I could not resist the book sleeve. It is perfect and am glad Ravenclaws are getting some representation: coming from a Hufflepuff: sorry it is not an eagle on there.
While I love the carousels, I have no use for them.

you won't find them. Lit joy doesn't even have enough to fill their current boxes, most people's boxes arrived without them. Litjoy's shipment of them arrived broken, so they're all backordered now.

I opened my Box yesterday and LOVE the teacup and mandrake pot. The coin is really beautiful and heavy. I am super jealous about the Quiddich key since it's not available on the site to buy now. I am new to getting crates from LitJoy (this is my first) and a new Lunicorn member (amazing perks with that club BTW) so if it was an item that was available months ago I missed the opportunity to get it. I hear that most will not be available again due to the long process it takes to make the keys so I'm thinking they won't sell it again. It's a very cool key, I'm bummed.
The astronomy paper/lunacorn info booklet, opens up to an astronomy chart.
The cat bag is great if you live in a country where you use reusable bags at the stores.
The salt and pepper shakers were a definite miss for me. The labels were crooked on mine. Could have been a lot better. But I loved the rest of the box. I actually gasped when I opened the Monster Book box! It is just so darn clever!

I found out (only last year as I hand't noticed it myself) that the reason so much of the merchandise for Ravenclaw use a Raven emblem instead of an Eagle is because they base it off the movies not the actual books... They changed it in the movies to a Raven! =O
I absolutely loved all the items...I wish I had them
I wonder if they ever change the design of the products they have if you have a particular opinion on them, like with the labels on the salt and pepper shakers, because you so often buy their products
