Thank you for sharing vulnerably on a very personal topic for many and creating conversation. I appreciate respectful conversation in this world now. Abortion is such a personal case to case situation. It is a tough topic to navigate.
❤️
Thanks for being brave! I do appreciate listening to this video. I am newly married, so even though I am personally against abortion and realize how bad it is, you always get those tiny bad thoughts that come into your mind, and hearing this helps remind me to dismiss them. You can easily know what is right and wrong, but if you let your fears override what is right, over time it could case you to do things you know is truly wrong.
Absolutely 💯. I think us humans can be talked into the most evil things for the sake of the “greater good” if we’re not careful.
Man does not have a soul and abortion is not murder.
Ain't no murder to kill a fetus.
We will never agree on that statement. (Also, look up what fetus means).
Ain't no murder to kill a fetus cause a fetus ain't no soul.
The Bible does not take a stance on abortion.
The Bible certainly does not condemn abortion as murder.
Those who want to appeal to the Bible to condemn abortion as murder don't have an exegetical leg to stand on.
According to the Mosaic Law concerning personal injury, if a person acting with criminal negligence causes a pregnant female to miscarry, the person is liable for a fine to be paid to the husband of the woman because the fetus is his personal property and not a legal and moral person.
Exodus 21:22 provides that: _"...if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman’s husband will set for him, and he shall pay as the judges decide."_
None of these arguments truly hold though the further you dig into scripture. Just the simple psalm of David gives more clarity to the sanctity of human life. “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Isaiah 49:1” The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name.”
From that exchange it would seem that God views a “fetus” as human life already with a purpose.
The law was created in Moses’ day to create sort of livable conditions, especially in the harsh environment they lived in.
I’d encourage you to dig into the scriptures that show the value of life and not grasp at straws to make murder tolerable.
Please please never go into detail about surgeries. That stuff makes me queasy.
Me too! 😂
@MattLeFaitMusic I have an aunt who likes to watch surgeries, lol. Well. To be fair, when I got my in grown toe nail surgery, I think I watched them. I think I did it because I wanted to make sure they were doing it right. Like that reassurance.
