My thought is that you are not afraid of getting married for no reason. Our models for marriage are our parents' marriage. Marriage is the single most important decision we make. How about making some lists: what are qualities YOU (and not your parents) would want a life partner to have? ex. someone kind, someone with positive attitude. What are qualities that you would not want a life partner to have AND which things would be a deal breaker? ex. domestic violence, a mean mother-in-law etc. I have a long list. What are the qualities that YOU would bring to a life partnership? Also, the more things you have in common with a potential partner the better projection for future happiness. We live in a time when you do not have to make this choice early, even if parents are pushing. I hope you have or are planning to obtain an education or other method of being self-supporting financially. Do your best to avoid being dependent on someone else for livlihood. If you find a career, your choices expand. I could write a book about this topic. My favorite thing to do is pre-marital counseling, where values and beliefs and finances and expectations of marriage are opening discussed before making the major commitment. Fear is projecting a negative outcome and I strongly doubt you have no reason for this concern. If you do find a sweetheart, I hope you'll either find a counselor for pre-marital work OR have sessions together where my list in sentence one of this paragraph are explored together.
