I just started these though the pumping nylon studies, and was very (but pleasantly) surprised to come across this video! Thank you so much for uploading.
Thanks, Bradford! I was excited to see this in my feed today. Some of the fingerings were from, like you said, a smaller scale guitar. I shared this with my friend Todd, who is almost through the 120 right hand studies, figured he could move on to these too! I think I'll pick up a copy of your edition so I can just read TAB and make my life easy and for the modernized fingerings. Thanks for an informative lesson 😎.
Well, as I said, around 95% of the fingerings in my edition are Giuliani's and they are almost hilariously impractical from a legato perspective but they sure do give the player a workout. I'll be recording a few of them as well.
Generally it's always nice to see you . I always wonder if you will make a lesson about concerto aranjuaz full version or at least adagio from concerto de aranjuaz
Maybe, I would need to have an orchestra or pianist to accompany me for the lesson as it would be out of context otherwise. Of course, a lovely piece and very popular.
@@Thisisclassicalguitar I'm working on Gran Vals, but now that you've personally asked, I am going to. This channel is part of the reason I came back to classical guitar after a four month cello hiatus. Thanks, teach.
These are interval studies and I would say you should be at the Grade 4 level minimum but more like Grade 6 so they don't take up too much of your time. If you go slow they are not too difficult but you're reading skills are important too.

Glad it was helpful! I'll be recording some of the studies too.
Fabulous, thanks so much! I play most of them every morning :) some rather slowly!
Fabulous!!! This is the only video I've seen online on these studies. Good to hear how they are supposed to sound.
Ya, I'll also record 'performances' of some of them as well.
Well explained. Love the short segments for those just wanting to quickly get the feel and shapes. 😀
Great to hear!
Just purchased, downloaded and printed...now my left hand will have no excuse! Many thanks!
It's a real workout!
excellent practises. I rarely find scales interesting, but these are.
They are pretty intense, but I've worked through them so much in the past they don't phase me much...although the 10ths do work my hand quite a bit!
Thanks, ordered your latest technique book, and it's really helpful!
Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks a lot for this video! Just what I need to advance my left hand technique.
It's a workout for sure!

My pleasure, you working on these?

Can i use picado techniche?
You could experiment but generally I'd use free stroke here.
I'm playing Allegretto by Mauro Guiliani
Great, enjoy!
Do you have a recommendation for left hand studies for newbies? I looked your wonderful collection of videos but did not find one. Thanks!
You could check out my educational series: www.thisisclassicalguitar.com/sheet-music-for-classical-guitar/
@@Thisisclassicalguitar thanks! I will use some of that to supplement my other studies.
What its the level of the student to practice this scales ??
