Probably not, it's too big a jump for a 17 year old at centre forward unless they have tremendous physical attributes (particularly strength or pace). There are some positions like full back and winger where you might be able to get away with it, but generally centre backs and centre forwards generally need to be a bit more physically developed before getting a chance

Spain mostly had shots outside the box. It’s not effective and wasted opportunities. They had lots of shots, but it was in positions that didn’t trouble England. England looked very comfortable.
You should see the Portuguese keeper's performance against England, that game seemed much more even than the score, that young keeper looks a real prospect!
That first goal... His 2nd touch is some next level...something. The thinking, spur of the moment, the ability, the technique & then actually pulling it off in the match and to strike the ball with that power & precision... I've got a hunch that young man could go on to become a very special player! 15 years time this comment gets highlighted!

Amazing. Now all we need are some decent English managers and coaches so we can actully win something as an adult national team. The standard of English managers over the last thirty, forty years, has been one of the biggest embarrassments in English sport. An absolute disgrace, the more I think about it the more amazingly bad the last three decades have been. The best English manager in that time - Allardyce? Howe? Unbelievably poor standards. Just look at KDB, Foden, Wirtz, Musiala etc. It's those with a footballing brain and top notch reading of the game. I'm sure you can find that on youtube, if you happen not to watch the full matches. You watch one game and make conclusions. Who's to say they aren't both scoring those goals at senior level... you? England can finally compete with the other top nations at youth level. They have been competing for the past 6 or 7 years but with the revamp of the academy system in England and with the influx of top foreign managers at Premier League level, we've seen a huge change in youth football in England. Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal are considered some of the best academies in the world.
There are some top players who are not even playing in these championships like Shea Lacey. The future is bright for England.
