This was great! Pieter Bruegel wouldn't liked the filmmaker Robert Altman. Many of Altman's films had multiple characters who's storylines interweaved. Thank you!
The children whipping the tops reminded me of my childhood. It was still common in the north of Iran before football craze took care of every other game.
Oh yes Bruegel's paintings are endlessly fascinating and I'm thrilled to discover and explore this one with you Carel, thank you so much!! Sending you my very best wishes to you and your family for a Merry Christmas!🙋🏻♀❄☃🎄🎅🏻
One of my favourites. I appreciate the content. I was fortunate enough to see "The world of Bruegel in black and white: from the Collection of the Royal Library of Belgium" while living in Japan back in 2010 and it has forever left an impression on me. I also saw a Durer exhibit depicting the life of the virgin Mary in a series of woodcuts. I was always a fan of woodcuts, engravings and etchings but to see Durer and Bruegel in sequence was fantastic and spawned a lifelong obsession. Can you do a video on woodcuts, engravings and etchings please?
Heel informatief! Bedankt!
I really enjoy the explanation, very interesting. It's like beeing a child and seeing things for the first time.

Love your detailed look at the painting, and the explanations to go along with it. Thank you!

Thank you for your videos, I like them a lot.
A detailed and fascinating description of the painting. Thanks.
I loved the gradual revealing of the story here! Reminds me of the Mill and the Cross.

That is a really good idea. Perhaps one on the developing techniques and another on some of the early masters
