  • After a short trip on Pittsburgh's Red Line on its light rail system including a view inside of the Station Square and Steel Plaza stations, we emerge onto the streets of Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle around the Mellon Green, providing a look at the many skyscrapers, including part of a view on top of the U.S. Steel Building, before peeking back inside another subway station, the Jenkins Arcade, and some of the streets near Market Square. Note the old cars, storefronts, fashions from the people passing by, and even yellow 5th Ave. street sign (they're all white on blue nowadays).

Unbelievable that this was filmed 36 years ago to the day. I’ve never seen anything so old, yet so clear. Where on earth did you find this?

It was on a VHS tape that also happened to include a high school lacrosse game from a school in the Syracuse, NY area. It sure beats those Christmas, birthday, and just "chillin' around the house or park" finds that feel pretty anonymous that most camcorder footage contains.
