Hey! This stream is so wholesome to watch. Samay try putting yourself in her shoes, in her place and then deal with the situation. Maybe that helps. Try to imagine how you would feel if you would be in her place. Also, do you feel bad when she is not able to meet your expectations while you are sad and expect her to be with you? Do you feel bad when she is not able to feel your sadness as much as you expect her to? If yes, it means that understanding of the said feeling/emotion is there but chances are you don't know how to channel it when it comes to you. If you don't feel much being on both sides of the spectrum then there maybe a lack of understanding of that emotion.

A lot of people here have said that you should put yourself in the other person's shoes and try to feel what they feel. In reality, that is not empathy and things that evoke feelings in you may not be the same for another person. To be empathetic, you have to just ask what they are feeling, why they are feeling the way they are and validate or acknowledge their feelings. Once you have done that, you can give them solutions or say things like "Dont worry it will be fine, this is nothing" etc. Even if the situation as per you is small and irrelevant, for that person in that situation it is a big deal and it may take them some time to see the situation as a small issue.
