      Austin Mcdermott Its great! The problem was solved by August 2018. I shoot a box a week and not one problem. I would suggest you do a quick cleaning before you go out. They test fire the guns prior to shipping. so it maybe a tad dirty. I put a Lima Lazer on it. Great addition. Looks cool as well.

You can truly learn anything in the world and one should it’s all I do I don’t even watch movies any more just ask questions. What if I do this to much can I starve an make muscle what If to much oil is on my gun what kinda bullets is best workout for gun handling etc it’s just brilliant you could literally know nothing and in 30 minutes or less doing medical procedures lmao study is the greatness of life .

    An additional step that we are now doing on our P365s, is periodically removing the striker pin for cleaning it and it’s bore. I hope this will stop the like strikers we have been experiencing since we purchased the guns. Headed to the range this next week for testing and will be testing both P365s for like strikes using 6 different manufacturers of ammo. If they continue with the light strikes, these suckers are headed back to Sig.

    Recently bought a new P365. Have put a couple of hundred rounds through it. Trying to trouble shoot 2 issues, both potential with the slide lock/slide release mechanism. 1) a few times while wife is shooting, the slide would not fully close, would stop with about a quarter inch of rear slide hanging over grip. Have to manually close to continue. 2) During cleaning, (reference 19:40 min:sec of your cleaning video) when assembling slide to the frame with frame release down 90 deg, and pulling slide back fully and release, the slide release stays in the down 90 deg position, and slide goes forward past fully close, sometimes completely off frame. Instead, I have to pull slide back partially, instead just enough to use slide lock to return slide release, then release slide for it to stop in the proper closed position. Any ideas what's causing this? Taking it back to the range where I bought it and have gun smith check it out. I contacted Sig and they were slow to get back to me and now have to call again to get them on the phone.

  • @charlestermini179
    @charlestermini179 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice cleaning video, but I do have a question? It appears that you left oil in the bore after assembly? Per the owners manual: 9. Lightly oil bore and chamber if the pistol is to be stored for a period of time.
    10. Always remove any lubricant from the bore prior to firing the pistol
    .
    So, am I missing something?

    • @GearKnowHow
      @GearKnowHow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A little bit leftover is fine, it’ll burn off fast or evaporate before you even hit the range.

    So, I did this on my P365 XL 9mm, but the breakdown toggle won't pop back up when I rack the slide back, so I can't get my upper back on.
    Edit: Nevermind, got it. The slide has to be pulled all the way back, held, and then the slide release has to be pushed up to allow the breakdown lever to snap back up.
    Also, the spring on the XL is the same size all the way across, single spring. The trigger is also straight.

    I use the 2" cotton patches for the bore, but I use T-shirts to wipe all the debris off the gun parts. Instead of using your good T-shirts, I go to a salvation army thrift store and purchase large T-shirts for about 1.00 each and buy a dozen at a times and this way you can just throw them away and it saves using your bore patches.
