My Pom was the joy of my life. She passed on June 30, 2023, she was 17. I plan on getting another one, there are two in shelters that I'm currently inquiring about right now. Mine was more of the "throw back" kind, to the German Spitz family. She was larger and had more of a nose, perking up straight ears, longer hair-type tail, and what I loved mostly about her, is that her hair on her head, back, and tail were more like real hair, not fur. She still required grooming to get the undercoat, but the rest was much easier to groom. She still had that fluff around her chest, but even that was more hair-like. I miss her so badly, can't be replaced, but I can start again.
My Pomerania passed away 5 months ago, and I missed her so much. She was the cutest and most intelligent dog I ever had. I can't stop thinking about her, I miss her so much, she was my partner, my dog daughter. 😢
Just remember your floofer knew she was loved and enjoyed every moment of being with her favorite human. May time heal your heart and who knows, maybe another pom will walk into your life, not to replace her but to help you heal more with tiny borks and kisses
Thumbs up to your tips. My sister and I have been pomeranian owners for decades! So important for poms or any pet to go to routine vet visits, teeth cleaning, etc. Poms are very easy to train. Just give them a ton of love and praise for all their good behavior and they naturally repeat their good behavior. No yelling but a serious "no", removal from the bad and give them good behavior alternatives with big praise. I have had poms when they were puppies to adult poms I rescued from abusive environments. Even the abused snappy ones turn around with plenty of love and it doesn't take long. Poms definitely respond to love. At one point I had 3 poms. Two were rescue poms and one from a puppy. My sister had one. The four poms enjoyed hiking vacations with us. Yes, they love walks and trails so My sister and I do this almost daily with them. Also I have a big fenced in back yard where they all romp around together. I don't find poms hard to care for but of course they are my babies and my priority.
How to solve separation anxiety - get 2 small dogs - I have a Pom & a Chihuahua - they are wonderful happy friends & love playing together. I don’t own a Cage - they can go outside whenever they want - they have a bed in our bedroom & a bed on the lounge (with doggy stairs) ..,happy easy going little Dogs 💕
I love my Pom. He is my best friend and we are always together. He is 15 and do has the tracheal issues that cause breathing and coughing problems. He loves to walk and cuddle. What a joy!
My pom is 5 and he has tracheal issues too especially when he gets excited. I love him so much. He is also my best friend. We go for walks together every day.
We adopted ours between the age of 8 to 12. She has trach issues, but she just had a seizure. 😪 We’ve had her several years. My husband has had a stroke and been in rehab for weeks. I have to leave her a few hours daily. 😢 After research, I plan to cut the antihistamines that she received am & pm for pollen and coughing. Also canceled Nom Nom because they have rice. ❤
Train my pom? LOL! My pom trained me. I got her as a 7 yr. Old because my friends adopted and she hates kids and she would spend hours in my lap when I would visit. Never thought I would own a small dog but I'm glad I have her. So smart, and bossy she makes me stick to a schedule. People laugh when she barks at me when I'm late for bedtime her favorite time.
As for her jumping from things, I got her doggy stairs for the couch and bedroom but she hated them and refused to use them. Now she is 13 and she asked me to pick her up and to set her down. I am well trained.
Same. Took on a 3 year old Pom, after his elderly owner died. He was never socialised, never groomed , panicked just seeing a collar and won’t let me brush him, but doesn’t grumble too much at having his rear end cleaned. Very moody too, his eyes change when he’s inexplicably in a bad mood , but gradually getting better and strongly bonding with me…but only tolerates anyone else reluctantly…and yet, he’s the most affectionate dog I’ve ever had, snuggles into me at every opportunity and a very alert watchdog too, barks a bit too much . Lol. Love him to bits.
@@wideawakerealist2141 from what I understand about poms I got lucky as she barks and growls under her breath just enough to get my attention when she thinks shenanigans are going on. You're right very alert dogs.
@@Jammy_McButzinuisance when mine is in a bad mood, for instance when he’s returning from the groomer ( where apparently he is as good as gold ) he grumbles into my hand, which he loves, bizarrely, put over his face. So I get the whole story of why he’s mad at the world again 🤣
Lol. Most of these tips are common sense. However, the one about not spoiling them, uhhh, well, my Papi is spoiled rotten. However, he doesn't bark unless someone is at the door. He doesn't pee or poop in my house. He tolerates the cats. He loves me unconditionally. So I will continue to spoil him.
My first Pom Windy, was a rescue from a Puppy Mill. She had been almost been bred to death. She had Vet care grooming (shaving all her fur off because she was so matted). When her fur grew back she was beautiful and so very smart. I was a young working single lady and she was my best friend. We went everywhere together even to work meetings if they were after work. They knew I wouldn't come without her and they liked her too. I was a mess when she passed but a few months later a hairdresser I knew had an accidental breeding with her parents dog. Heidi is still with me today at 14 years. Can't really hear but it doesn't matter. She too is my best friend. I would've never thought I'd been lucky enough to have 2 Poms. They are my favorite and turn out to be my best friends.
this is my second pom that i own and i love her to pieces. she knows it. i still miss my first pom and he has been gone four years. this one is four years old . got her after he passed away one month
We just adopted white pom that was surrendered at a shelter and I've been watching videos like this to not make any mistakes. We have purchased all natural foods and I'm starting on his training. As soon as he heals, he'll be visiting the groomers 😁
Good for you for rescuing a Pom!🤗 just like any dog, they all have their likes & dislikes, but just be patient as possible & you’ll both do just fine🫶🥰👍
I'm a proud Pom owner! My Lil besty is boy named Ewok, he's just turned 10 recently, BEST thing that EVER happened to me, Ewok coming into my life....SAVED my life...! I dread the day that his time comes and we have to part... But gosh I treasure EVERY moment with my little mate, I am incredibly blessed & soooo much gratitude for how lucky I have been to have such a wonderful life with my best mate.... Also relevant is the significant amount of trauma & loss experienced ... when my fiancee, only recently egaged to... was killed in horrific car crash, ejected from 4wd and crushed when it rolled several times... Our first child, son was only 6 month's old, Without my Ewok... I am sure I would not be here.... We have such a great connection, can read each other 110%... I've KNOWN something's been up wit Ewok.. every one's convinced I've lost plot... Turns out he's developed a heart murmur .. Very next day found a paralysis tick that only just latched on, and saved his life... I just knew that despite his diagnosis day before...something was wrong call it my "spider senses" were tingling.... Bit if a novel but felt so compelled to share my story about my little mate.... I'm so extremely fortunate to have him... Quality Breeders in Australia are limited... Bless all the "Bomb Pom's" and they're human side kicks...lol Xoxox
I tell people that God called one of his angels to him and said ‘ put on an outrageous orange fur coat and go to earth to keep an eye on this guy ‘ And that’s how I got my Pomeranian My sweet girl !
Our little boy Dexter just joined us and is making us crazy as well as happy. Penny Poo died two years ago and it was time to go find our next Pom. They are amazing dogs and so smart and just plain fun as well as being a pain in the ass
I’m the owner of an exuberant little 4 year old Pom. She’s always busy and loves visiting with people in my apartment complex. She’s a happy little girl and so very spoiled! So glad we have each other!!
I have an 8 yrs old Black & white Pomeranian.I’ve had her since she was 5 months old. I feed her organic dog food & she’s such a good girl, hardly barks 😊.
Wish mine would hardly bark. She's very vocal and her bark is loud, sharp, piercing. She barks at us whenever we just get out of our chairs. Wish I knew your routine and discover where we went wrong.
good video, As a former Pomeranian owner. I'm surprised there is no list (should have been top of the list) of never buzzed cut or cut their hair too short because it'll ruin their natural-second coating.
YES!! So many people have cut their coat super short and it hurts my heart. If you buzz it to short I think it can cause something called leukemia that makes it never grow back.
Agreed! My pom was buzzed (against my will) and developed black skin disease, causing so much hair to never grow back. Thankfully, two years later, and a lot of exercising, has caused his almost all of his hair to grow back!
@@korriplayz1579 Yeah, I'd never known about it while I had a Pomeranian and I just learned about it almost a year ago. Blessfully, never had the ideal to do that while my dog, cocoa was still alive
@@dorasdoublejawsurgeryjourney sorry that happened against your will and talk about a heartbroken moment when noticing those black skin. glad they're almost grown back. Oh! btw, watched your videos, hope everything went well with your surgery
I Love my Pomeranian. He's smart and funny. I can't own a different kind anymore. My first pommie was terrific and when she died, I cried for weeks. We went everywhere together. She was obedient and sweet. I had two with this one at first, but his sister died of heart issues...thankfully Prince is healthy. He even watches television when the family watches a movie. It's hilarious. I never knew a dog to do that.
I own a Pom. He has always been afraid to jump so that’s never been a problem. He won’t climb stairs either. He is the sweetest little animal I’ve ever had. He is extremely intelligent. He will get my attention by punching me with his paw and he has different levels of intensity depending on what he needs.
I have a pomsky and he's afraid to jump up or down from my bed (have to carry him). Just funny because huskies are known to jump but the pom in him is like "no".
My Pom (and Corgi) will not quit from jumping off of things. It drives me crazy. I have little steps that they can walk down (or up) yet both choose to YOLO it whenever they feel like it…
I got a rehomed Pom which is a large size. He doesn't seem as smart as my deceased chihuahua. He is 5 now and 4.25 when I got him and he had never been trained! He barks a lot unlike my last dog. So far I think he is sweet but a heck of a lot of work. If you like to meet people then he is a huge magnet because his markings on his are so fabulous that everyone has to come over and comment.
I RECENTLY LOST MY PRECIOUS POM MERSADIES OF 11YEARS DUE TO DIABETES SHE WAS MY EVERYTHING!! SHE WAS A REGULAR SIZED POM & EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID IS ABSOLUTELY THE TRUTH, KNOW THAT! I'M SUPER GLAD I FOUND THIS SITE!!! I NOW HAVE A TOY POM & SHE IS ALOT DIFFERENT THAN A REGULAR SIZED ONE SO I NEED AS MUCH AS INFO AS I GET! THANK YOU
Thank you for sharing your video with us.🙏❤️ I have a 12 yo. creamy & apricot 8.5 lbs female Pom; her name is Lucy., She loves to sleep a lots; and does not likes outside/exercise. She Hates leash every times I started to put leash on her she’s screams liked someone going kill her😅 She only goes out is for doing potty and she does not like to eats on her own, I have to hand/spoon feed her food and must microwave (warm foods) lol. She is so sensitive and very particular with both foods and peoples. She’s Friendly only you have treats for her. We loved our Pom 🐶❤️🐾
Also, regarding grooming, not good to shave a Pom’s fur. You risk damaging the double coat and it could cause it not to grow back. May not always happen, but a good groomer will tell you that if you request a cut that requires shaving.
Very true - the first time I took my Pom to the beauty salon…, groomer said we don’t shave or cut their coat very short - it damages their coat…he gets the works. Groomer has won many Awards - she Grooms Show Dogs & Family Pets
This explains why my Pomeranian is bald on his rear end and rear legs. When I bought him from an individual I didn't even pay attention to it because he was soooooo sweet and immediately I fell in love with him. Later I texted the lady I bought him from and she told me that someone had shaved him and the fur never grew back. I have not had him groomed because I don't think poms are poms without their beautiful fur. But now he is losing hair in other areas and I've been really concerned about it..I had other poms in the past and never had any issues like this with them
@@sherylgalan4431 He can still be groomed but make sure you tell them scissors only and no buzzing. Maybe a nice scissor trim will help. One of my Poms also has a bald spot on his rear leg area too. When he was a puppy I took him to Petco and specifically told the groomer NOT to shave him and she shaved him. It was his first hair cut! He’s almost 7 years old now and it still hasn’t grown back. That’s ok, we still love him and he certainly doesn’t seem to mind.
@@penelopepitstop762 thanks for the info. Yes I adore my little guy even with his bald spots. He's absolutely the most wonderful and loving dog I've ever known. He's so sweet that I have to keep a close watch on him when I let him go outside because he literally loves everyone. He doesn't meet strangers. He's my best friend. I'm not a people person so he is my companion. Pomeranians are the greatest breed.
@@sherylgalan4431 our Teddy rules the house! We also have a cream colored one who weighs about 15 pounds. He’s a big boy (and his coat is luxurious compared to Teddy, the one with the bald spot), plus a one eyed Chihuahua and a cat! We love them all, but if I am honest, Teddy has the top spot in our hearts. They are all sweet, even the Chihuahua ha ha.
Our rescue pulled Cooper on the Euth list from a Quebec shelter where he had been surrendered at 2 when his 90 yr old owner passed. Never had been groomed. The shelter named him Diablo. We had to have him sedated and shaved. Woke up a happy boy. I can only brush him when he eats. But we can keep him matt free doing this
I have had 3 poms over the years. You don't into specifics regarding "Never pamper your pet", yet the joy of caring for a pom is in a way, well, to pamper them. You brush them, give them treats for good actions, look for chews and items they would like, give them time and affection, etc. You get more back from the attention that you give them
We have a male cream pom. He is the sweetest boy ever. So nice I think another mean dog would hurt him badly. I don't think he would know what to do in a situation like that. We have had him for over seven years and is a big part of our family. What a great, but shedding dog.
Oh my goodness. I'm a Pom owner of 3 of them. I've had Poms for almost 13 years now. They are extremely beautiful and loving. One of them (the boy) hates being left alone. The girls are ok with it. They are a bit older than him. My Poms are independent, but loves being cuddled. They are great pups to have.
I own a Pomeranian she is cute in funny never a doll moment with her I grow up with Pomeranians over the years in I will continue the have them 1 of my favorites breeds
У нашей семьи два кота и маленький Померанский шпиц девочка, которую мы приобрели два года назад! Она рыжея и очень милая! Спасибо за советы, это нам поможет!
I have the best little Pom on Planet earth. She is smart, sweet, well behaved, lovable etc. Bella Rosa is a gift from God. She did get hurt, and I do not know when. She lost her left front leg. She had surgery to repair the damage to her shoulder. The vet sent her home with no pain meds., did not tell me I would need to crate her, and did not answer the emergency line all night. The crate was in the garage, for many years, and it took me hours to clean it. The fact that the emergency line was busy all night, meant they did major orthopedic surgery then abandoned her. Be careful who you take your precious dog to, since if I had read the reviews on this vet, she never would have gone there. She just turned 14, and I am so thankful I have her. I no longer let her sleep in bed with me, since she may have been injured jumping out of my bed. I am heart broken about her injury and how she was treated by a cold, uncaring vet.
My pom is special. He likes being alone ever since I gave him his own bedroom with A.c. and heater, he acts like a teenager; every time I want him to come out and hang with me he will do it for a few minutes then go towards his door to his bedroom waiting for me to open so he can go in and be alone again. But he does follow me around but he's a very independent pom that likes his alone time 😂
Unfortunately I lost my Pom last month after a 3 year battle of diabetes she had. Pomeranian dogs I think are the best dogs to have as they are smart and tend to get a personality
Just remember your floofer knew she was loved, and even on that last day, while it broke your heart, to your pom it was a relief and joy to see, hear and smell her favorite human. May time heal your heart and maybe you will find a place for a new floofer. Not to replace this one, but to fill your heart with borks and tiny kisses
to be COMPLETELY honest these literally always have and will be COMPLETELY USEFUL tips and i did do and/or probably will SOMEWHAT like large dogs and cats and i did do and will really really LOVE pomeranians
I watched this video few months ago, I was just bought a 5mo minipom, then I teach him to lean on stomach, slide down hind legs if step down from rather high stairs or chair. You're right, his legs are very thin, alot smaller than toy poodle. Give him bone with meat and fat on it. His teeth always clean and his gum looks red healthy, bonus he built firm muscular and didn't eat much dry food. Omega 3 fish oil for fur and eyes. Never sick but cough, the vet said allergy to cold or dust. Thank you.
My Pom girl is called Sassy. Five years old in a few days. She’s a foxy throwback at 5.5 kg, loves everyone, is so entertaining and clever, and a great watchdog. Specialises in scaring off large birds and squirrels from the patio. She recently alerted us to rats who’d just moved into our water treatment housing box outside. Her life is less exciting now they’ve been exterminated!
Mine was always scared to jump from anything even if it wasn't that high. I was super grateful because the one my mom got before I was born would jump off anything and developed hip problems once he got older. He was usually great about grooming, tolerated baths really well, nail clippings, and would just sit there and let me brush his teeth. He hated having his coat being brushed, but I'd always have to just tell him he HAD to be brushed because he was a Pomeranian. Lol. He was definitely spoiled though and had US trained and we catered to his every whim, but I didn't mind. I miss him, he was best boy.
I had a cream pomeranian and he was the best, he followed me every room I went to, went shopping with me ect...he had jumped down off the couch ,even had his stairs right next to him, long story short had surgery on his knee ,after that months of me carrying him to ear, potty ect. Then when he was better he was back to normal, but then he ended up having pancreatitis bout all the time, broke my heart, think it was cause of the surgery and all the pretazone he had been on over the years. Anyway I Lost him at the age of 16 years and 7 months bad battle with pancreatitis that couldn't be resolved ect...He passed away on 6/13/22 ..Part of me died with him! I miss that furr-baby so much, My house is not a home without him, my heart is not whole without him 💔 Debating if it's too soon for another!!?? Or maybe I shouldn't get another pom for quite a while
I've had 3 Pomeranians. My first 2 didn't jump. But the one I have now loves to jump. He jumps from sofa to chair at home. On car rides he jumps from front seat to back all the time
@@susantate8406 I'm so so sorry for your huge loss, I hope you feel a lil bit better with time 🥺. Mine is almost 3yrs old and she's my everything, I'm terrified to lose her since I got her. I think about that often, if I would get one right away and then I say I don't want to go through a loss again. But I think you should get one if you feel ready to do so, won't take your pain away but definitely will help you in the process! Blessings to you and your family 🙏
I have mixed feelings about getting another Pom or just another dog in general. Tbh even if you go through a reputable breeder, there's a good chance they'll end up with a lot of health issues. Mine passed from a brain tumor at 15. There was no specific cause other than it's common on small breeds, but there was also absolutely no cure and led to him having epilepsy that slowly got more and more severe to the point where we had to say goodbye. He also had the collapsing trachea issue that is very common with Poms. He was the best dog, and I wouldn't trade my time with him for anything in the world and I miss him every day, but the thought of going through that again just kills me. I'm not even sure that I could even get attached to another animal like I did with him, but then again it hasn't even been a year since I lost him and maybe it's just too soon for me. Even though he was technically my dog, the whole family absolutely adored him, and a couple family members who didn't even have dogs before actually got similar breeds from the Spitz family, because they missed him so much. I took him just about everywhere with me until he got too old.
@@susantate8406 I had my pom from when he was a baby, I lost him on 21st January 2020-he was only 3 years old turning 4 that February. He had regular vet visits and he had no health issues, he was so healthy, always out on walks with me (not too long as poms are only small dogs), and had a good diet. He was exactly like yours, he followed me everywhere, he didn't like anyone in the household aside from me, haha! He was always shopping with me, slept with me, everything I did, he came with me. etc etc, the list goes on. Anyway, I never found out what happened to him. The day he died, he was his normal self, running around, barking for treats, cuddles etc, but it just cost too much money to find out what happened and I couldn't afford it, which is now my biggest regret. Like you said, apart of me has died with him, every day, and I mean everyday, I think of how much I miss him and how many things he has missed, which he would have loved if he was still here. I want another Pomeranian like nobody would understand, but I don't want to replace him and i'm in fear of buying another pom and it just be a completely different dog. I've never really understood the meaning of a dog being your best friend until I had mine, he well and truly was.
Are they good at getting along with each other? I currently have 1 male pom but I am finding myself needing to work from the office more often now and I dont feel comfortable leaving him by himself. I was thinking of getting him a friend, but I've heard male dogs tend to not get along and I don't particilarly want to get a female since I do not want puppies.
Omg!!! I wish I had seen this video 12 years ago when I adopted Milo. I found in a dog pound 11 years ago. He was 6 months old. I've done everything right except the one about not spoiling him. I've spoiled him from day one. I couldn't help it he's so darn cute. My dental care was not the greatest, he's had a cleaning a n d now I brush his teeth often and I put the dental additive in his water. Milo changed my life all fir the better. I may not have the best behaved dog but I can't imagine life without him. I consider myself so lucky to have him in my life🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
My Pom is 11 months old. Her name is Rosie. She is my 2nd Pom. My first Pom was Gracie. She was 17 years old when she went to the rainbow bridge. I still miss her so much. Rosie is part blue Merle and part tan. She has a different personality than my first Pom. I am glad for that but I do wish she wasn’t so stubborn and vocal, but I do love her. My other Pom was quiet and not stubborn. She was loved by everyone. Rosie is loved by everyone that sees her. They want to know where we got her. What is the best food for an adult Pomeranian? Mine is 5 years old and currently on Hills. I’ve heard it’s not good and unhealthy and my dog doesn’t really like it either and has problems with his coat. Is Wellness Core or Orijen good for him? What do you think the best food and healthy is for an adult pomeranian? (5yrs old)
I live in England and have fed my 5yo Sassy on since I got her at 12 weeks (and her breeder weaned the whole litter onto a similar raw food brand). It comes in 1-kilo (2.2 lb) bags of frozen cubes, 80% raw meat/fish and 20% fruit/veg. Many varieties: beef, lamb, rabbit, venison, chicken, salmon, goose, etc. The meat is fit for human consumption, not the usual low pet standard which comes from animals that are diseased or have tumours. The cubes make portions precise and easy to adjust to manage weight. The daily amount is based on the ideal weight for your individual dog, divided into 2 meals morning and night. Customer Service is happy to advise. Sassy likes to gnaw hers in the frozen state, taking them away from her dish one at a time. Raw food like this is supposed to be better for the teeth as well, containing no form of grain at all. Dogs drink less water from the bowl as the raw food contains a lot naturally. Maybe you have a similar product where you live.
The name of the frozen raw food I described in my first email, below, was deleted perhaps because I highlighted it in bold type. It’s called Nature’s Menu. I hope you can find something similar.

I just got my pom she so cute but very spoiled I need to stop
Me too And love every minute of it and I will always will ❤️😍
As for her jumping from things, I got her doggy stairs for the couch and bedroom but she hated them and refused to use them.
He sounds absolutely adorable!❤️
Pomeranian is my favorite breed. I have had many over the years. Some are in heaven now. So much love they give to me. God's Love 🙏
❤ I've had 3 Poms and will soon be hopefully finding my fourth... luv them !
this is my second pom that i own and i love her to pieces. she knows it. i still miss my first pom and he has been gone four years. this one is four years old . got her after he passed away one month
We just adopted white pom that was surrendered at a shelter and I've been watching videos like this to not make any mistakes. We have purchased all natural foods and I'm starting on his training. As soon as he heals, he'll be visiting the groomers 😁
Aww what happened to him?
Mine is white as well. For some reason the white ones are sassier, more comical, just more . Love mine.
@@penelopepitstop762 OH he was just fixed so he had to heal. But after the grooming we did noticed he had scars.

Turns out he's developed a heart murmur ..
Very next day found a paralysis tick that only just latched on, and saved his life...
I just knew that despite his diagnosis day before...something was wrong call it my "spider senses" were tingling....

good video, As a former Pomeranian owner.

I have never known a pom to not love jumping but I hear there are some. I have bred poms for 29+ years 😊
My Pom (and Corgi) will not quit from jumping off of things. It drives me crazy. I have little steps that they can walk down (or up) yet both choose to YOLO it whenever they feel like it…
Train them to use it. Using treat motivation will work best.
Kick em in the ass . They'll fly off the steps
So let ten have fun!

My Pom Candy Cane just turned 16 on Christmas day. She has been the best companion.
Not an owner yet. Soon to be. Love these dogs. They are too cute. Thnx for the tips.

I have a 12 yo. creamy & apricot 8.5 lbs female Pom; her name is Lucy., She loves to sleep a lots; and does not likes outside/exercise.
She Hates leash every times I started to put leash on her she’s screams liked someone going kill her😅
She only goes out is for doing potty and she does not like to eats on her own, I have to hand/spoon feed her food and must microwave (warm foods) lol.
You don't into specifics regarding "Never
pamper your pet", yet the joy of caring for a pom is in a way, well, to
pamper them. You brush them, give them treats for good actions, look for
chews and items they would like, give them time and affection, etc. You get
more back from the attention that you give them
Is it good to yell at pom puppy like screaming "no!!!!" in hard tone when they try to eat unwanted things or do any thing wrong
I have a Pomeranian boy, he is over 14yrs old now, i love him sooooo much and I cherish every single I have with him now.

I think they are the most beautiful and smart dog breeds.
Pomeranian dogs I think are the best dogs to have as they are smart and tend to get a personality
same happened to me!
Thank you.
I have a 4 year old Pom girl and she is the sweetest little thing . She is so loving and SO sassy ❤
I just got a pom...2 months old...a little naughty bundle! Trying to train him as best as I can!
I miss that furr-baby so much, My house is not a home without him, my heart is not whole without him 💔
Debating if it's too soon for another!!?? Or maybe I shouldn't get another pom for quite a while
I've had 3 Pomeranians. My first 2 didn't jump. But the one I have now loves to jump. He jumps from sofa to chair at home. On car rides he jumps from front seat to back all the time
@@susantate8406 I'm so so sorry for your huge loss, I hope you feel a lil bit better with time 🥺. Mine is almost 3yrs old and she's my everything, I'm terrified to lose her since I got her.

I have a 6 year old tri color pom. Too smart for me . I only leave home we hen it's too hot n humid outside . Especially from so florida
My Pom definitely hates when I yelled and knows when I am upset and would shy away until I am much calmed!
15 years of Pom experience, love my boy but, some things that has been challenging, believe he feels entitled, barks none stop if I don't redirect,
was told that the sprits breed is the closet to the wolf so shows independentce and obeys when he wants, my boy obeds when its suits him love him to bits but would never get another, he has been super hard work
I don’t really have a Pom I have a sausage dog, but I’ll get one soon so thanks for the information
After reading the posts here, I am going to have my chihuahua checked genetically. Her fur is thicker than normally most long haired chis and her character is totally different. She is DA big boss! Never had a chi like this which is why I am beginning to wonder if she might be a pomchi
New pombestie from Norway
Would love one, but sadly don't have the time to properly take care of one. :(
Yes regarding excercise for poms! All my poms always love their walks and if I don't walk them twice s day they get VERY hyper and antsy.
We care for our Pom as if she is a baby , she gets the best of care and regular visits to the vet and monthly trips to groomer. We love in the mountains and have adequate space for Ruby to run and be active, she is simply our youngest child. Affection is never spared. I am likely very guilty of spoiling her.
I had Pomeranians and they never had a separation anxiety and I pamper them and they never get spoiled
I've got a Pomajack and he's great fun and absolutely loves to swim so he goes swimming every day in the sea where I live in the UK. He's more Jack Russell han a Pom but is very fluffy and adorable to women. He's a god chat up excuse lol thanks Charlie.
Yes I have a Wolf Sable Pom. She is my mental support.
My sweet 4 month old simba is the owner of my house 😂 adorable, smart, jealous and so on... Can't finish his characteristic feature list.. I think all pom parents already knew it very well... And he hates my cell phone so much

More than 8 hours is too long.
As a new pom owner (she’s 7 yrs) I need advice on how to stop her from peeing inside even though she goes outside every 3 hours 🫤. Please help. I bought fake grass for indoors thing her previous owner said she used , she has no interest in using it . What can I do ?!?
Mine is fun, wild, sassy and very lovable. ❤
My mini fox pom loves care rides, hiking, swimming with life jacket and me holding leesh , playing chase for his the toy( he runs while I try to get his toy) and now sleeps on my bed ( after 16 yr old cat passed away)

Ive recently been able to groom as had (I was a pet groomer) and no one near, nor shops. I need to work with her on sink bath in meantime can I use waterless shampoo, blow dryer to fluff then trim up? thank you for your time. oh she does see veterinarian regularly.
My pom was a rescue and became my best buddy. She was just turning 4yrs old on my wife's birthday. My little buddy left this w

. We really loved that little girl. She lived a good life and was 14 when she died a natural death at my feet. A wonderful lovable companion and buddy. Miss her greatly.
We have a miniature pom and she is a handful.
Good luck having a Pom and not pampering it... they're adorable real life Teddy bears 😍
My Pomapoo is 1 years old today 🎉
