    I've had the MC for about 2 years now and I love it. But today, an early Christmas gift to myself, I got the Tech MCT. Loaded it out, and I love it even more than the MC. I can fit my 12 inch channellocks and my tape measure. Veto makes the best bags for the professional hands down.

    • @scrambler350

      It's HARD to keep talking myself out of it.
      ...but, I think I'm gonna hold off till they make a Hi-Viz one.
      Wish the Tech MCT had that clear stuff like the parts bags inside the flap of the bag like the Tech Packs, that would be perfect for jumper wires and the lil popper..or maybe get ride of the little bit pockets up at the top were one larger pocket wit the elestic..another spot to stash jumpers.
      Thanks for watching!

    great video even if its from a couple years ago. i got into property maintenance about a year ago and got into the HVAC aspect of the job as well. i am learning something new every day. My coworker is alot younger than i am but has been doing HVAC for about 13 years. i like the fact that you care about the next guy by making notes in the units about repairs and using different colored tape. its little things that make the job easier for the next person. i work in central Texas and i know too well about the lizards and insects in the units.
    when i fist watched this video, i made some yellow jacket gauges with the stubby connectors on them. i use them alot. i am finding that it seems that the biggest majority of A/C issues are electrical.
    keep up the great videos

      The Stubby gauges are great for troubleshooting and maint. checks.
      Check out my video on my TP4 - that's what I use 90% of the time now and it's only 15lbs instead of 30lbs.
      Can do common stuff like contactors, caps, fan motors, and other electrical repairs with just that.

      @@scrambler350 hey man , thanks for sharing .
      Could you point to where I can get a set of them stubby gauges ? I'm in EU so it might not be the same distributors, but with the brand name and stuff , maybe I can find one that carries them . Cheers !

    Nice Voice and a turn of phrase. Assuming its a southern accent ( I'm not a fruit cake, I'm from the UK) I have the same bag but with self made mods mainly on the inner flaps, I'm also big on Klein Wiha Knipex and Bosch hand tools. Retired now but I learnt the discipline of a well organised tool bag and vehicle working for many years for ADT being called out at 4am on security and cctv equipment. Enjoyed your video and no Chinese crap in there (I did think Wiha were Chinese at first like a twat ) Thanks again.

      Been running it like that for about a year now - threw the meter bag on the side and added the 'goodie box' shortly after I made the last video when my first summer really heated-up(literally and figuratively) - went home each day and moved stuff around till I got things right where they worked the best for me and moved stuff I didn't use as much to the OT-XXL or the Milwaukee box.

    To prevent lock outside of the van just use a lock box over the handle or screwed into something on the outside /under the van that requires a code to open.

    I had a veto mc the first veto bag I ever bought from a suppliers house . It was the perfect little service bag it fits a crazy amount of tools and you can find a crazy amount of ways of attaching things on the out side of the bag.the reason I don't have it now is I hooked up my coworker with the mc . Now I just think how do I get it back Lol. For sure probably my favorite bag of all time.

    Buy yourself a Fieldpiece Digital DM model! It does it all at and one time! Techs who take short steps pay later! Another thing is Why would you use an impact driver vs a chuck model? How to you set you clutch level?

    meebo makes a head light exactly like that but rechargeable. also Milwaukee makes some good small area portable rechargable lights. fit in your pocket, with magnets to attach to metal so you can free up your hands.

    • @scrambler350

      I have 3 sets now, made two more pair with YJ gauges.
      One with the regular 22/410/404 gauges and another with 134/404/407.
      I don't use those 'low loss' fittings anymore after I had one blow out on me; I go with the 45 degree ball valve fittings now - p/n 93842.
      The Yellow Jacket couplers are p/n 19110 to go from the gauge to flare fitting.
      They sell an assembly as well, but they come with a short hose - not a ball valve.
      I like the ball valve because you can just shut it off and hook up your hoses on your manifold or add a tee or whatever if you want to adjust the charge.

    This is my favorite loadout vid because it reminds me so much of my own that I run in my tech MCT. Some of the same tools, Stub gauges, etc. I could probably pick your bag up and use it without thinking too much about where it is because everything about it makes sense. You see tools like that and you know you and that tech have been through all the same shit together 😂

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right on!
      Yeah, got an MCT back in February myself - dunno if I like it as much as my old MC, but it gets used a little less than my MC did...went to a TP3 for diagnostic and usually grab that first unless I KNOW I'm there to make a repair or going up on a roof.
      Do you use your stuff gauges to charge as well?
      If so, what fitting do you find works the best - I usually just pull them off and throw the SMAN on there if I'm on a 410a system.

    • @kingjams4372
      @kingjams4372 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      mike_HVAC haha I’m telling you man, I run the same stuff as you. I run a TP3B when I’m doing simple stuff or residential calls, and I charge with my SMAN when I see a low charge on my stubbies and I have to go get the refrigerant anyways. I definitely saw some good stuff in here that could improve my set up so thanks for that 😎

    I ordered myself a fieldpiece 440 also. I live in the Netherlands so it was pretty expensive. But a Fluke 902 is more expensive still. On the screwdriver with the slot for spade connectors, how wide should the slot be? I like the idea but don’t want to ruin three screwdrivers before getting it right 😂

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      One cut with a thin Dremel wheel IIRC.
      That screwdriver is currently locked-up in my work van..so can't really say if it's 1mm or 2mm or what...probably just start at the same size as the blade on the capacitor and then remove a little bit...that's probably what I did, don't remember.
      Recommend doing it on a longer driver as well so you can get in deeper and have more leverage - also doubles as a tool to check if fan blades are spinning freely - due to it being a longer/thinner driver.
      I use the 440 every day at work and the FLUKE occasionally - once you have that magnetic strap you immediately miss NOT having it on every other meter you use.
      Broke-out in the chemical plants with FLUKE - it's great stuff, but the Fieldpiece is a little more suited to HVAC. I love having the dual read-out to check Amps and Volts at the same time when troubleshooting heat kits.

      Definitely looks good; I see them doing that with their most popular models, a smart move from a company based out of the North East to appeal to guys in the South and the Midwest. Personally, I dig the muted black, grey and brown look. If given a choice i'd probably ask VETO for something like *_Klein's_* _Hi-Viz_ line with the neon yellow and reflective color scheme - for my 'perfect MC'.

    Don't etch nice tools! It's ugly, destroys their retail valve, and takes off the chromium finish so it can possibly start rusting. If you MUST mark your tools, use a sharpie or a dab/shot of paint.
