Same here XD I had an opportunity to get it but I ended up getting Ready Player One instead (If you're a nerd and you havent read it then you MUST it's so good)
+DeathCreationist a game about what? The book makes clear a game would be way to linear to be an AC game, maybe a chronicles game, nothing else. Besides, it's a good book, so just read it
the feels....when he reads that excerpt from Forsaken.... hhhhhhhhhnnnnggg QnQ I just want to hug him. and Haytham.... especially Haytham... because he needs a hug.
I actually wanted him to talk about the time they all went out drinking, drunk Haytham "I Love you guys, your great" lmfao. Also, "Connor, I am your father" classic lmao moment. 42:17 - 43:27
Adrian Hough is a wonderful actor, I met him just this past November. He is like he is here, very wise and very kind. Definitely one of my all time favorite actors, I have a lot of respect for him. Loomer you did an awesome job on this interview! He clearly enjoyed speaking with all of you
Haytham Kenway IS THE BEST! He is such a handsome character, and the way he speaks in a british accent *w* FASCINATING! And kinda mesmerizing too. By the way, does anyone know, who is the prototype of Haytham's face? I mean they could't have drawn his whole face, or could they?
I could listen to his voice for days. Such a wonderful interview, thank you Loomer. It's great to see that he has such a love for a character whom, I believe, could have been used _way_ more in AC III, and perhaps the game would have been better if the story was about him. And the reading of the passage from the book, pure, utter awesomeness.
Adrian Hough has an amazing voice! I have played almost all AC games and Haytham Kenway is my favourite AC character by far and that is in main part because of Mr. Hough's amazing performance...
I think what is great about Haytham, is that is so natural and real. This is because, as Adrian mentioned, he is so complicated and full of discrepancy. We are not simple and ideal, so this is great to play the hero we can identify with. I hope to see his story to be told from the beginning up to the end, as without it, this is hard to understand some of his decision in the second part of AS3. Thank you Adrian for your hard work to make this character so unique and unforgettable.
yo-yo liu Actually, it takes place before/inside the AC3 timeline, but the game was released after so I can see how you got confused. Rogue is one of my favourites in the series, I was just being a dick because no one knows how to spell "Rogue"
I love this Podcast, I love Adrian and I love Haytham so much! He's one of my Top 3 most favourite characters, together with Shay and Ezio, and they couldn't have found any better voice actor than Adrian!
I was so mad when Haytham didn't kill Lee and Washington with his bare hands and drag Connor off and leave the templars all together when he found out about Ziio's death...
so i started to replay ac3 but then stop to google haytham and found this, listen to it and then went back to playing the game. now the part i was at was the theater at the very beginning, he stands up start starts walking to the left and says "A thousand apologies" i start lmao ^_^
It's a shame that the greatest AC character of all time still doesn't have his own game! I don't care if the rehash shit either. It would still be different bc it would be from Haytham's perspective.
I can't really imagine Adrian being a mime, he's so lively in this interview, he sounds like an excited puppy! I hope he takes home the BAFTA award, he deserves it!
1:05:54 That's what I wanted in the game so bad!!! He is a character deserving his own game... You'll be missed Haytham, and Thanks to Adrian Hough who brought Haytham to life.
Haytham is by far one of my favorite characters in the entire series by far. I love how complicated the character is and when I fully read the book, I think it was the icing on the cake for me. When you read the book and find out what really happened to cause Haytham to be the way he is was just mind blowing. It really rounded out Haytham as a character. Adrian's performance just added to it. Also I just finished playing Syndicate which you get to enter the Kenway mansion as one of the missions. I really loved the fact that you get to see the childhood home of Haytham and learn all the ins and outs of some of what is portrayed in the game and in the book. Kudos to whoever thought of adding that into a future game, but I love it. Haytham will go down as one of my all time favorite AC characters as well as video game characters.
Deroni76 So I always thought this was funny too but I just recently heard the real story behind her name and it's really interesting (to me anyway). Adrian in this podcast is in fact saying the actress's name correctly as "Dio". Of course, the actress has the same Mohawk name as her character, "Kaniehtí:io" so why in the game does she say it's pronounced "Ziio"? Turns out they went through a couple iterations of the character's name, including one where the shortened version was pronounced "Ziio", but for the final game ended up settling on her real name. So the game's audio is basically mismatched from an earlier take with what they ended up adopting as her canonical final name on paper. Tiio Horn (the actress) told this story at one of the 3 SacAnime panels last year... 2 of them are on my channel and the 3rd is somewhere else on TH-cam (sorry, I forget exactly which one the story is in).
Haytham, one of the most engrossing characters. Can't tell if it's his voice, or his execution that perfectly was delivered upon his character.....I'd say Both. 10/10
Thank you for answering my questions Mr. Hough at 7:20 and 45:14! As for the podcast members, I appreciate taking the time to ask them for me in my stead. :) Great job on this interview!
Ahh.. My fangirl side is raging right now! Haytham was such a great Character! Thank you Adrian fro bringing him back to life! He really is a great actor! Thank you guys for this pod cast!
I was one of those people before they had Connor on here. That episode changed how I took the whole game. We are taking the story, the writing, from the point of view of someone who lost their childhood innocence very early. The way Connor was is how everyone who lived that life would be. The script was good, very good. People just forget how much is going on in that 8-10 hour experience. And that sucks a lot.
Thank you so much for doing this interview; for doing all of these and taking the time and sharing this! I was really looking forward to it and I had such a great time. I even got goosebumps... really awesome... also very funny...so much info and all those great readings and lines... really touching... made me have mixed feelings all over again. :') Really appreciate it.
This was amazing. Thanks so much guys...I look forward to the next podcast! Also, If I may, I'd like to suggest Fight Club for the podcast ending theme next time. It's just more up-beat and celebratory =P
I have been actually listening this for a whole hour and listening to Adrian and thinking how would it look like if Haytham was actually saying that lmao x)
I really love this videogame series since the beginning with Altair. And playing my way through out the entire stories from AC to ACIII I have discovered that the psychology of the games have become mostly over powering... As if the characters have actually come alive infront of you. With Ezio we experienced how far he came since his first appearence in ACII. I personally love Adrain Hough's portrayal of Haytham was especially real. I really loved this character... And Connor too :3 good game.
Can Forsaken become an Audio Book with Adrian reading it, that would be brill!
Brandolor1 OMG yeah we need this XD It'd be awesome!
The feels would essentially become real :P and we all know how masochistic we are with feels! We always come back for more XD
I know right! haha XD I've only read little bits of the book, I need to read it properly but yeah no sooo maaannyy feells xD
I will get around to reading it fully eventually :)
Same here XD I had an opportunity to get it but I ended up getting Ready Player One instead (If you're a nerd and you havent read it then you MUST it's so good)
Connor "Why me?"
Haytham "Because I said so, now go!!!"
Hahahaha, best line from Haytham~
He's known his son five minutes and already bossing him around.
Wentao Feng Classic parent excuse!
Because no one else will!!!!
I loved Haytham as a character, and Adrian Hough's talents were the icing on that cake.
"My hat is a taco."
Adrian is so awesome.
I want a Haytham Game.
Just read the book, a game would be pointless
Gracjan Idziaszek if there's a book, then there can be a game.
+DeathCreationist a game about what? The book makes clear a game would be way to linear to be an AC game, maybe a chronicles game, nothing else. Besides, it's a good book, so just read it
yes
The Manhunter knsony
My god, Haythams voice makes me all of a fluster... **fans face**
NobleAni Same.
*My heart melts when I hear Haytham Kenway's voice, OMG... OMG* 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
@@EKrieger i know, his voice is so manly!
seriously the sexiest voice in Assassin's creed 3 lol
+TheQtipp I think in whole AC series. ;-)
connor's was pretty sexy too
Let's face it, they were all at least a little sexy.
Beezeecade yes
The best is Edward Kenway.
He must have been jumping for joy when he heard about returning as Haytham in AC Rogue :D
"Let's not go there that's tumblr world" Best line ever!
the feels....when he reads that excerpt from Forsaken.... hhhhhhhhhnnnnggg QnQ I just want to hug him. and Haytham.... especially Haytham... because he needs a hug.
I would hug haytham tooo
I actually wanted him to talk about the time they all went out drinking, drunk Haytham "I Love you guys, your great" lmfao. Also, "Connor, I am your father" classic lmao moment. 42:17 - 43:27
Haytham is easily my favourite character in the whole series. May the father of understanding guide us!
May the father of understanding guide us!
i'm rogue my brother.
+A Disappointed Horse May the father of understanding guide us.
1:05:55 Haytham's last journal.... Here's the proof that Haytham actually loved Connor😢
Adrian Hough is a wonderful actor, I met him just this past November. He is like he is here, very wise and very kind. Definitely one of my all time favorite actors, I have a lot of respect for him. Loomer you did an awesome job on this interview! He clearly enjoyed speaking with all of you
How did you meet him? I'm quite jealous!
I met him at youmacon, he does go to some conventions and I recommend if you get a chance do meet him. He's an amazing person.
+Amber Surratt Ah okay, thank you for the information!
No problem, he's recently been in a movie called Re-Assignment and he appears in two episodes of Aftermath on sy-fy (premieres on the 20th).
+Amber Surratt Again, thanks for the information, it's highly appreciated :) have a good rest of your day, friend.
Honestly, I think this is one of my favourite Assassins Den podcast ever, equally as good as Roger Craig Smiths. Adrian Hough is awesome.
Adrian Hough looks pretty much like Haytham
Matthew Nameful Yeah, pretty much, but still not the same face
Yeah, they make some changes. They take photos of the actors from all possible angles and their face is rendered in a 3D program. It's awesome.
Matthew Nameful yes, however i didn't find any confirmation that Adrian Hough is the prototype.
Actually nothing hinted at Haytham having one
I'm in love with him too!
Lol, when Adrian found out about Haytham coming back in Rouge he was probally jumping up and down.
I could listen to him for hours. I love his voice so much.
Adrian Hough has an amazing voice! I have played almost all AC games and Haytham Kenway is my favourite AC character by far and that is in main part because of Mr. Hough's amazing performance...
I completely agree...
*SPOILER ALERT*
......oh, Adrian, only if he knew he will be in AC: Rogue :)
I know right
"diio" "ziio" "tiio"
I think what is great about Haytham, is that is so natural and real. This is because, as Adrian mentioned, he is so complicated and full of discrepancy. We are not simple and ideal, so this is great to play the hero we can identify with. I hope to see his story to be told from the beginning up to the end, as without it, this is hard to understand some of his decision in the second part of AS3. Thank you Adrian for your hard work to make this character so unique and unforgettable.
Get him on again. Ask him about Rouge
What's "Rouge"?
+Restless Entertainment assassin's Creed rogue. it's taken place after ac3. haythem was in it too
yo-yo liu Actually, it takes place before/inside the AC3 timeline, but the game was released after so I can see how you got confused.
Rogue is one of my favourites in the series, I was just being a dick because no one knows how to spell "Rogue"
+Restless Entertainment no biggie. sometimes I don't do spell check
56:27 this was too funny 😂 loved this podcast and i feel like i love Haytham even more now
I love you to Elise
Haytham Kenway I never thought I'd finally talk to you! Are you making progress with killing your son?
Inge - i soon will
TheAnda0 thank you
I think to hear him reading that part from 'AC Forsaken' just made me cry :,,-( ...
1:04:53 "Sigh...my hat is a taco."
His voice so amazing,I'm so really enjoy with his voice
& I really want Forsaken novel audio read by Adrian \m/
I thought Haytham was cool before, but this just made him even better!
Aurora Darklund, Charles Lee has nothing to do with attack that George Washington performed.
Though it's for the historical accuracy as well. Cuz Charles Lee really do exist
so i started to replay ac3 but then stop to google haytham and found this, listen to it and then went back to playing the game. now the part i was at was the theater at the very beginning, he stands up start starts walking to the left and says "A thousand apologies" i start lmao ^_^
adrian says "diio" and "ziio" and then also "tiio" (41:31) at one point and im thinking it wasnt just haytham that couldnt pronounce her name
pacebellum dio is the actresses name
Tiio is her real name
Even when you know he is the guy who portrays the character, you still say "Damn, he really sounds like Haytham!"
43:30 I need a continuation of that
As a lady who loved Haytham's voice I'm very happy to know I wasn't alone! 😂😂😂
Gosh darn Adrian is awesome. He's so humble and genuine.
Since I have played the game at that time in 2012, I am inspired by Haytham. Not only the voice also the created character is fantastic
Templar creed spin off game about haytham.
Assassins creed rouge 2 confirmed!
YoungGamer i want to believe.
The Templars don't have a creed
we will make them have one
SNIP3RARROW117 How about, "Templar Order"
It's a shame that the greatest AC character of all time still doesn't have his own game! I don't care if the rehash shit either. It would still be different bc it would be from Haytham's perspective.
Haytham Kenway's fighting style is very cool. love his sword moves.
I wish Ubisoft will make a DLC for AC3 called "Haytham's Memories"
I can't really imagine Adrian being a mime, he's so lively in this interview, he sounds like an excited puppy! I hope he takes home the BAFTA award, he deserves it!
I want him to narrate my life
HOLY SHIT HE'S NOT BRITISH!!!
Canadian I think
That's what I was thinking!!!! I honestly thought he was! I am English and I couldn't tell!
Yeah. Lmao. Ikr.
Had the most convincing posh English accent ever!!
Lol. I feel that it was really haytham. Btw,he is a nice character . :D
"My hat is a taco." Lol
1:05:54 That's what I wanted in the game so bad!!!
He is a character deserving his own game...
You'll be missed Haytham, and Thanks to Adrian Hough who brought Haytham to life.
Guess he had lots of fun with Rouge then! :D
Adrian Hough is an amazing actor, I got chills as he was reading that little bit part of the Forsaken novel.
i had goosebumps when he recited the quotes
the audio book would be amazing!, Adrian is such a talented actor, enjoyed every moment, thanks again loomer and the assassin's Den crew
Haytham Kenway is a great chracter in my opinion and deserves to be the main focus in future Assassin Creed Games
Haytham will go down as one of my all time favorite AC characters as well as video game characters.
Adrian Hough has an awesome voice.
Haythem= Assassins creed rogue
14:55 He mispronounced 'Ziio's name here too. xD
Deroni76 So I always thought this was funny too but I just recently heard the real story behind her name and it's really interesting (to me anyway). Loomer That's actually pretty interesting, I never knew it. Thanks for sharing! :)
+Deroni76 He says Ziio at 30:48.
Haytham, one of the most engrossing characters.
Can't tell if it's his voice, or his execution that perfectly was delivered upon his character.....I'd say Both.
10/10
Awesome podcast. Adrian did a fantastic job on AC3 and I wish him the best of luck in the BAFTAs.
"Romantic scene with Dio" x'''D He's really into his character when he still can't get her name right.
This was an amazing podcast, loved all of the in depth answers he gave.
Haytham was my favourite character in AC3, largely down to the excellent voice acting. So excellent job Adrian and good luck with the BAFTA.
So proud of Adrian! This is absolutely awesome! xoxo
This always puts a smile on my face :D. Thank you Loomer!!

his voice.....velvet gold......
1:08:59
'' I am so right that I just love saying this to you! ''
Hell yeah! He is on supernatural
The reading from Forsaken was amazing.
0 dislikes just shows the perfection of this actor.
Haytham was the greatest and the most amazing suprise in video games last year IMO. Maybe even in years!
I've been waiting for this
Been waiting for this I love Haytham I want a game for just him.
"Especially for the ladies."
Yeah, yeah, yep.
1:02:11 Actually I think I found Bambi in the game. I shot him with Conner's bow, but I think that might have been him for a couple seconds. Lol ( :
awesome! going to listen to this via mp3.
He was the best Templar ever!
His gonna be in supernatural? Sweet! I want to see that episode now.
I wish he would. Excellent podcast as always guys :)
This man! Lord, I love him so much
matt ryan!
WOULD LOVE to listen to that. I love his voice
OMG FINALLY!! *_* awesome podcast guys!!
He's a Canadian actor! Yay!
he was in Black Sails!
This is great, man.
He was also in Flashpoint. A Canadian police show filmed in Toronto !
This was amazing. Thanks so much guys...I look forward to the next podcast! Also, If I may, I'd like to suggest Fight Club for the podcast ending theme next time. It's just more up-beat and celebratory =P
Oh, I love Haytham. So perfect.
Haytham was born on the same day I was! Best character in ac!!
We NEED one with Matt Ryan!!
i love his voice
I seriously want Adrian to read the entire Forsaken novel in his Haytham accent.
This is perfect. Well done guys :D
This guy is an amazing voice actor. I thought he was English.
