It's about time you did the roll bar! So much work to get the interior back together but nicely done! I did my soft top at the same time as the roll bar so that made it a little easier. I kept the center console and secret compartment and that is it.
I was already a subscriber but this confirmed my suspicions that this was an awesome channel. Great work on the install. I was looking for options and didn’t consider that level of interior could be maintained. I am 6’ 4” and every bit counts in the S2000.
Its comments like these that keeps me motivated to keep doing these videos even though my s2000 content can barley pull 500 views over the last year. Thank you!
NAUS No problem, you did the work so thank yourself. :-) Fantastic job. BTW, I subscribed after your “save your top” video after my previous S2K got a new top. I just got back into another S2K last month. It’s so clean and low mileage (17k) that I want to preserve as much as I can. However, at 6’ 4”, I really need a good roll bar.
No physical strength change to the to chassis at all. Only difference really is it will add a little more weight to the rear , which is not a bad thing the way this car is setup
This looks nice man, awesome job! I'd be too chicken shit to do this with my oem stuff..especially with the ap2 it's got the speakers. Maybe get a second set of ap1 hoops..
Awesome work! I'm really curious if you would daily this car with this roll bar. Does your head rests too close to the roll bar? Is there a chance of hitting your head on a street accident?
I don’t daily the car, but I do drive it a lot on the street. To and from auto cross , close track days, etc. any area my head could possibly touch the rollbar has the high density padding on it underneath the leather cover
Do you think its possible to place the rollbar without removing the bulkhead? I'm thinking of welding in the rollbar to avoid the backing plates, and if I can avoid taking out the bulkhead I can avoid the issues you encountered with the seatbelt and also putting the bulkhead back in.
I would not weld the rollbar in and omit the backing plates. Would be very dangerous in a rollover. The surface area of the backing plates through the steel in the car is what gives this design all its strength from pulling through the frame in a rollover.
@@NAUS2K think the general consensus is that welding is stronger than the bolts. However much harder to take the roll bar out. But I think you answered my question briefly after when you said bulkhead could go in before rollbar to avoid the tight space.
Just got my double diagonal installed this past weekend. This will help me a lot! I am curious you didnt show how much you cut off the side panels under the soft top. It looks like trimming will be minimal. But I was curious if you did anything to them
I realize now that I did not show them, There was trimming all all 3 main panels that the soft top folds on top of . I’ll have to make another vid of the car when I get a chance
I have the sparco QTR and I like it. Just barely fits in the car without hitting the center console and door. It fits me better than the pole position since I'm 6'-1" 200#. I have a 6 point harness and Hans device. It makes track driving so much better. You can relax instead of hold yourself in. I still have the stock seatbelt for street driving.
Wassup with everyone Now getting S2000 n Now really Posting a lot of videos about them, but I forsure need one with a Js Racing Body kit ;) Nice Car BTW
I watched this 4 part series to see how you trimmed the roll hoop covers so I can do it myself and you skipped the entire process of doing that ROFLMAO. Bruh!
I mean, if I showed each cut and shave I made with the Dremmel this video would have been like 40 hours long lol. I tried my best to show the cuts you need to make and where to make them
This is one of the craziest things I've ever seen. Big props
Thanks bro! One of a kind !
Very satisfying install but definitely an install I'd rather have behind me than in front of me!

Wow thanks for documenting. That’s a tremendous amount of work.
Where did you find the leather sleeve and padding?
Great install series, detailed and clean work.
Harddog sells both as an option when you order the bar, It’s my favorite part for sure !
Extremely impressive...loved the video. Awesome work!!!
great video, thanks for posting!
That looks really good and clean!
I need to buy a roll bar for my Miata 🔥🔥👍🏽 great install
That's fantastic, I'd love to do this to my AP1!
Looking good man. Good job!
Great video like always. Question: any perceptible difference in chassis/torsional rigidity? I'd love to do this to my S as well. Thanks.

Thank you sir!

Hats off to you man! that looks great! What edge trim did you use?
Just the regular black stuff that advance auto parts has on the self. It’s got adhesive already inside it so when it’s applied it stays for good
Very clean job. Is that your NB Miata in the other side of the garage? What year? New addition?
It’s an 02 that’s I bought for my wife last October :)
does OEM hardtop fit ontop of the rollbar?
Yes, the soft top up is a tighter fit than a hardtop would be
So freakin dope can’t wait to do mines like this .thanks for the awesome work amazingly documented 👌🏽💯🔥
Appreciate that bro glad I could help!

I am 6’3” and 200 lbs, stay tuned for an upcoming video on my comparison of the two.

Everyone’s getting them because looking back at the last 20 years there’s nothing else like it! Thanks man!
