Hey, I have a 2021 SR5, bought last August. I'm going to keep the original wheels for designated snow tires and get new wheels for some all-terrains to switch out seasonally. I would like to powder coat the original wheels black. I really like the black stock wheels on your 4R, which reinforces my desire to coat mine black. Did you paint your wheels yourself or have them coated? If so how is the finish holding up? Thanks!
Never mind, I just found the answer to my question in your exterior modifications. I'm definitely going to have my stock wheels powder coated for designated snow tires.
Hi, I am glad you find the answer. I like the way they look and feel powder coated. I have another set that I am using for off-road that I plasti dip first and later paint them black to see how it will look before I did the powder coated. I hope helps.
@@Miltonjrlb Oh, I almost missed this response. I appreciate the info. Pretty sure I'll be powder coating my original wheels a gloss black to match the body. And that's my idea too, two sets of wheels and tires for seasonal driving - all-terrains for summer, snow tires for the winter. I like the looks of the KO2s, and they seem strong off-road, but so many 4Runners already have them I might try for another look. Bridgestone A/T Revo 3 look good and quite capable for my off-road purposes, and Bridgestone Blizzacks for winter. Thanks again.
