I MUCH prefer this type of tour. A normal bloke just walking around the home and chatting rather than all the arty close up shots of flowers in vases and place settings plus a presenter leaping around squealing about how amazing it all is. Also, the location is no secret. It's marked on Google Maps as Omaze Cornwall House 2 or something similar.
The other two don't love the house half as much as they love themselves. Barely opened the fridge to see it, fleeting footage of the property but loads of footage of them mucking around. Don't they get it? It's the house we want to see, not them being frisky with each other.
Thank you. Its a more detailed view of the property than the glossy advert. My first thoughts are: Its a lot of steps if anyone is infirm/disabled. There is also a lot of glass indoor and outdoor that would need a regular window cleaner. I am also a little concerned that it has a lot of outdoor furniture. Is there a place to store all that,, as we are talking UK weather! Does the house include the mooring for a boat ( dinghy) on to the river and if yes is there a recurring charge for it? I would love to live there ( or anywhere by the sea) , but must admit i worry about the running costs. It would have to be rented out to rich celebrities, or TV shows or sold in the end, so as long as the £100k covers the cost for a year it will help, At the end of the day i love the omaze homes in Devon and Cornwall. Thanks for doing this one. I have entered, the draw.
There's a bedroom on the ground floor if you're infirm. It seems more adaptable than many if the Omaze houses. The running costs are estimated on the Omaze blog page as £1500 a month (including £185 window cleaner and £400 gardener - ouch, I think I'd just DIY). Though they estimated optional extras like broadband and other annual servicing fees at another £180 pcm. So in reality more like £1700 pcm. So the 100k should last you 5 years. The floorplan has storage rooms both on the lower ground floor, and off the garden under the driveway. Getting tables/sofas in there along a single track path might be fun. Throwing covers over them is probably easier. The sale brochure for the previous house (demolished to make way for this one) listed a private mooring, but didn't mention any fees.
I think it’s a beautiful home and would love to see the garden and yoga room etc, good luck to us all, well done to everyone who has made this house look so beautiful ,your awesome my little 6 yr old said lol bless her ❤x
Luxury Home Show includes the yoga room. Haven't really found anything covering much of the garden yet - though Google maps satellite view hints at something to the north.
Nice house in a lovely location but not for me I don't think- too big! I'd probably live in it for a couple of months just to enjoy that slice of life then promptly sell it and find something smaller.
i bought tickets possibly get this home. getting it would be such a dream come true!! i’m only curious the the lower ground floor as we have not seen it. hoping and praying to win this beautiful home!
Bit of an opportunity wasted as I wouldn't want these two to try and sell me the house as they missed so much. Like, are there auto blinds or would every room need curtains? Is there a garage, a gym, a sauna, etc.? Where's the helipad and secret underwater submarine entrance? It's a stunning house and an amazing opportunity for someone but try again with a decent mike and you don't have to point out that the rooms have "amazing views! as we get it. It's a house with a view. Good luck people and hope we all get an invite to the moving in party!! ;-)
I hope they are paying Cornwall Live otherwise it's free advertising, Omaze is a profit making company, of course they'll throw a few pennies to charity but that's just good PR, we don't want people questioning the morality of taking prime slices of Cornwall for gross profiteering.
He should be wearing a mic you can't hear what he's saying unless you turn the volume up to full but then her voice is too loud. I couldn't hear a thing he was saying
I have to say this tour is awfully done. It appears to be filmed on a phone with no one properly microphoned up. No editing or consideration for the audience in terms of needless dwell time outside the property. Nervous chemistry-less presenting. If the route you were going to take through the house was locked. Either edit that bit out or restart the whole tour again. Half the house was missed out and presenters seem to have little to no knowledge on real estate at all
Did one of the presenters give away the location by stating the name of the Ferry seen on the water when earlier asked the audience not to give the location away?!… Far too amateur in their presentation & editing skills…off-putting!
There's barely any point pretending it's a secret location. Omaze tell you it's Fowey. The footage shows a ferry and 30 seconds on Google maps shows there's only 2 places it might be. Satellite mode narrows it down to one easily with such a prominent house and location (even before somebody publicly bookmarked it). Yes, the video gloss isn't great (mic etc) but I actually prefer the warts and all walkaround far more than the glitzy stage-lit vid on Omaze. You get a better feel for the flow and layout (and bird muck on the windows).
Dont give this guy a job as an estate agent, he’s hopeless at yours. Can’t hear a word he’s sYing as he talks whilst walking away from you. Doesn’t look inspired or interested in what he’s doing. Why wasn’t he mic’red up? Not a good advert for Omaze sadly

Yes, well said. Presenters who make it all about themselves. Coupled with dreadful accents. I'd take this bloke any day of the week to show me around.
Can Luxury Home Show do the full tour of this property. At least they do it in as much detail as possible
They've done a full tour of it.
I wish they would have shown the Lower Ground floor and the Annex next to the Yoga Studio.

Video house tour and the garden, I would like to see the gardens as well please.

I so love this house.
And location ❤
i prefer this tour as well. the other so called presenter's are terrible jumping around like nut case's. pointing here pointing there one the top.

Appreciate the tour. Thanks
And please stop missing out certain rooms we would love to see all of them
Can we see the lower ground floor?
Its probably not decorated with interior design hence not on the video. It's not on the Omaze website either
absolutely amazing.. would be a dream come true

They probably missed the other rooms because Omaze only decorates part of the house so showing empty rooms is not good marketing
I've already moved in...!!! 💫🌛💫
Wow! You guys really need to work on your video skills!!
Sound also & presenting skills…
Seemed fine to me, and conveyed the salient points. Are you an English graduate, who just critiques work and misses out on the message?
I think 36 seconds hovering in silence at the doorway is a little excessive
I hope they are paying Cornwall Live otherwise it's free advertising, Omaze is a profit making company, of course they'll throw a few pennies to charity but that's just good PR, we don't want people questioning the morality of taking prime slices of Cornwall for gross profiteering.
The kitchen seems small for the size of the house.

Could of taken your shoes off !
Guest annex? So somewhere for me to live while i AirB&B this bad boy to pay the huge utility bills.

Not really 'hidden'.
Ferry's a bit noisy
Yeah I thought that
People should remove their shoes. The woman in this video sounds though she has hob nail boots on.
I figured out where it is.
Yeah me too
No sound
Skip forward a bit and it kicks in. The intro section indeed has no sound.
Did one of the presenters give away the location by stating the name of the Ferry seen on the water when earlier asked the audience not to give the location away?!… Far too amateur in their presentation & editing skills…off-putting!
I agree, very amateur. The guy isn't even microphoned up properly

Bedrooms with glass walls... ?
WE have, curtains, blind, and shutters, as options in our house.🤭
Unwatchable, shocking production standards. Don't waste people's time!
