You are absolutely right. Songs from the decades of 50s to 60s were melodious with thoughtful lyrics and a very strong classical base. From 60s to 70s the music became more upbeat with more western music influence but still there was a lot of emphasis on beautiful meaningful lyrics, quality singing and great visuals. From 70s to 80s the trend continued but the emphasis on lyrics was not so much now. In the decade of 1990 to 2000, it all went suddenly downhill with a lot of double-meaning lyrics with accompanying loud, in-the-face visuals. Very few good songs could be heard from that time, especially Bollywood. Then the situation started improving again from 2000 onwards but the lyrics have lost out in this game completely as well as the quality of singing, welcome autotune! Yes, we are still talking and I am not forcing my opinion on anyone.
Neha and Jubin are now remake Queen and King. Though I appreciate Jubin because he does sound like classical more instrumental base, more like cover song than remake But, not for Neha though. Whatever, i can't talk that much in this topic 😶😶

personal opinion: the creativity has regressed so much that writers cant write new lyrics, musicians cant make any different type of music that they have to rely on old songs to remake beacuse their corporation holds rights to those songs and it is better than giving chances to new and upcoming, aspiring musicians, writers, so on and so forth. its so sad to see every movie providing 90% remakes and very rarely a new good song. its just sad that you take an existing song, put a kindof new-disco-bass-ish beat to the same song, sing it on autotune and boom, song ready in 2mins(maggi reference) i feel bad for the sorry state of music (the large corporate type, ik there are individual artists who do make decent originals) anyways, if you enjoy this, its your choice at the end of the day
