So lovely to see you both working in the combine again and also nice to get some extra work there as well when you all ready there catch you both in the next video
❤ from Minnesota! Brings tears to my eyes to see the old combines and tiny elevator. We had a Massy 92 on our small NE farm. And some a 750 on my first custom crew.
I sure like the looks of that long wheel base Pete if it was pulling a pup trailer behind it "would like it was running a 100 mile an hour; sitting still! much less running down the highway hauling a load!
Just started watching your channel. I was on a harvest crew in 1979 in the same area you are starting. It brings back fond memories. There wasn't any windmills then. I will enjoy watching your progress.
I worked for a Wendell Lesmiester out of Minot ND. At that time he ran a 7700JD and a L model Gleaner . We slept in a 1957 converted school bus. That was adventurous for a 20 year old Ohio farm boy. Lol
i started with a mf 750 and moved up to a mf 860 and found out them machines were better suited as an Anker for a ship, moved over to jd combines and had 6 of them with side hill leveling and now running s670 hillco trid a new case a few years ago hated it.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking they are kinda. Helpless on ice and slick mud. In my humble opinion I've had 4wd. Since 1975 and I seldom use 4 wd. Now a days they are TOO Expensive!
Here in Iowa, just down High Way 14, from where I live, is Newton, home of Maytag, laundry machines & that famous Blue Cheese, When Maytag was bought out, they closed the factory, after sitting idle for several years TPI Corp. bought the buildings & now builds those huge wind mill blades! some of those you see in the field might have been build about 30 miles from my home! small world!
Really enjoy watching your video's he moves right along in the field , since I just had knee replacement I look forward to watching your video's . Any idea what the wheat is making ? Here in Illinois we are about two weeks out from the wheat harvest , very hot and dry which will move it along faster . Wheat here averages between 60 to 75 bushels per acre .
Thanks for sharing. Two suggestions: a. don't just call you episodes just" day 13" " day 14" etc .... harvesting is more exciting than that! b. do yourself a favor and buy a big Still back--pack blower and cut your cleaning time in half. (or less) you could still use the compressor for the small things if you want.

Bud Rase combined some sorghum for my Dad using the Oliver self propelled combines. We lived west of Murdock.
What a SMALL world! I’ll have to ask Jim if he remembers your dad.
What was your dad’s name?
I love my 540, an excellent machine
He's a man of few . . . . word!
He’s warming up, though.
My experience is “ be careful what I ask for “, You might just get it. I got it,and Divorced He 18 month’s later. :-)
Great opening combine footage cool vintage equipment grave yard 750 massey is small next to Holland an big Jim
It was fun putting the two machines side by side. Especially since we both have driven both. Good to have you along for the journey!
Love these videos. Keep up the great work guys. Look forward to the next vid.
Thank you, Caleb!!
Cant weit to See you again harvesting
It’ll be starting again before you know it!

Very cool! What was the name of your crew? (If you don’t mind sharing)

That. Is. Awesome!!! I never heard his name. I was wondering because I would have been along with my grandparents that summer, as well.

Like your video Tracy.
Thanks, Dave!
That machine is so quiet compared to the JD 95 on which I learned to drive. Also quieter than the 6600 as well. Equipment has sure changed!
Yes it has!! The machine is super quiet!
Love the videos and look forward to the next ones
Why thank you, Craig!
love your video's. is the salt mine still in operation in Lyons, KS?
Thank you! I think that mine is in Hutchinson, Kansas.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking hauled salt out of Hutch Lyons, and Kanapolis…. just wondering if they are still around... thank you
You probably know way more than me. 😊
It keeps on raining here in Okla. you all think a cranberry header would work on the combine? have to harvest a bog for the berries?
I’m hoping the 4-wheel drive (which we’ve never had) shows us why we should have had it years ago!

If you lose one tire then you get to buy new tires is n a group of4 new tires ,that's no longer cost effect to me.
Ran JDs and Gleaners in the 60s and 70s, lucky to have a cab with a fan, no A/C!
YES!! We are lucky!! I remember running Massey’s with no air conditioning. That was fun running with the door open.

Just a really good video. You are the "backbone" of America - you get the job done. God Bless America and God Bless President Trump! Subscribed.
THANK YOU! We agree! And thank you for subscribing.

It appears to be anywhere from 25-30 bushels per acre. Not as good as anyone had hoped - but better than nothing! Thanks for your note, David!
What do you do clean between farms
Yes, we clean the combine and header between jobs.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your input, Theo. The reason I am titling them like that is because I intend to do one every day that we’re involved with harvest.
What kind of combine and header are u running
We have a New Holland 8.90 combine. And the header is a MacDon flex head.
What is up with the operator of the combine......seems like a real crouch!
🤣
Just a lot on his mind.
Where was Bud Lacey from?
I think you must mean Bud Racey. I didn’t know him but Jim did. He was from the Murdock, Nebraska area.
Why is the music 10 times as loud as the voice.
Because I’m an amateur. Turn your volume down. 🤣
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking but then thats all we do volume up volume down
Sorry! Until I figure it all out, that might be the best way.
Where is Mr K's guns?
Plattsmouth, Nebraska
How long does it take to clean up between jobs ? Love Jim’s humor 😀
Depends on how deep he feels he wants to clean. And if the machine has had any rain on it. I think it took us about 2 hours last night.
desde mexico estupendo suerte cuidense
How wide is your feeder housing?
I just measured it for you. It’s 74” wide.
This is REAL LOVE of wife not Hollywood style !!
Love the video, shame to to the combines let to die in a corner of a field
Thanks, John!
Why is the music so damn loud
Just like I told the other person who wanted to critique the music - I am an amateur. Turn your volume down.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking Like i said then all i do is turn up turn down but iguess thats fun too lol
I’ll try to do better. But can’t guarantee anything. 🤣
