Bassist is plain jaw-droppin' smokin' !! It's a shame there aren't more shots of his work in this video. Hats off brother! Every time I hear this piece, it blows me away. Dayam !
@@krokovay.marcell You're partly right, friend - the fabulous RHT wrote & played the amazing bassline on the original studio version of this song, but that right there is indeed FH doing his own smokin' thang and taking great liberties with the original line! Both are fabulous, but this live version is WICKED!!
Great performance- just disappointed that these great musicians haven't been tagged, which I believe they deserve to be for their beautiful playing. The sax player is the wonderful Finn Peters, who has released several succesfull albums in his own right. Also featured are Trevor Mires, virtuoso trombonist, and Sid Gauld, brilliant trumpeter, respect guys!
Me also. I remember, those days back then, as a young musician, my sister adviced me to listen to a band called incognito. I was like, what the hell, what's this band with no name. Incognito.. pff. Wasted.. 😂😂😂 then, then.. one day, passing by a music shop., got their best of on a cassette. OMG.... The fist song i've heard, still a friend of mine.. i was like . What's going on right here?????????? It was completely new for me.. the harmony, chords . I really laugh to myself remember it .. night over egypt, and so on.. i've got roots also that the rythm blows my mind completely and last but not least. Last song on the album.. Talking lives . The baseline just hit my ear, especially at the end of the song. Great great band.. till then, i've never stop listening..😂😂😂
What a brilliant song. Randy Hope-Taylor on bass and yes, a young Pete Ray Biggin (during his time joining Level 42 on the road for their 30 year anniversary tour) on drums. Killer funk.
Well,we can easelly agree that everyone is kicking ass in this band. Great band, great song, great sound and energy. Long live Icognito! Btw,love 'biggie'(?) on the drums, the right drummer for the right band. 5*'s all around :-)
Moreover, if you dig the way Francis Hylton plays his part you may want to hear the Brazilian bass lady Alana Alberg's cover of Francis's basslines. Look for Alana Alaberg, "Talkin' Loud"
Oh my goodness wonderful 👍😊👍😊👍😊👍😊👍😊👍😊👍😊👍 this is wonderful amazing Yesssssss 😍🙏🙏🙏🥳😉😎😙😚👍😊👍😃😁😃😀😃. Spectacular beautiful song 🤣😍🙏💖. Amazing beautiful 🤩❤️🥰❤️🤩❤️🥰❤️🤩 blessing's....
@neshquabishkuk Yeah, Pete Ray Biggin is a beast. I was completely blown away by his playing on "Life ain't nothing but a good thing" (from Incognito's "Transatlantic RPM"). He tears it up in that track, especially after the Chorus and during the Bridge.

That horn section is a killer. So tight. At some point I thought the band had borrow them from Tower of Power. On another note, I found other version where the sax solo was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better.
@cdstingj It's a shame bassists never appear on videos. Remove the bass and you lose a big groove... He is only shown twice max in this video... But, rellay nice bass playing!
🤣🤣🤣 don't worry bro.. as you said it so well, get the bass away and the groove is dead.. but but... when you're good at something, you don't need the camera or showoff.... we are the heart beats.. and everyone knows when there's no more, everything is just dead... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some of the best bass playing you'll never see.
Except we don't actually 'see' any of it unfortunately haha
Those Bass lines..great.

As a trombonist myself he and all the rest of the guys are killing this, love it
Mr. James Brown wanted this horn-section. Nothing to add. ;)
This was one of their songs that caught my attention.aug2020.

A CLASSIC
Drummer is Pete Ray Biggin (been touring also with Level 42)
The Bass player's name is Francis Hylton. Look for his homepage.
@mabokun817 If it's Adam Deitch you mean, he's a freak of nature, awesome drummer. He's done some phenomenal work with John Scofield.
handsome grooves - yes indeed!
