Titanslayers: Edge of Oblivion - Beidou vs. the Primordial Kraken [Genshin Anime Short]

- From beyond the sea of stars rises a terrifying new titan: the Primordial Kraken, a towering omen of antediluvian calamity. Outmatched and out-gunned by the tentacled threat, a certain monster-slaying aficionado is brought on board the six-man expedition to drive back the eldritch abomination.
With the strength that once felled a great sea-beast and an unlikely team of gunslinging Fontainians, the pirate captain Beidou’s wit and fighting spirit might just be what it takes to turn the tides against the leviathan of yore.

Originally aired at Hoyofair 2024 in April, we delayed the full release by an additional month to include a large chunk of animation at the start, which features new setting and character interactions that better matched our original vision.

For a moment I thought it was an adaptation on how Beidou got her vision. Still loved it, not only for the beautyful animation full of detail, but especially for the concept of alter dimensional eldritch beings lurking in the primordial sea and entering Teyvat by mere coincidence. Exquisitely dreadful

Good lord the attention to detail on this whole video top to bottom is breathtaking
I'm sure it's been said all over social media, but the little hearts coming from Navia and Clorinde's hands at around 3:06 is a very cute background detail. Little details like that really show how much attention went into creating this, for even something in the background to be given that much attention when it's only on frame for maybe one second at best!
Anyway, fantastic job on everything from lighting to sound design, the characters moved and flowed incredibly well, and the action was a lot of fun! Amazing work to everyone who played a part in this!
The voice acting and animation in this was amazing!! Whoever played Beidou and Wriothesley nailed it to honestly! They sounded just like them!
But I also really loved how Xiao kept helping Beidou 🥺 love how you kept him in character by making him try to protect the others. Especially charging head first in there to try and finish it on his own.
All in all, loved everything about this! It’s incredible! 🥺💕💕

The progress there's been between animations, specially on how refined each frame becomes EVEN IMPACT ONES. The lines are so clean and there's so much attention to detail holy sht

As usual animation is fucking immaculate but asides from that THE VOICE ACTING IS IMPECCABLE everyone fits their character really well especially Navia, Wriothesly and Beidou. Props to the voice actors it really stepped up this year's animation to whole different level. I also wanna give notice tot he sound design it always consistently on point its amazing how accurately they're able to depict how certain character skills or things should sound it gives the animation more depth and soul. Amazing work as usual from the team of KEIRU I always look forward to your work every year during Hoyofair and every year you surprise with how you can consciously improve and create better animations thank you!

I am obsessed with this gorgeous animatic! From the colours, to the concept, to the voices, to the characters! It’s all so beautiful and I adore it. I love love the banter between Wriothesley and Beidou I would kill to see them interact with eachother. I loved this the animation and concept so much I couldn’t describe it with words the first time I watched it, so I had to do it three times, haha . Everything about it is amazing, from the way how characters from different regions united under one goal to the way for each of them had a significant and immovable part in this fight. Like, the way Xiao saved Beidou numerous times or how she herself headed the final attack or how Ninguan, Clorinda, Navia and Wriothesley were making important attacks as well. This choreography felt like a puzzle which parts were, as it was said before, immovable from the whole story. It was perfect how you came up with this idea and managed to show how this fight was a mix of both great communication between the forces and characters and almost an incredible luck. And it made their victory even more significant like you could actually sense that they were on edge. It is amazing, I feel like we all own you so many compliments for this masterpiece
And another thing I would want to comment is the first scenes under the water in the submarine. Idk if that was intended, but the whole situation under there felt like a huge and amazing reference on the “Atlantis the Lost Empire” scene with the Leviathan attack in there. Like, overall the blue colour palette, the difference in attitude of people in the crew (Wriothesley/Navia, lol, amazing, I loved it so much), the design of the submarine and may other little details looked kinda similar, but in an extremely good way. I hope I didn’t sound rude by comparing your work to already existing piece of work, but it just felt like a call from childhood with this one. Regardless of anything, thank you for your hard work and amazing animation
