Cameron - I am the person that designed the course - 5 years of playing around on gravel bikes and going on adventures to get to know the forest, so happy you liked it - I had no idea anyone would be so FAST. You have seen about 1/3 of what we have here - you must do Raiders Gravel as we get to play on other tracks! -See you here again very soon and thanks for doing the school run in Gatehouse!
Looks a great course. Hoping to enter next year. Would love to see a similar event in the Highlands too!
Looks way more fun than the mud fest that is Unbound. Scenery is better in Scotland than in Kansas too.

Soon will be - the US giant Discovery network has bought the rights to show the UCI MTB and also the UCI Gravel series - personally I'm not so sure its a good thing in that everything will disappear behind a stiff paywall.

Fabulous insight. Can I ask, what was your hydration strategy. Get through with two jumbo bottles, or really need camel back ?

Gravel needs a World Cup promoter/ organiser and proper coverage, like MTB, CX, etc

Looked like mostly Foresty roads. Bound to suit the Roadmen more than one with a few tricky narrow tech sections in it. So fast any trouble and the gaps would open in a massive way.

Why so many dropped chains in gravel racing of late, seems both 2x & 1x, Sram & Shimano riders are suffering.
I've only dropped a 1x chain once and that was pushed off by a stick that got picked up. Rattled over plenty of pretty big, proper rocks at speed in Snowdonia etc and never shipped a chain... what's going on?
I think a lot of riders are probably running road groupsets.
Why in the world UCI has that bike path race in Italy for their championship when they could be headlining a route like this I can't understand.
The golazo crew are submitting a world champs bid - but as we know it’s not all about the ride quality with UCI ☹️It was a great event, super trails and well run.
