Just ordered this figure, my first hot toys figure ever and I am so excited, I remember watching unboxing videos of the Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield figures when I was a kid, now I’ll finally get to own one !!!!
After you have posed him with the drone, I'm falling in love with this one. There is no restrictions to dynamically posing this Spiderman. I was thinking of getting the Infinity War or Advance Suit version. DECISIONS Decisions decisions... Love your reviews Justin. I purchased some Bob Industries Maxi Cure glue. If I get this version, I will maybe use it on the stand props so that it can stand up correctly.

The drone is nice, but I prefer having the Tom Holland head-sculpt. The only thing that I would have liked on the original is the toe-bend. That's pretty cool.

I just didn’t understand one thing that you said on the end of the video, when you mentioned that finally we have a spider that can make dinamic poses without worrying... the original release also could do that; the upgrades you showed don’t have relation with this particular feature... or have I misunderstood something? Im a spidey almost completist collector, I love the new articulation, buy I still prefer the first version, having the headculpt is a must. Ill go for Mysterio instead of spending on this figure.

I would say when you watched the movies which one left the biggest impression. When one or the other came on screen which one made you say wow. Which one was the most memorable to you. Keep in mind one was a calm Thanos, while the other was angry.
That toe articulation is a nice touch and definitely love the pose ability of this figure. I canceled my PO but thinking I might just order it again lol.

Almost perfect.. sadly it doesn't have the Peter Parker head sculpt the only way to fix it is finding one on eBay..is there any third party company doing a good Time Holland unmasked 1/6 scale head?
I just picked up this version of the Homemade Suit. I have the original, but based on your review, I'm picking up this new one. My Spidey-Senses are telling me, I'm going to love this figure. Thanks.
I'm not fan of this costume to get the figure, but I'm glad HT had the time to make it better, and for those effects for the base it would have been better if they have used another material and a better way to use them with the base, and I wouldn't mind having only that drone... I wish the black and red version would come with this one, but it's smaller, overall I think the accessories are nice except those effects for the base.
That dynamic pose at the end of the video looks like when spidey was battling the drones but in his hommade suit just like when he battled vulture in homecoming but you can do this pose with the upgraded suit on this display base if you want and that idea captures what we all seen in the movie
Thanks so much for the great review! I'm new to Hot Toys, and this is such a great figure for newbies like me since the clothing is much more forgiving than other Spiderman figures. I was wondering if you've had any issues with the figure stand over time becoming loose where the pole attaches to the base. I bought my second hand and it's pretty loose, so it leans forward significantly when I attach either the drone or the figure. I'm wondering if this is normal or something I should be concerned with. Another great and comprehensive review Justin. Those improvements are a nice touch though I still feel updating this version of the suit is totally unnecessary considering how it only appeared for a few seconds in FFH. Also having Hot Toys divide their workload and resources on this release further delays other more worthwhile releases for collectors. Numerous collectors have put up their hard earned money for deposits on drastically delayed figures like Wasp and Gamora and they are sitting on those deposits accumulating interest. This homemade suit is the most obvious cash grab to date since it’s one of the most cost efficient figures to produce aside from the drone
Great review as usual 👏👏👏 Really don't get why Tom Holland sculpt was not included. IMO was the nicest feature of the first version... Even with all improvements, can't agree this is superior just because of that
This is the only time I'll say this but I hope sideshow comes later. I planned on this coming in october and I won't have enough saved up until at least september so hopefully it comes then.
Well I just got this figure it comes in two weeks! I got this one cuase of the dragons and that yo7 cna get those sick dynamite poses! And I did not want to break the fabric on the upgraded suit that’s why I got this figure so exicted!
