Got the new lenses, went from -1.25 / -1.00 to -1.50/-1.25. Tried them on at home and as soon as I put them on I got super dizzy, felt like I was going to pass out, got headaches, and I just had them on for a few SECONDS. Went back to the optometrist to report what happened and they said it was normal and I would get used to it, but I insisted that there was something wrong with the prescription because my previous glasses hadn't caused any reaction of the sort. They insisted that it was normal again. So I told them I wanted my previous prescription (the one I couldn't see 20/20 with anymore) and they said okay reluctantly. One year later and I'm still using the same glasses, still can't see entirely well and why? Because I'm afraid to go there again, pay for a new pair of lenses and experience that again. And here I am now, not knowing what to do... Any suggestions?

Makes sense when they say we will get used to it they are just proving that we can change our eyesight by changing environment , i feel mad cause i v always been told that and when i was 8 years old i had -2,5 and - 5,25 and they probenly over corrected it but my vision started to worsen when i got a laptop at the age of 12 there i had -5,25 and - 8 and on when i was 14 i wore -6.25 - 9 but the year after it grew more so i got new glasses but when i wore my old glasses for a couple days the were perfect for me glad i always kept my old glasses
Hello. Jake please reply. I can see 20/15 with my -0.75 glasses. I have -1.0 in right eye and i dont know if my left eye is -0.5 or -0.75 or -0.25, but, when i wear -0.5 glasses on both eyes, my left eye starts to strain even tough i can see 20/25 or 20/20 with active focus from my left eye with -0.5 glasses. Please tell me if i am wearing wrong prescription. Also when i wake up at around 8 in the morning and spend my day without glasses, when i come back, i feel that my prescription in the left eye is -0.25 because the ciliary spasm has cleared up maybe. I almost fell down the stairs cos I looked down without moving my head. Came back to the doctor and she told me I should move my head whenever looking down cos the lens won't follow my eyes 😂

So I decided to follow your videos and recently had new glasses made that are now -8. My previous glasses were -10.5 and were too strong giving me headaches and eye pain. I got my eyes checked at two separate stores & ended up with same results. And now my eyes still hurt. What could be the underlying reason ? @ Jake Does -5.5 (R) & -4.5 (L) cause your eyes to be tired/ painful (a bit sometimes) . I am someone just getting started with Endmyopia & improving my distant vision habits.
Using myopia glasses just a bit lower/weaker than what u need is enough to help reduce/reverse myopia i wonder? the eye see almost fine but force him self on getting better, every time they get good enough u change for new one just a bit weaker, util u dont need they anymore.

Every optometrist and ophthalmologist is dialing up my astigmatism “prescription” by double from -.75 to -1.5, every time I go to their clinics. My spherical correction is more or less the same with a .25 difference either higher or lower than my current glasses. I assume that’s margin of error. I see clearer when they dial up the cylinder correction, but they always preemptively warn me of future headaches and they say I’ll get used to it. It’s bullshit, right? I’m in the DIY crowd and I kinda got sunk into the progressives ship since 2010. So vision improvement theory is a bit complicated since I’m only 28 and a high myope and got prescribed presbyopia when I was 18, but I don’t think I have that condition and so do a few of ophthalmologists. In any case, I’m confused what to do in my situation. Thanks, Jake for helping us sad myopes for believing our “eye doctors.” My current prescription I’m wearing is progressives OD -7.0 SPH -.75 CYC X180 and OS -6.5 SPH -.75 CYC X180 and they are dialing my astigmatism double and on totally different axises now...

Sir, i live in a small town of asia.Age 24.My prescription is -2.50 in both eye.. which prescription should i wear for close up work? And in day light i am not using them us doing the active focus for the street signs and numbers.. am i doing anything thing wrong?

If the back of you eye feels like its tightening and it hurts this is perfectly normal cause it means your eyes are just trying to adjust

I see some colors sharper when i'm on youtube or reddit and when i look down or up, or left or right without moving my head i see like curved

At 2.25 you say if any of the numbers are higher or the ratios are different that's where the headaches are coming from? Is that correct?
