Grandpa is a master at living off the land! Their incredible garden provides a bounty of natural nutrition. I love when Yoyo eats the healthy fruits and vegetables, and curbs his cake addiction. Sometimes I wonder if he could teach other monkeys how to harvest and process these foods. No wonder we failed in our war against Vietnam .. ( I’m not being political here. ). These resourceful citizens with their tunnels and native food supply could last a long time under invasion.

Grandpa est bon cuisinier et un bon bricoleur. Il s'est donné beaucoup de mal pour faire son plat mais ça en valait le coup. Ça a l'air bon. Et il est habile et imaginatif : il t'a fait un petit radeau à mettre sur l'eau. les canetons et le cochon sont aussi présents 😊

If YoYo is in pain what should the family do about this? Should they stop YoYo from doing all the things he enjoys doing? YoYo is not a baby or a juvenile anymore, he is nearly a mature male monkey and it does not matter if he was raised in a human family or in the wild, he still retains his natural instincts. In the wild YoYo would spend 20% of his day working to obtain enough food to feed himself. He has an innate desire to be useful. YoYo is a very social creature, he very much views dad, mom, grandpa, Ai Tran and Ai Chau as his troop, he wants to do as they do and to feel part of what they do... especially if there is food involved. YoYo has walked upright since he was small, everyone in his "troop" walks upright and it is as much a part of him now as walking is to any of us. it is not like he can be untrained to walk upright, it is far too late to go back to walking on all fours now. YoYo loves what he does with grandpa and his dad and if he did not have so much simulation, engagement and activity he could easily become depressed and even stop eating. The family who keeps YoYo did not get him as a newborn, they got him from his former owner who did not want to care for him anymore and had been keeping him in a cage. YoYo's family gives him a great life! The majority of pet monkeys are abandoned back to the wild long before they reach YoYo's age and that is why you see so few mature monkeys on social media, this wont ever happen to YoYo. He is one of the luckiest monkeys on TH-cam; he has grass to run through, trees to climb, gardens and orchards to eat from, a pond to splash in, creatures to play with and he even has a swimming pool to swim in. His dad even built him an enormous treehouse enclosure where YoYo can safely climb, swing and jump until his hearts content. I know this family has YoYo's best interest at heart and are doing what is right for him. YoYo does not display any of the signs you typically see in a stressed animal or an animal living in substandard conditions, in fact he defies everything we hear about mature primates and this is all because his family gives him everything he needs. YoYo is an amazing monkey, we all love him, but no one loves him as much as his family....
