OG Street Fighter's creator and Fatal Fury's creator are the same person, so if you think about it, this could be considered a sort of long-awaited home coming for Terry and Mai in a main line Street Fighter game

I expect a CVS1-2 re-release sometime next year, since doing it this year could conflict with the MVC re-releases.
I won't be playing it give us MVC 4 or an official MUGEN game made by all developers

They also changed Burn Knuckle back to blue too, hasn’t been that specific color since Terry’s appearance in Smash Ultimate.
Burn Knuckle is blue again. we haven't seen a blue Burn Knuckle since SSBU. Burn Knuckle has always either been red or effectless, so Capcom is doing a wonderful job so far.

1) Both were orphans that were taken under the wing of a great martial artist that ended up being killed by his martial arts partner.
2) Both are wanderer warriors, Terry mostly in the states and Ryu pretty much all around.
3) They love working helping the local community and Is pretty much how they earn income.
4) Both look self improvement rather than being the best or being a showman like Ken.
5) Their latest depictions in their respective series show a more version of themselves that have nothing to prove anymore and if they enter a tournament they might not win because they don't have the drive to do so (they would destroy the competition if they did)
And for fuck sake Ken is on the run in SF6, his brown coat Is nothing like Terry's brown aviator jacket, Terry uses It by choice, Ken to hide from public view.
I cant wait for a scenario where Terry saves Ken from his depressing situation and shows him how amazing life is again.

I think the model is fine, it's just that during certain fast camera angles the characters look weird. But yeah too much realism in these types of games is also bizarre at times.

A nice touch is Terry getting through Lao's defense by a vertical punch. A normal punch with horizontal fist will be blocked by the "arm shield" technique while a vertical punch will easily get through.

Video game fantasy world yes. If we are talking gloves on boxing, depends on size of gloves. But if we are talking bare knuckle boxing or mma, no not really, a solid block is a solid block, a verticle punch might have a higher chance, but at the end of the day even if you pierce through, the block is going to destroy any momentum the punch had.

Welcome back, since weirdly enough he was one of the first characters designed for Street Fighter 1. Capcom and SNK's lore goes way back.
The Capcom guys that designed Terry for Street Fighter 1 at the end used the idea for the main character in Fataly Fury 1. It's a fun piece of trivia.
In a recent Street Fighter 1 episode of The Worst Fighting Game by Matt McMuscles, the main character was supposed to be Joe, the one who punched through the brick wall.
@@ACSMEX you got your facts slightly wrong, he wasn't design for SF1, but his concept (an american fighter MC of a japanese made game) definitely was, what happened was that Takashi Nishiyama the co-creator of SF and essentially the godfather of proyectile special attacks in fighting games (he created the hadoken) designed an american fighter to be the MC of SF1, it's the guy you see punching the wall at the beggining of the game, but capcom insisted the lead to be Japanese, so it was change last minute to be Ryu, which is why Ryu and Ken's original design were so bland, this american character wasn't even named Terry and when Nishiyama went over to SNK he couldn't use his original concept character because even though unused it still belong to capcom, so he started from scratch and bam, we got Terry, so yeah, it's not welcome back, but Welcome.

It’s cool to see him in this game but I think they should’ve had more Street Fighter III characters since SF6 comes right after SF3 in the timeline. Terry Bogard is one of my favorite fighting game characters of all time, and its so cool to see him in a mainline Street Fighter considering in between Street Fighter 1 and 2, the original creator of SF left capcom and made Fatal Fury. I used to play it in a collection on the ps2 with my dad and ever since then, Terry has held a very special place in my heart.
So all we need is a Rival Schools or DarkStalkers character and we're set!

He looks like he should be giving us a behind the scenes look into steroid use in the WWE back in the 90s. He looks like he's played by Mickey Rourke. Tbf, Terry's style has always been MMA, but with a stronger emphasis of being a technical fighter. He's practiced various martial arts as a kid, if you watched the Fatal Fury animated series.

The full circle moment is Terry being canonical in the Street Fighter universe with Ryu and Ken, all of whom were created and conceptualized by Nishiyama.

Finally after all this time, The Pao Pao Café 3 is real.

So it's entirely possible we might see those two beginning to poach moves to upgrade themselves? I mean, I can see Rudra poaching Mai's Ryuenbu at the very least.

Other than the Blue Mary and Joe Higashi references, the one fighting Terry is based on Lao, the punchline and punching bag of many Fatal Fury intros and a part of B. Jenet’s crew, the Lillien Knights. Lao was beaten up in Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

tekken and street fighter are going blow for blow, first they dropped that akuma meat on tekken, completely blew them outta the water, then the bison comeback as a follow up, just to send a message, tekken tries to return with a heichachi reveal, pulling out the ultimate trump card after such a major lose and street fighter knowing its still in the lead just sprinkles us with a little bit of terry just incase anyone forgot sf really said "congrats on stealing our verse with the "dead" villain reveal, oh youre still on season 1? lemme just remind ya what season 2 has in store for ya"

@@alejandrosomoza6899 I do create better things than this. I’m an industrial designer. The products I’ve designed over the course of my career have sold millions of units. I always put quality first.
It is nice to see Terry in the RE Engine. It might not be much shown off right now, but that makes his release coming later in fall all the more exciting. That and it was nice to see the SNK references.
They did the same with AKI so this was expected. Reveal trailer without any gameplay at EVO last year.
On another note, I think Terry is going to be powerful and have great animations and everything else. Capcom has had pretty much a flawless record with the SF6 characters so far, and there's no way they take the foot off the pedal on guest characters as iconic as Terry and Mai.
@@SharkWithFreakinLaserBeam I figured that was all what we were getting too. After the reveal (and how he wasn’t going to be playable until fall) it did seem obvious that this was about all what we were going to get.
Maybe TGS could give us the Terry trailer perhaps? Guess we’ll see.

i can see a sub story quest where terry is helping ken get back on his feet and get motivated .
Fun Fact: The big guy whom Terry is fighting is Lao, the same character who was defeated by Rick Strowd on the intro to Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers.
He looks pretty good. Can't wait for him. There's 2 things i want here.
1.His 2nd costume be the Garou costume.
2.if he's releasing in autumn, PLEASE be in October. If we have to wait until February again for Mai, I'd rather Terry come a bit later so that the gap from him to Mai isn't as bad.
For numero dos, would you be okay with a shadow drop in September? That way, we get Mai all wrapped up in a red bow for Christmas in December, and have Elena make us 'March' to the beats in our heads.
