I like Lara very much (usually prefering metal, hard rock, alternative). Not so far I was amazed by clip on QAF with Lara`s Demain N'existe Pas. It was... hurting.
It's the first time I heard her but she is great no doubt about it, but I know what you mean, is not exactly my kind of music either, I guess rock and pop would be among my favs but I'm open to all kinds of music as long as it is good right ;) I haven't seen it but It sounds gvery emotional.
Ten years of musician school have tought me to choose good music regardless of type. For example I like Christian Kane, espacially his House of rules or Thinking of you.
We can't like it all, but is good to have an open mind, and like in your case having an educated ear, I imagine that it helps a lot! ;) is quality music but not my cup of tea.
It's impossible not to enjoy these two beautiful men!
