Holy cow do I need (at least) one of these. For all the time I’ve spent nerding out on battery testers I’m legitimately amazed that I didn’t know about them. In the cart it goes:)

I wonder if this would be ideal for use with an inverter backup system. Just for monitoring SoC so that I don't deplete the battery past 50%.

I got mine a week ago from Amazon but it came in a tiny cardboard box and very small instructions. But it's the exact same thing. I just hooked it up. My battery is dead dead so I also have a charger hooked up to it but I can't get this monitor to work. I bought a new Optima battery last month and it died really fast.

I have bought the same BM2 . Maybe you have investigated if these don't drain battery by themselves? It's rated 1,5 mA so about 0,02 W power, but you better never trust Chineese products without testing. For example yesterday I have checked my brand new Bosch battery and all voltmeters (all made in chine) showed completely different results: 12,50V / 12,58V / 12,10V / 12.54V ...

I've got two of these connected to 12v lithium batteries (diff brands)....my app picks up both batteries as lead acid and the display constantly says charging......so frustrating

These monitors are for automotive batteries, which are lead acid. They likely aren't compatible with lithium.
