Instead of a BF4 vehicle gameplay video I figured I'd have to upload some kind of BF1 video since the Origin Access trial is available otherwise the comments would be filled with, "why haven't you played BF1?", "have you played the BF1 trial?", "is it bad to lick windows everyday?", "is BF1 good?".
This was all recorded yesterday and we didn't play for very long so I didn't get all of the main support weapons unlocked yet so no BAR :(

For those who do not understand the bug "feature" I slowed down it's something that happened frequently in BF3 and I really don't like it when games do that as I can't help but notice it every time it happens.
Graphical settings in-game were set to ULTRA however I don't think ShadowPlay does it justice. I'm still working on finding an alternative.

Quite a few people have said that the maps are bad even the new ones now available in the BF1 trial but honestly I think the problem is related to game mechanics and not map design. I've played on a lot worse maps.

I forgot to ask this in the description. Has anyone done a comparison guide similar to this one for BF3: www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/battlefield-3-tweak-guide#5 for BF1 or Battlefront? I'd like to see a comparison that breaks down each individual graphical setting like the one Nvidia did for BF3.

If i could play like you i would love the game even more than i do already!!! You are so quick, accurate and sharp!! Dayum!!! I love the game but loving the game and being able to play like this is like night and day!! It sucks to get killed more than to kill.

Ravic how to unlock the mg 15
it was a really smart move to give the support class the repair tool. Encourages a more well rounded team if the same guy who is the best anti armor isn't also the repair guy. BF4 if you weren't playing a map that got very congested like locker then the ammo bag just wasn't a crucial enough gadget for the team to make support a worthwhile class choice.

I've dabbled in it myself. All I can say is to rinse your mouth out with oven cleaner if they're on a house from the 1890's.

this game looks pretty good imo because of the immersive properties i'm seeing, like how i imagine the intensity of ww1 being, i feel like that was captured really well, like the explosions and gas going off around your character as you and your squad like defend a broken building, seems very different from the other bf games and kinda makes me forget all the small mistakes that are in the game rn
These maps look a lot better to me than the BF4 maps, at least more aesthetically pleasing.

Jaycub Bf4 maps look like shit compared to this. I have a cumulative 2342 hours over all of the consoles and PC.

The key to firing an lmg in this game is they become more accurate the longer that you can sustain a single burst of fire
You're giving me hope that it's not totally useless to play support because I'm having a horrendous time with it. Especially with the Lewis gun, which seems incredibly inaccurate even in longer bursts. Then again, you're Ravic. :)
Moose6340 when you get enough war bonds, buy the 1909. It's a dream, and a lot better then the Lewis gun. Although the Lewis isn't bad either.
I've noticed that most people just use the medic /ammo pouches rather than the crates. Either people haven't unlocked the crate or its better to have mobile healing/ammo because of the fast paced nature of BF1.

No they are completely different people
Correct, multiple players teleported from the same spot visually. It's something that was in BF3 that I pointed out frequently in past videos where you would turn a corner and see a teammate or enemy teleport from off screen into a corner.
I feel like the only one who doesn't hate the suppression in bf1 like so many others do.

I played mostley support in the trial and my favourite gun was the M1918 BAR Storm, it shreaded and I also used the scout and the M1903 Sniper was my fav for that class
a good thing about bf1 is how exhausted some lines sound. it's always better than that levelcap screamin voice: look over there!
It's definitely one of the funnest classes to level, I have a lot of fun playing as support.
i feel like to kill a player in this game you need more bullets than bf3 or bf4

its the same as any other past battlefield, just slower firing weapons in this game. pay attention
raw damage *may* be the same but the HS multiplier is lower so yes longer time to kill
The giant cones of fire really lower the skill ceiling.
I got pretty good at Battlefield by just doing what you do and ducking under people's bullets. I even learned how to slap fools around with my 1903 and do goofy stuff with gadgets.

beanywalrus00 it's for fun, battlefield as never been ultra realistic. It as been design to have fun. Do you think players could run around with LMGs in real life? Tank reload as fast as well with unlimited supplies. He's got a wrench it's for repair and he can destroy part with it....why not. There's plainly of game that are trying to be realistic...go play it and see you in a little.
I love how there is pretty much unlimited grenades for support considering how fast the refresh time is for them.. Wonder if they will balance or keep it how it is.

People commented on previous videos that they would address the same issue I showed in the beta with the gas grenades. You can still resupply grenades quite quickly so either it's the same build from the beta or they didn't actually "fix" it.
I suspect they are keeping it that way until the community feels it is a balancing issue. I have noticed the grenades do not resupply as quickly as in the beta but still provides support with one advantage over other classes currently.

The first shot spread mechanic is not a good replacement for the first shot recoil...

in the case of support in bf1 burst fire is not better

Devon Santos but in the case of the lewis gun, the first shot has 100% accuracy so single shots at long range are better than holding down the trigger. In fact i think all LMGs have 100% first shot accuracy.
Devin I thought dice mentioned in the Alpha that they get more accurate the longer you hold the trigger. I might be wrong tho
devin every gun in bf1 has very accurate first shots.
Devon Santos you are partly correct, but the guns in bf1 have first shot multiplier for spread increase. what this means for lmg's is their first shot is accurate than their second shot is innacurate and by their 5th bullet they are almost the same accuracy as the first bullet.

Sadly it's compression in general that kills this game, the compression that everything uses, especially TH-cam throws a fit if there are a lot of small details combined with fast movements so as games look better, their videos get blurrier which is especially true of FPS games like this where you do a lot of quick, fast movements. You can get a slight improvement if you record and upload in 4k but even then it's only slight.
You could recording in 4k with ShadowPlay and it wouldn't make a difference. Still the same issues because it's using the same codec and encoding settings.

Fair enough, I'm not that familiar with Shadowplay as an AMD pleb. I just use a fork of Open Broadcaster with AMD VCE support and it works fine for me, supports the replay buffer and all.
LMGs get me accurate as you fire them over time btw
I don't understand the idea behind lmg's fire to get more accurate method. Because when you are starting to get accurate shots, the gun overheats/runs out of ammo..
What was the bug? Is it the tracking of where the teammates are? When it looked like they just flew to where they were supposed to be? I can't tell if it's the game or the slow mo effect causing that
I've played support exclusively in BF1 trial. Yet I'm not sure if big bag and little bag recover ammo at the same rate.
What's to see in the end?
It's not a glitch or teleportation but the video editing slowdown process that glitches out (Twixtor maybe). You can see the crosshair got the same glitch as he was turning.
So regardless, what was there to see?

What are your thoughts on the skill-cap of this game? I often find it difficult to play games like Battlefront because I feel like there's only so much you can do with a given amount of skill in that game, whereas in Battlefield 4 it appears to be much higher since the gunplay is so much more in-depth. I played the BF1 Beta and it seemed to lean more towards Battlefront's gameplay than BF4, though I'm not quite sure how.
Phone the Music Man agreed. Skilled, intelligent players can dominate on previous BF games. They've moved away from that with battlefront and now this. You can still kick ass on bf1 but I HATE the whole hero pick ups thing. A good fps should not enable a poor player to top the leader board simply because he's buffed to hell imo
Ah but see that's the beauty of it if you are actually good that hero pick up means nothing for them maybe two or three kills.
Son Goten I wouldnt imagine much skill is required if you have a full set of armor and a flamethrower. you can only go so far with that kinda thing, ya know? aim wont help you as much there.

In the beta I managed to separate my character from his shadow. The shadow still mimicked the movements I was making and it was weird because I could see it.
At 3:26 it took about 5 shots before the bullets actually went where the sight was aiming. Jesus Christ

Doktor Ehle top loading guns were a thing in ww1
Spring-loaded magazines weren't really mainstream yet so they had to use top-loaded mags that made use of gravity to reload a weapon. Still a way better alternative than reloading bolt-actions with clips.
