Just don't forget to crank those valve locknuts down to 20 ft-lbs. It's tighter than you think, and when you do it, you have to use a socket, and if the nut turns at all, you have to recheck the lash. Sometimes you need to use a little Kentucky Windage to get them right and to have the locknuts torqued properly at the same time. If the nuts back off, they can go places nuts were never meant to go and will punch a hole in your head. Never happened to me, but I've seen pictures, one just recently in a Facebook group.

Hey! I have a question. I dont have the contact breakers in my engine or the rod through the camshaft. I heard this was original in a 1982 model (special)? Also i believe my valve clearance is 0.05 intake and 0.10 exhaust. But im not too sure since my manual doesn't list all the models...

Hey don't ever spin the engine over with the cam chain tensioner out. When the cam lobes roll over the valve springs it will spin the cam over fast enough to jump or "slip" the cam timing especially if your chain is stretched a little. Don't worry if it does you can get it back in time without having to pull the head or cam covers and definitely not the engine. Fools advice on that one
