I love thinking about this kind of stuff. I would use code words that aren't too out of the norm, instead use words you never say to the other person, like 'honey' or a pet name. If you are on the phone and being listened to, but they can only hear you and not the other end, abruptly changing the topic to where the conversation doesn't feel natural can be the trigger. "Is everything okay?" "Great! I can't wait for dinner, I'll be there soon."
... and never use the same authentication twice ... mark it off and don't use it again because once you use it the other guy has it as he heard it too...
