    Keep these up man, only videos on TH-cam that go part by part thru the acs in depth. Love it

      Thank you!! I’m working on the video for required equipment, it’s taking a bit longer because I go through all of ATOMATOFLAMES and FLAPS, it’ll be out either tonight or tomorrow morning!

    I believe the transopnder inspection is required for both VFR and IFR and not just IFR. I really appreciate your videos, you have helped me a lot!

    Great video - love the series! I didn't know exactly how the tach timer worked and that was really cool info.
    The only question I have is @5:22. I thought it was acceptable to own your own plane, hire a CFI to provide instruction, and NOT require the 100hr inspection as the owner/operator is not the one making money (per 91.409 "...no person may give flight instruction for hire in an aircraft which that person provides..."). I could be wrong in my reading of the section.
    That being said, I would probably not exceed 100hrs most years so an annual would take care of that.

      And Yes I worded that poorly. I said that with the assumption you’re at a flight school, but if you buy your own plane and hire a flight instructor, you do not need the 100hr inspection.
      You can see why they’d make it that way too, if you’re an operator responsible for others safety, you need the 100hr. If you’re just your own guy, hiring an instructor who’s responsible for his own safety, it’s not necessary.

    I might be wrong, but I believe the transponder inspection must be done regardless of VFR/IFR

    For the VOR inspections, who can do those? Can the pilot or CFI do them in the air? Do you then sign it off somewhere?

      The PIC can do them, so a private pilot can, or your CFI, or your CFI can have you do it, and they sign it off, so you get the practice. you can log that you did a VOR check in your planes maintenance log book!
