I just got back from attending ScareFest 16. This was my first ScareFest and I enjoyed myself. The management of lines to get into the con was horrible. They had most people in the GA line regardless if you had pre-purchased or still needed to purchase a ticket. Doors opened at 4 on Friday and we didn't get in the building till almost 6 and there were many behind us. Once inside it was a pretty good experience. I got the entire Fright Night cast and Roger L. Jackson added to my Scream poster. Many of the guests had no wait or very little. Most were upset at not being able to get Matthew Lillard. Outside Lillard the only other ones with notable lines I saw were Skeet Ulrich, Roger Jackson, Chris Sarandon, Nick Castle and Dick Warlock kind of ebbed and flowed over the weekend.
Thank you so much for that. Mostly of what I had heard was Saturday was the worst but also the lines were narrowly taped and the guests seemed crammed together. Appreciate your feedback so much.
The website said General Admission ticket sales were supposed to start at 2 pm on Friday. They didn't start until the doors opened at 4. Then it was 45 minutes after the doors opened until I could get a ticket. If they would have sold the damn tickets before the doors opened like the website said, everyone could have been in the door hours earlier
I agree there are so so so so many conventions, it hurts the wallet! I can't imagine going to as many of them as you do man. My social anxiety would be off the charts
I had a great time on Sunday but yes, there absolutely was mismanagement of the lines on Friday as they tried a new system that several of us had commented in the group that we didn't think would work....and it ended up leaving people waiting up 4 hours to get in. Some of the staff at the door also seemed like they may have been new and uninformed about VIP and re-entry procedures, as well. The Lillard situation could have been better. Tickets should have been presold online like Spookala did with Walton Goggins and most of the drama from the weekend would have been avoided. I do wish they didn't try to cram everything into one room and maybe moved the more popular guests into another room like Horrorhound because the lines get confusing and run into each other and block the flow of traffic. Some with mobility issues struggled to get through the aisles because of that. I knew this would be insane because of Lillard being there (I met him last year so I wasn't in the middle of that drama at Scarefest this year) so we went on Sunday and it was incredibly chill and laid back. They go above and beyond to accomodate the kids on Sunday. We met everyone we wanted to meet. I have zero complaints though I do recommend the suggestions I made above. The line situation was worked out by Sunday as well so we got in the building quickly. We enjoyed ourselves as we do every year. I will say, it was a much different vibe this year as there were thousands of first timers who were so hyped to meet Matt and many were left disappointed as auto tickets were sold out within minutes each day and their expectations for the whole day were crushed. I understand their disappointment. He's one people to thousands of fans. The crew is always open to listening to fans and I do think all these kinks will be sorted for next year. They do work hard to put on a massive show. We had a great day!
Awesome video buddy. I had a couple of friends at this Con also. And you are spot on about there being way too many shows these days. ❤ it’s great for people who can’t travel around the States so they have stuff closer to them but tough on us true collectors lol.
......I'm friends with one of the folks/actors signing autographs/pics and he text me during the show Saturday (I'm in California, was not able to make it this year) and said they counted about 30,000 ish folks attending. He did say though that all the fans who so patiently waited were wonderful and though the lines were long and confusing at times, everyone was friendly and very warm. Hopefully they streamline the lines and entry a little better, for next year It sounded like a blast otherwise!
Great video! Heard this years set a record for them and might have made Scarefest the number one horror con. Didn’t know this was Dick Warlocks last con though. Wouldn’t brought my pop if I did lol

@@garyschellenberg4021 Nice 👍 Love Conventions so much. Even when they are congested and confusing sometimes.

@@scratchnslash13 I bet they did set a record. You hear rumors about it being his last con but hope it’s not true.
hey john. I've decided to pull the plug on the consignments. shipping is just way to much, i hope you understand. -JO23PH
No problem. I understand. Thank you

Hey Joe. I would need the items by Thursday. The show is this Friday.
We chose not to go this year for a number of reasons. But I was curious....what was, like, the average price for autographs this year?
@@Dalekzilla Well no one is under $40 anymore it seems. That’s the starting point. Between $40-$60 was average
I would love to meet you at some point
Do you take out a mortgage to afford the massive number of autographs you purchase?
@@DevilMaskMedia I do consignments for other people. Most of the stuff isn’t mine
I wonder why dick warlock will do no more conventions.
He’s not young and has very bad arthritis in his hands. That’s why he doesn’t do personalizations or quotes.
He's 84 years old.
I was there ! And the info you got! Its sooo soooo Poor!
This video Its not as the level you give bro !
