The gold around the flower looks amazing. As a kid we only got coloring books if we were sick, and had to go to the pharmacy.

You did a great job on these! I’m glad I’m not the only one with a coloring book collection. While I like coloring in coloring books, I don’t always find the time to color in them.

First, I love that you have kids coloring books! I have always loved coloring and have always had coloring books around even as an adult. I was so excited when adult coloring books became a thing, so while I have mostly adult coloring books now, I still have a few kids ones floating around in my collection.
Second, I just did something similar recently with watercolor pencils (and one with oil pastels). I’m taking a drawing class as one of my electives and we had to buy a bunch of supplies. I’d never used watercolor pencils (or oil pastels) so I wanted to test them out and did so using a floral adult coloring book. Yours definitely turned out better than mine..lol!
Third, you should color in the LISA FRANK or the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE coloring books!!!!!!

@@SoCraftastic Thanks so much for the reply!!! I don’t know if I used them correctly but they seemed to have worked really well! They color just like regular color pencils and I thought “there is no way this is going to look like watercolor”. But sure enough just the smallest amount of water took it from pencils marks to watercolor! Really cool! I’m excited to learn how to properly use them in class!

I enjoy all of the colors you use to show how to shade. It adds such dimension! I keep trying, usually with colored pencils. I am encouraged to try water colors again. TU! Would enjoy seeing you color the cats & dogs & how you add dimension to them.😊

The flowers you painted with black look so beautiful. I would of never thought to incorporate black but yours look amazing! I usually use pencils, regular markers or gel pens. If I try to use water colors on “even cardstock” paper or “mixed media” the paper buckles, curls up & blending is difficult?

I thought you did a wonderful job with this “challenge” ! I know that you are supposed to take a “children’s” coloring book but I want to see someone who takes A Sakuems watercolor book and paint one of her wonderful artworks! She is another artist who I watch and she is working hard but the algorithms are not being very nice to her! I hope your doing good with that aspect of the “TUBE” ! Be safe and we will see you next video!

Thank you! Artistro for the single flower at the beginning. The tiny detailing brush is from a set by DACO - they're technically for acrylic & oil but worked just fine.
