Having grown up in Nashville in the 60s, listening to Chet, Floyd Cramer, & Boots Randolph I must say you are a real joy to listen to. Thanks for carrying the music forth.
I've never seen someone suggest moving the guitar to the other leg in order to be able to make a reach for a specific part. Very cool! Creative problem solving and a good reminder that it's it's a holistic hobby. Subscribed!
Those C#+7 & B13 chords are the most painful attempts of a chord I've ever experienced in my life, severe cramps and pain haha! How on earth do people cleanly hold them down? I either barre the high strings with my ring finger well, or avoid blocking the D string with my middle finger. Absolute crazy positions. Your lesson is very helpful nonetheless, and awesome playing
Another great lesson! I’m gonna have to get up and see you guys live. Would LOVE to see you do a lesson of Stray Cats’ Three times a charm from the newest live album ‘Rocked this town.’ Cheers from New London, CT. PS, do you do any private lessons? It would be killer to do a few online with you. Been playing for years, toured in an original hard rock band called Marvelous Liars but want to incorporate some of that jazzy setzer stuff into the rockabilly that I play when I’m sitting at home, alone.
Thank you! Yeah I do private lessons. We can do them over zoom. I offer a monthly private lesson through the TH-cam membership or patreon or you can just contact me directly at theteledynes@gmail.com. I’ll take a listen to that tune and start working up lesson. Thanks again.
Your videos are awesome and your tutorials are on point. I'm building a custom version of the Gretsch White Falcon, do you have any thoughts on Pearly Gates pickups over the filtertron? keep up the great content!
Thanks for the comment! Are you talking about the Seymour Duncan brand pickups? If so they are really nice. You’ll get more of a Gibson sound out of it. So you kinda lose the twang of the filtertrons. But they sound great overall. Thanks again!
@@theteledynes Yes, I am. I'm looking for a more unique sound, but that classic sound is hard to beat. Thanks for your reply. Your channel's awesome! Keep up the amazing videos.
I thought the video title said "How To Play Enter Sandman by Chet Atkins". That would be a cool video though; Metallica in the style of Chet Atkins. I'm sure it's out there somewhere

so did Chet really not play bass notes during the G key part and focus on those wicked slides? Love the guitar and style and production, well done!
Thanks! Yeah that second verse is more chord melody and some banjo rolls at the end there. Thanks for the comment, Cheers!

Thanks I appreciate it
I only have 3 usable fingers on my fretting hand! Is it possible to play this?
Great!! What amp and and delay are you using?
Thanks! I am using a ‘63 Fender Bassman and a Nocturne Mystery Brain Delay pedal.

Ha! Good idea! Yeah that would be cool. I’m sure it is out there somewhere. I start working on a version. Cheers!
Did Chet know all these chord names or was it all just his incredible ear?
Good question. Honestly don’t know much of his musical background. Now I’m curious lol thanks for the comment, cheers!
Enter Sandman next 😂
Haha!
