Made a gray Hoverman antenna with hats. It came out looking custom yet I used materials from around the shed except for the #6 copper wire I bought at home depot. Hitting 90 miles from Granbury Tx to Decatur, channel 47 at 75% strength and the antenna is pointed 75 degrees away from Decatur.. 57 channels in all , mostly DFW 50 miles away. After watching you tear apart that clearstream I decided I ain't wasting my cash on that. After putting in a proper ground , signal strength got a little better. All channels within 60 miles is hitting 100% . Appreciate your video's.
Awesome Danny! After watching your videos, I decided to build two hybrid antennas for side-by-side and I'm going to put them in the attic. I don't expect a massive improvement with the added whiskers, but I do not believe it will hurt a dang thing. Plus I already had the wire on hand and thought why not? Thanks for the videos! Great job!
I've just got to tell you thank you for what you do... I was able to build one of the Gray-Hoverman antennas and it works great for me. I am 37 miles away from my local stations and I am able to receive all of the channels available to me (34). UHF and VHF and great HD too. So Thanks!
I have to say that both antenna really work well. For some reason the Hoverman seems to tweak a little more signal to noise ratio. Would making the reflector with larger rectangular openings make any difference to the antenna performance ??? Thanks
hey danny!! i just made the gray-hoverman and i can get 22 channels without even leaving the living room!!! i can only imagine how many i'll get when i put it up outside on the pole!!!
Danny, Man you was drivin' that truck like you stole it, LOL I am still waiting to see/hear your views on lightning protection for tv antennas, or did I miss it? Thanks Bill
Killer (aka Danny): Have you seen the video where the antenna constructor attaches two straight wires where the balum attaches to boost VHF reception? I believe he said these were 1.2 feet in length . Might be an idea you want to explore to boost the ultimate antenna. D
I HADNT SEEN IT. THAT WILL TAKE AWAY FROM UHF I NO A BETTER WAY.BEENGOING TO SHOW THAT..U HEARD ME TALKING ABOUT THE ALL IN ONE..I WILL DO IT BEFORE LONG
LMAO, fast as Trinity!!! yup, never know what you'll be getting into. I keep expecting you to build a plane or anything, just never know about you. great video though, I liked the side by side comparison.
Danny: I followed you over to this channel to watch the outcome of the ultimate vs. gray hoverman. I going to start addressing you as "killer" in the futrure after seeing your trophy room! (haha).
heres the link to my main channel with 100 antenna VIDEOS...CLK HERE th-cam.com/users/36ericholvideos

Did you ever build a side by side Hooverman?
How far do you set the reflecter off the back of your antenna
Danny, Man you was drivin' that truck like you stole it, LOL I am still waiting to see/hear your views on lightning protection for tv antennas, or did I miss it? Thanks Bill
Just curious of you think having those 2 antennas side by side might help or hurt signal or no difference even thought they are not connected.
NOT HURT
