I've also been following the channel for so long now, ryden wasn't even born and now he's done his first kickflip, I'm really proud of him. :) Hard to believe how time flies by .. Andy and everyone else, thank you very much for letting us be part of it. :)
I was not blessed to see my kid grow up, but watching Ryden all these years persisting and nailing this kickflip, I am immensely proud 🥲 and to Andy being the most amazing father and someone I look up to. This channel has gotten me through some tough times and I just want to thank you all.
Bruh when Andy said he was keeping Ryden's first-kickflip board and wanted him to sign it, that was some wholesome sweetness. That's a proud dad, and he deserves it!
Damn, the fact I've been here sence he landed his first ollie is such an honor to see his land his first kickflip, so proud of you dude, keep shredding and you'll be a pro
Bro I used to watch Andy regularly when I started skating about 12 years old till I was about 15, I come back now and then and can’t believe how much his son has grown up! It’s crazy!
I feel so much pride for this little human I’ve never met. The progression over the years has been awesome. Congratulations to Ryden and Andy. I’m sure this is a moment you two will remember forever.
It's awesome that Andy has all these memories of the time he spends teaching Ryden the life, and it makes for heartwarming content when he shares it with us. Thanks for sharing these moments and giving us a reason to smile.
I've been watching them for about +- 5 years now and to see this ryden conquer this huge milestone in his skateboarding "career" is just making me feel proud so Andy if you see this thank you for being an awesome parent to this young fearless boy 💙💙
The pure joy on Ryden's face when he landed that kickflip made the wait for this video well worth it! Watching him get so close during his warehouse wednesday was heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. Thank you Andy for letting us share this moment with y'all.
Man i have watched Ryden grow from 2 years old doing random fun and funny tricks to being able to KICKFLIP ! i just started skateboarding all because watching this passionate little 2 year old having no fear to do what he loves that is what pushes me to who i am today
I love watching your content Andy and Ryden. From a psychological perspective it's the perfect upbringing for a boy. He clearly knows that you adore him and that he looks up to you. Whether by plan or accident you've taught him to be brave and have confidence in himself. I love how you talk to him as if he was a peer, but with "risk-managing father mode" ready to kick in. This is what gives him the room to explore bravery. You give him time, which is perhaps the most important gift a father can give a son. You give him goals to reach for -- some of them seemingly quite unlikely for a boy to reach (skateboarding, bottle-flipping etc). You've given him a winning life-strategy for when he fails, encouragement to keep trying and praise when he succeeds. It's amazing how "durable" he is, absorbing hard knocks with a laugh, and even hot-sauce and gross drinks! It's amazing how his growing skill enables him to perform amazing feats, often first time (again, bottle flipping and some amazing pong shots!) And you've given him a tribe at the wearhouse who are accepting and attentive to his endeavors, who he looks up to and who also demonstrate perseverence and are quick to praise his accomplishments. It's just so wholesome and natural. It keeps me coming back for more, and reminds me of the amazing things a child is capable of with loving and supportive parents. BTW, I wasn't too sure about the scare pranks at first, as funny as they were. But they're psychologically amazing too. Kids are durable and teaching all your boys to deal with scares and the unknown is epic. I love how you try to scare Syris and he just laughs! There are so many unbelievably fragile and emotionally-stunted kids there are out there because the parents are too over-protective. And a shout-out to you wife as well. I know none of this would happen without her support.
Haven’t been here in a while, crazy to think how long it’s been since I was watching Andy pace around a park talking about how he was going to be a dad. So crazy to be here 9 years later watching his son land his first kick flip

I'm happy and sad at the same time. I haven't watched this channel for about 3 years. Decided to check in since it's been so long and to see how big Ryden has gotten makes me realize how long I've been gone. So happy to see he loves skating just as much as his dad.
